Had last minute labs ordered that we stopped by for the blood draw at Quest and it was a fairly decent visit; the customer service was good. The only reason I deducted a star is that instead of opening at 7 as they said on their website they opened 10 mins late. I came in as a walk in understanding that I might have to wait 30-60 min. After waiting 35 minutes, the lab tech saw 1 person and said nothing to me. She finally came out and said she closes in 10 minutes and can only see the 1 other walk in that was there waiting. Really, really bad service, inefficient use of time and very poorly run. Avoid this location. The problem is not just the wait time. The problem is the overall attitude toward patients and a complete lack of respect for their time. My son and I waited for approximately an hour, only to be denied service at 11:20 a.m. despite the posted hours indicating that the location is open until 11:30 a.m. If patient service actually ends earlier, the hours should reflect that. Closing procedures, packaging specimens, and paperwork are not the same thing as being open to patients. The current hours are misleading. What was most disappointing was the indifference. The staff could clearly see us sitting there the entire time. They have access to the registration system and know how many patients are waiting. If there was no intention of accepting additional walk-ins, we should have been told much earlier instead of being left waiting for an hour only to be turned away at the last minute. The phlebotomist, Serenity, saw us throughout the wait and could have simply informed us that we would not be seen. Instead, that information was withheld until the very end. When I pointed out that we were still within the posted business hours, service was still denied. Quest Diagnostics should either honor the walk-in option advertised for this location or remove it entirely. More importantly, staff should communicate honestly with patients and respect their time. I went to this location for a routine lab blood draw for STI testing. No one was in the office, despite having booked an appointment. When I spoke to the pharmacy staff and customer service, they indicated it was a third-party service, and they have nothing to do with them. I guess this means they can open and close whenever they want with no supervision. 0 stars will never go back. read more

I have no idea what all these negative reviews are about. I ordered my tests online, made an appointment, showed up, checked-in at the kisosk, and had my blood drawn by a very professional phlebotimist with an "easy hand." I was in and out in TEN MINUTES -- and then did some shopping! read more

Dropping off a specimen-not told I needed an appointment to drop off something !! Had to wait an hour to give my specimen!! Really poor patient care-need to rethink how you do care or at least inform patients that you need to make an appointment when you drop off your specimen. read more

I had issues in this location before - never could find electronic order and such - but still it is the closest Quest Diagnostic lab to my house and I am working and need to save time. Today it was absolutely terrible. I've spend 40 min waiting them to go through electronic order and other paperwork, then they weee not able to draw my blood - just because lady is unprofessional, and she start blaming me for that (you didn't drink enough water) and was rude. We stopped by today to get some tests done. We signed up through Jasonhealth, which advertises their testing sites, Quest, as a "walk up" service. The morning hours are 7-11:30. We arrived around 10:25, signed in, and got a number. After the only other person in the lobby got their test and left, we sat awhile before checking with the phlebotomist when it would be our turn. She rudely responded that she was closed and referred us to the signs she had posted "all over" that the lab would be closing at 11 starting today, 11/22. The note directed us to go to the Redwood City location. However, when checking the Quest website, the Redwood City location is not even open! When we mentioned that it wasn't 11 yet, the lady's response was "I'm busy, I've got things to do" The lack of customer service, and lack of communication between sites is completely unacceptable! I had an appointment at @7:30 am Ilham has been very disrespectful ( saying call my supervisor that's fine ) just because I asked for her name. The person she is training can't even draw blood the correct way at all. I had a bad experience with this lab/locations. I finally found time in my day to get the tests done. The technician said the computer was slow. She did receive my orders already. That is fair, and I asked her if there was a tech support person. She did not want to call them because it would soon be her lunch time. This was 45 minutes before her lunch hour. I have had problems on several occasions at this particular lab. Once they sent me away because they don't do blood tests requiring kits on Mondays. That would have been nice to know beforehand... The next time, their computer was down and once again they wouldn't do blood tests requiring kits. The third time, they changed their rules to say you have to have you lab done by 11:30 AM if you have a kit. So once again I was turned away. I suspect this lab may be good for run-of-the-mill tests, but outside of that, it is hit or miss. read more

I have been here twice within the past month. The first time I went I did not have an appointment (10/3/18) and I only waited maybe 20 minutes. While there was only one woman working, she worked quickly and she was so good at drawing blood! I hardly felt the needle! The second time I went was today (11/5/18) and I had an appointment. Again, I did not wait very long and even waited less than last time and the woman working was very quick. She was the only one working so it would be beneficial if they had two people working there. If you care about your health, avoid this place at all costs. They are incompetent and caused me great distress. I went for blood work today at 7.30am. I presented the woman with the form which stated the tests that needed to be conducted. It was same-day test result as this was an urgent and very serious health matter. My doctor kept ringing for the results and was eventually informed that they did not run the specific test due to their failings. By this time the blood had been discarded. On top of the incompetence, the woman is slow (seemed confused using the computer and filling out the information which led to her mistake). She is extremely unfriendly, abrasive, has no communication skills and scowls at patients. She is in the wrong profession. She also needs training or re-training. AVOID this place. read more
