    Went in with no appointment and got everything done, about 8 tests, within 45 minutes. Very quick! Service was friendly.

    I was first refered to the Merced office in 2020 and had no complaints. I was referred again in…read moreJanuary of 2023 and never heard from them. So I mentioned it to my NP who then referred me again in April. The person from my NP's office in charge of outgoing referrals contacted me to let me know she faxed my referral to Central Valley Cardiologist. Again, no phone call from them. So I waited 3 months before calling them myself. The receptionist was completely rude and could not grasp the fact that I had legally changed my name to align with my gender identity and wasted 5 minus of my time telling me she couldn't find me under my new name... we went back and forth with me telling her all of my documents and ID cards have been updated to reflect my new name, she still didn't seem to get it so she put me on hold to speak with the referral person. !0 minutes of silence so I hung up and tried back. The 2nd person I got was equally rude. She transfered me to a 3rd person who was the rudest of all. This person kept saying they never got a referral, and they refused to take the pre-auth number I was told to give them by my doctor. She said I could drive down there to show them the piece of paper I had but she couldn't take it over the phone or schedule me until she had the 15 page referral document. Nevermind the fact that I'd already been there 3 years earlier and they have my records on file. She kept saying the Dr. needs to review my info. I asked her why she was so incompetant and she couldn't answer me. Yet, another sign of their incompetence. All three of them completely rude and incompetant. If you have the option to avoid this office, please do so. Because my original referral was due to intense dizziness with extremely high blood pressure - so they would rather argue with me than set me up with an appointment. This showed me that they cared more about winning an argument than about patient healthcare. They do not care about what's best for the patient. They would rather play games and treat you like you're the one that's the problem. I don't know what happened to the staff at this office over the last 3 years, but they should all be fired and start again with fresh people who are happy to have a job, people who want to help others and take ownership, not refer them out or tell them they can't be seen there.

My 86 year-old husband navigated this system unsuccessfully and someone did evidently help him finally. But we were unable to download the blood test results because someone input his birthdate incorrectly (which would have been someone else other than him as he is not computer competent, nor can he see or hear very well). So I attemped to get a copy from Quest (in Merced). After waiting too long, (20-30 minutes) to speak to a human, I had to interupt one of the staff that was ignoring me when collecting other patients. They do not have a recepitionist! They claim to lack access to results. So, she handed me a card with a phone number so that I could call to get the birhtdate changed online which meant another 30 minutes or more of my time to correct an err we did not make. Still do not have the results. I chose to spend my time looking for a more humane service. I refuse to accept my husband or myself being treated like a cyphers (One having no influence or value; a nonentity)! The Management should be ashamed of implementing such inhumane delivery methods.

My 75-year-old relative was admitted to the emergency department due to a mental health crisis. What we encountered was appalling: the room was filthy, littered with trash, floors unmopped, no bedding, walls stained, and an overwhelming stench filled the air. This was not an isolated issue--both rooms we were moved through were in similarly unsanitary condition. While the hospital often responds to public reviews citing privacy concerns, I found this ironic. As a licensed psychologist, I was shocked by the complete disregard for HIPAA. Conversations about treatment were held openly, with no effort to preserve the dignity or confidentiality of patients in crisis. I visited two different bathrooms on two different floors, and both reeked of urine. I'm not sure how a hospital could maintain a level of cleanliness worse than a gas station restroom, but somehow this facility managed it. Despite being cities away, I felt I had no choice but to remove my relative from their care. The conditions were simply unpalatable and not conducive to anyone's healing--particularly someone experiencing a mental health episode. *Highlights* (because credit is due): The security staff were very kind and helpful Phone calls were answered promptly Medical staff were personable and kind They showed compassion toward patients with mental health conditions However, compassion alone cannot make up for the deplorable conditions and lack of basic patient privacy. I sincerely hope Dignity Health re-evaluates the standard of care provided at this hospital--especially for vulnerable populations. "If you are ever in a crisis call 911 and ask for a different hospital intake."

Golden Valley Health Center will not know if Pfizer or Moderna available until day of injection for COVID 19. Golden Valley put me on a waiting list and never dispensed vaccination. Lack of communication is why I left Dignity years ago but in other ways Golden Valley has its issues too. Dignity has a supply of Moderna vaccine and was able to provide me first dose. Per Stat News: https://www.statnews.com/2021/02/02/comparing-the-covid-19-vaccines-developed-by-pfizer-moderna-and-johnson-johnson/ Each dose of Pfizer's contains 30 micrograms of vaccine. Moderna went with a much larger dose of vaccine, 100 micrograms. Also Moderna requires 28 days between doses v 21 for Pfizer. Moderna ships at minus 4 degrees fahrenheit v minus 94 for Pfizer.

She was persistent that there wasn't until I had to tell her to check her notes and that's when she addressed only one more thing even though I was physically and visibly sick. I told her about my cough, sneezing, and she said that she can not address that and rushed out the door. My blood pressure was 166/115 and she did not even mention that once and that was another concern that came to fruition because they just took it at the office. I would like to see about getting further assistance with this issue. I do not recommend her. Nursing staff were trying to be helpful after my visit with her.

I was very thankful for their service then, but as of now it is a completely different experience. I think people should only come here for Urgent Care needs. DO NOT come here for a follow up appt. I showed up 15min early for a follow up and when they finally put me in a room, they let me sit there for over an hour. When I asked if they forgot I was there, an assistant replied, "no, she's running a little behind. There's one more patient before you." Maybe there's a reason they call us "patient". Me and the assistant get into an immature door opening/closing contest because I want them to know I'm in there and she doesn't want to be uncomfortable. To put the icing on the cake, she walks by and calls me some name in Spanish. Apparently, this is junior high. Real professional. Apart from the waiting and childish assistant, there was also the issue with inconsistent opinions. My first visit, the injury was deemed "superficial". My second visit, Catherine calls it "soft-tissue" damage. So which is it? Mind you, it's Catherine on both visits. Then, I have to fill out the FMLA paperwork FOR them and then they have the nerve to charge me $30. Catherine doesn't want to take the notes or another 5-10minutes to fill it out even though she's made me wait an hour.... You have to fill it out anyways, so why put it off?? Health services today seem to completely ignore the human element of each encounter. I feel like another animal through the processing plant. No respect for a person's time. No respect or listening ear for a person's life situations. I think Merced has this problem in general. Patients are overbooked and offices are operated like mills. If I make an appointment with my primary care doctor, I'm not seen for another month even in the case/risk of serious infection. I have to come to Urgent care to be seen for follow-ups that still make me wait. What was the argument against single-payer healthcare again??? Oh yea! I've been in so much pain and discomfort and it's been a frustrating experience in all.
