The person from my NP's office in charge of outgoing referrals contacted me to let me know she faxed my referral to Central Valley Cardiologist. Again, no phone call from them. So I waited 3 months before calling them myself. The receptionist was completely rude and could not grasp the fact that I had legally changed my name to align with my gender identity and wasted 5 minus of my time telling me she couldn't find me under my new name... we went back and forth with me telling her all of my documents and ID cards have been updated to reflect my new name, she still didn't seem to get it so she put me on hold to speak with the referral person. !0 minutes of silence so I hung up and tried back. The 2nd person I got was equally rude. She transfered me to a 3rd person who was the rudest of all. This person kept saying they never got a referral, and they refused to take the pre-auth number I was told to give them by my doctor. She said I could drive down there to show them the piece of paper I had but she couldn't take it over the phone or schedule me until she had the 15 page referral document. Nevermind the fact that I'd already been there 3 years earlier and they have my records on file. She kept saying the Dr. needs to review my info. I asked her why she was so incompetant and she couldn't answer me. Yet, another sign of their incompetence. All three of them completely rude and incompetant. If you have the option to avoid this office, please do so. Because my original referral was due to intense dizziness with extremely high blood pressure - so they would rather argue with me than set me up with an appointment. This showed me that they cared more about winning an argument than about patient healthcare. They do not care about what's best for the patient. They would rather play games and treat you like you're the one that's the problem. I don't know what happened to the staff at this office over the last 3 years, but they should all be fired and start again with fresh people who are happy to have a job, people who want to help others and take ownership, not refer them out or tell them they can't be seen there.

But we were unable to download the blood test results because someone input his birthdate incorrectly (which would have been someone else other than him as he is not computer competent, nor can he see or hear very well). So I attemped to get a copy from Quest (in Merced). After waiting too long, (20-30 minutes) to speak to a human, I had to interupt one of the staff that was ignoring me when collecting other patients. They do not have a recepitionist! They claim to lack access to results. So, she handed me a card with a phone number so that I could call to get the birhtdate changed online which meant another 30 minutes or more of my time to correct an err we did not make. Still do not have the results. I chose to spend my time looking for a more humane service. I refuse to accept my husband or myself being treated like a cyphers (One having no influence or value; a nonentity)! The Management should be ashamed of implementing such inhumane delivery methods.

I said if I owe the amount your stating send me the bill that I can visually see and I will make the payment, 2 months later no bill no calls nothing. My insurance has no copayments and a yearly deductible of 100. And that deductible is paid to the facility that makes the first claim at for the first medical visit of the year. I'm not denying payment I refused when I was denied a bill with itemization or explanation of an amount "owed" several years old. They have monopolized Merced county and hate the fact that the county has allowed them to that with no other options for labs around the area. Dr John McNeal for going to see my dad in the ER sooner than later. he sat down and listened to my dad and myself. He explained well, was not rushed, and also made us feel comfortable with the care. Dr Fiero from ER, he was also quick, explained things well, joked around with my dad, was appropriately concerned and got things done. He was so nice! I want him as my grandpa he's a sweetheart. Great care from the nurses Mary so profesional, smart, and caring. She was teaching Vince Jr. who also did great speaking with my dad, starting his ivs, and giving his meds as he needed them. Thanks for shaving him too. Thank Kayla RT for your excellent watchfulness of his breathing . And thank you Beban for helping us get home. A Health Hazard Disguised as a Hospital…read more This was my first and only experience with Mercy Hospital under Dignity Health, and I can say without exaggeration that I would prefer to go to an unlicensed facility before returning here. My 75-year-old relative was admitted to the emergency department due to a mental health crisis. What we encountered was appalling: the room was filthy, littered with trash, floors unmopped, no bedding, walls stained, and an overwhelming stench filled the air. This was not an isolated issue--both rooms we were moved through were in similarly unsanitary condition. While the hospital often responds to public reviews citing privacy concerns, I found this ironic. As a licensed psychologist, I was shocked by the complete disregard for HIPAA. Conversations about treatment were held openly, with no effort to preserve the dignity or confidentiality of patients in crisis. I visited two different bathrooms on two different floors, and both reeked of urine. I'm not sure how a hospital could maintain a level of cleanliness worse than a gas station restroom, but somehow this facility managed it. Despite being cities away, I felt I had no choice but to remove my relative from their care. The conditions were simply unpalatable and not conducive to anyone's healing--particularly someone experiencing a mental health episode. *Highlights* (because credit is due): The security staff were very kind and helpful Phone calls were answered promptly Medical staff were personable and kind They showed compassion toward patients with mental health conditions However, compassion alone cannot make up for the deplorable conditions and lack of basic patient privacy. I sincerely hope Dignity Health re-evaluates the standard of care provided at this hospital--especially for vulnerable populations. She was persistent that there wasn't until I had to tell her to check her notes and that's when she addressed only one more thing even though I was physically and visibly sick. I told her about my cough, sneezing, and she said that she can not address that and rushed out the door. My blood pressure was 166/115 and she did not even mention that once and that was another concern that came to fruition because they just took it at the office. I would like to see about getting further assistance with this issue. I do not recommend her. Nursing staff were trying to be helpful after my visit with her.
