Hi everyone, please avoid this place at all costs. It's a run down place that's for sure just a money grab. Besides the place being very dirty, it is cramped as well. Their grading system is extremely difficult, they are not forgiving at all. I know we have to be professional in this field and having a rigorous test is part of the experience, but the TO's who facilitated my test failed to acknowledge that I actually did do 2 steps. I was failed twice and then I immediately passed somewhere else. You're required to get every step correct, you can't miss a single step. They don't offer videos or refresher courses and we all know that the cna skills exam is very different from real life and the steps and requirements change often. My 2nd try, I got 100%, 98% and 95%, missing 1 step out the last 2, which I actually did perform and they still failed me. There is a REASON THIS PLACE is not accredited. I believe they are preying on immigrants or people in poverty, failing them for steps that are extremely hard to prove that we actually did, to obtain more money, knowing that these groups of people are desperate for work. Each skills exam is about $130. Many students in or around Oakland have complained about this same occurrence at this facility. Please, be aware! I had the same skill 2 times and each time they instructed me to perform it differently. One time, they instructed me to only use the sink in the main room (which is as tiny as a closet) and the 2nd time they instructed me to use the bathroom down the hall, for the same skill, within 1 week of each other. So the consistency is off too. The facilitator, Praise is rude and the other facilitator was on her phone, not even paying attention. No professionalism even though they require you to be professional. THE SCAM; If you don't show up 20 minutes early, they make you reschedule and pay again. They put it in really fine print as well. I saw someone show up, and I am not kidding, 18 minutes early. She actually might have been on time, but the woman who checks the ID's didn't come check hers until 18 minutes, and told her she had to reschedule and pay again even though the place was empty and it was just her and I in the building. They are strict with some things but because their facility is just not equipped for testing and their small room is as big as a closet, instead of a chair, they only have the wheelchair available. So when feeding a resident, you have to sit on the wheelchair, although I'm sure they would flunk you for that too. Some businesses do open with malicious intent and CNA testing sites can be an overlooked way for the business's to make money, especially when they flunk people. This school should be shut down. Please do not waste your time. There are many other programs out there that will give you a better chance at being successful in nursing. This program is highly disorganized, the staff and instructors are extremely rude and unprofessional. All they will do is take your money. And if you have any major issues or concerns, please do not waste your time, reaching out to the state board as they are in bed with Stacy. This is a put up and shut up program. Listen to me; Go to an accredited institution. That way all the classes you take will follow you. I wasted so much time and effort here. I did their LVN program. I really enjoyed it! They offer part time and full time programs. I was able to work while completing the program and they offer a work-study option. Compared to Gurnicke and Unitek, they are thousands cheaper and get you to the same place. Despite the program being held during covid when many places were not accepting students, we were able to get clinical and preceptorship placements. I learned a lot from the awesome instructors and most importantly, the program director Ms. Stacey. She is amazing! She is very responsive, open, and communicative. She truly cares for every student. Ultimately, no matter what nursing program you choose, it will come down to you. I still had to use outside resources at times to supplement my learning. I think this is common in any program and does not reflect poorly on the school. Your instructors will vary in how they teach or "nurse", but overall I had a fair experience. You may qualify to retake certain exams, retake terms, or reach out to Ms. Stacey if there was issues and she would commit to finding a fair, working solution. I learned a lot and am happy to be a LVN. It was well-worth the ~15 months of sacrifice as I learned so much and developed great mentors and relationships. I just completed Quest's CNA, 5-week program, and I'm an EXTREMELEY SATISFIED customer who is happy with my return on investment. The compassionate instructors, who started out as CNAs as well, a long time ago, are currently seasoned nurses that have many years of health care experience under their belts. I enjoyed listening to them share their own personal nursing related experiences, something a textbook cannot provide. They want us to be the best, leaving no student behind. Their professional, experienced and friendly approach to teaching, made the learning process a smooth, pleasant experience. Also, they love answering questions, so ask away! I want to show a much-deserved appreciation to Nurse Jenny and Nurse Stacy for becoming an inspiration, mentor and role model for myself. My next step is Nursing School and I feel more confident than ever, having soaked up their wisdom. The entire Quest Staff deserves capes for Christmas because they deserve it. Shout out to Sara from the Administration Team for making the enrollment process painless. The 8-day classroom portion was then followed by a 13-day clinical, which was at a skilled nursing facility. There were 9 people in my class, including myself and everyone finished. The teacher to student ratio favored a productive, efficient, and unintimidating learning environment, a one on one approach to their curriculum. I noticed that many of my classmates exhibited higher self esteem and confidence as we approached the end of our clinical experience. The camaraderie among the students and instructors felt like that of belonging to a sports team. There was a sense of pride knowing we were helping restore the dignity of the residents. This place is not accredited for a reason!! There is no support from Ms.Stacey or the admin to help if you need extra support to study or during clinicals. This is not a school that benefits the nursing community at. All they care about are payments being made. They prey on individuals who have the heart to help and take advantage of their kindness. I made it through phase 3 of the L.V.N program just three weeks away from graduation with my nursing peers. I was making monthly payments and working part time and taking the L.V.N course and working at Jones convalescent in san leandro overnights. Ms.Stacey made a huge mistake and emailed me from her personal email asking why I continued to make payments three to five days late. I told her that is how my paychecks come as i recieve a lump payment in the beginning of the month. She proceeed to email me that late payments are late even if by a few days. She then emailed me that she has bills to pay and she has given me enough leadway because she "Allows" me to work at a skilled nursing facility to pay a cheaper tuition. I made my monthly payment of over 1500 a few days later and thought the drama was over. The beginning of the next week, Ms. Stacey emailed me and her email said if I cannot make the full payment for my L.V.N program that i would be dropped due to non payment. I didn't want to take out a student loan nor ask my family for help. This is a cash grab business!!! Let's start saying that I'm very thankful with all their staff , teachers are so nice and believe me they are amazing teachers ,they really know what they doing and how get you ready for the board exam , I took this Training almost two years ago , even when my English was not really well I passed the board exam first time , you know why because I read a lot, I followed teachers recommendation and on my clinical hours I tried to do as much I can , that way when u took the board , u feel really familiar with the scenario. Quest Nursing education program journey in the beginning was very difficult but it all depends on individual. As my experience having a good connection with your classmate and having a good friend makes your life easier. I started my LVN for 15 month course part time 3 days a week . Graduated Nov 2023 . Term 1-4 . Term 1 felt lost , almost gave up due to not enough information and help, term 2 felt better, term 3 different experiences with clinical , term 4 so much exam ,quiz, thinking you can't do this but with the study guide and resource that school provided made me from the beginner really made a difference. Even during the Nclex. It was a smooth transistor. I truly thank Dr Stacey for all the information and ATI quizzes did prepare so much confidence. Apart from that my other resource is to look to Remar nurse on YouTube, and listen to MarkClimek on Spotify when your on term 3-4 readiness for Nclex . Good luck all. read more

If you are hoping to become an RN or LVN or have some sort of position in the medical field, take Quest's CNA course first (or any of their courses for that matter). I just finished the CNA program there and I really couldn't be happier with the way it turned out and the knowledge I now hold, thanks to them. The instructors, Stacey and Jennie, truly care about your success and want the best for you, all the while continuing to challenge you throughout the course. They emphasize discipline i.e. always wear scrubs, a wristwatch, have your BP kit, BE ON TIME! They really set you up to conduct yourself professionally from the very beginning; it's so much more than just textbook learning. I already feel ahead of the game in terms of my own future career in the medical field. I really can't say enough good things about Quest. By the end of the program I felt such a sense of accomplishment and made some new friends along the way, and with the help of Sara the Admin, feel completely prepared going into certification testing. Worst place ever. The instructor their is very discriminating with your nationality and belief. They sent me home from the training then I had to pay 200 dollars extra. I had nurses at their seeing what happen and talked to the director over their but she didn't care. They don't value your money. Because they should respect you. Because your paying. Not able to practice any of the skills in the classroom and not going to nursing facility due to COVID. Showing the instructor a skill one time via Zoom is not enough skills practice to pass the state exam. When I called they offered very little help in this area and made me feel as though I was bothering them. read more

This is literally the worst school I have ever been to. The instructors pay no attention to their student. The class room is in a building with 3 other businesses. It is the most difficult thing for testing. Parking is awful, my classmate got her car broken into in front of the building. "Upper management" is impossible to get ahold of. A complete waste of time and money. Ms. Stacy is really the only perk of this school, she is the most caring person and loves to see her students success. However she is an instructor you see very minimally during your 6 weeks as a CNA. But again not recommend, terrible school. read more

After graduating from college, I was unsure of my path to nursing, but I took a chance and decided to take the 6-week Certified Nurse Assistant course with Quest and have no regrets about it. I passed the CNA state exam a few weeks after completion of the program, and it was because of the knowledgeable and supportive Ms. Stacey and practical advice from Ms. Jocelyn. The front desk lady Janet handles the administrative duties and paper work, and I found her to be professional and friendly throughout my time with Quest. I really appreciated the flexibility of the program (offers both a day and evening course, for those who are working part-/full-time jobs or are still in school). The clinicals were at skilled nursing facilities in El Cerrito and west Berkeley -- they were eye-opening and absolutely critical to student success because it's where you apply classroom/book learning to the real world. You also finish the program CPR certified, which is wonderful. I had fun bonding with my six other classmates, my instructors, the nurses and nurse assistants, and the residents at the long-term care facilities. This school is one of the best kept hidden secrets of Nursing programs. A lot of health care staff if you find out have actually attended this school for their certification or continuing education course. The school has a new building with three floors; they used to be located on broadway st. The education taught is very detailed and I really appreciated how much info I learned in a short amount of time. The staff is very knowledgeable and the admin receptionist is exceptional. I called several times and was bung up on and the lady was RUDE!!!! Not cool Quest!!!!!

I choose Quest to get ahead and pursue my passion to take care of others.Choosing Quest was a big mistake that cost me $150. I enrolled for the August class. I completed the Admission Application Checklist, physical examination, live scan and I paid the $150 application fee. The only thing I needed to do was pay the remainder $775. My Grandmother was diagnosed with lung disease. I flew home for two weeks to care for her. Before I left I contacted Dana to get excused from the class. Dana assured me that I would be accommodated and told me I could start in Sept. Once I returned she had a different attitude. Dana said sorry Sept class is full and unfortunately you will have to repay the$150 application. I wish she could have explained the payment plan more clear. She did not say I had to pay $400 deposit to hold a spot. I refuse to repay the fee. I believe the fee should be waived. I had no idea that Quest was running a scam on enrollees. I believed Quest served to facilitate an educational learning environment to help students become victors not victims. DO NOT CHOOSE QUEST! Even after I spoke to Stacey to get a better understanding of why I had to repay she basically blew me off and had a careless attitude.
