I reluctantly signed up for a pole class after a friend raved about one she had attended in Vegas…read morewhile at a bachelorette party. I was a little nervous at first, wondering what I may have gotten myself into (let's just say dance isn't a strong point for me.) I also wondered what to wear to such a class? The class ended up being a TON of fun and more of a workout than I had anticipated. Pole Fitness is no joke! The class begins with a warm up that's part yoga, part pole stretches and quickly progresses into building a routine of about 8 moves centered on and around the pole. We laughed, danced and ended up with a great workout, amazed at how an hour could have passed so quickly! Gather up your girls and go check out this class! We already have a date for our next session! FYI: Bare feet seem to work best for beginners. Short shorts! The shorter, the better! Some moves need skin to pole contact to keep you from sliding. I went in shorts that came to just above my knee and i was ok for most of the routines.

When I started training here over 9 years ago, I did not think I would like karate, but instantly after my first class, I knew I wanted to commit to training in martial arts since it was so fun! The instructors here also do a great job at teaching kids and adults of all ages fantastic character development skills, which helps people become leaders and help out other people. At Ripple Effect they talk about being respectful to people, and how students should not only be respectful at karate, but also at school and home which is a fantastic thing for kids to hear.
