This was my/our first time getting anything framed so walking into Quick Art Frame I guess we felt a little...um, clueless. No fear with the friendly and efficient service from the staff we were able to pick out 2 frames for the pieces we brought in. The guy who helped us was great. I apologized for making him run around grabbing different frames but he really didn't take any mind to us running him a bit ragged. To quote him "I do this all day long." The original frame we were thinking of going with was a bit expensive so he helped us find something more in our price range. Didn't try to talk us into getting anything other than what we could manage. I love that. The other staff members that were there also seemed really friendly. I'm all about good customer service. No one wants to walk into a shop with disgruntled, grumpy workers. Fast forward two weeks later and we get a call this morning saying our pictures are ready for pick up. Yay! We picked them up this evening and they were better than we expected. The guy even remembered us as we walked in and went and got our pictures without even asking for our receipt. So he remembered us and our pictures...again...great customer service. We'll definitely use Quick Art Frame for any future framing we might need and won't hesitate to refer them to our family and friends. Oh, and they have a tandem parking lot in back which we didn't know about when we first dropped off the pictures but street parking was easy enough. read more

I really, really wanted to love this place. We found the online and the yelp reviews were good so we gave them a try. My husband had three small posters that he wanted framed very plainly and they had a $19.95 deal for each so we went for it. When we picked up the posters, one had a scratch in the black ink along the bottom. We pointed it out and they said they could touch it up and to come back in a week. We came back two days after they said it would be ready and after looking around for awhile and calling the manager, found out that it was sitting on their delivery van which was out at the moment. They told me to come back the next day. I explained that I didn't live close by and they said to bring in something else I wanted framed the next day and they'd give me a "really good deal." Sigh. Okay. I went back the next day and the poster was in the store, thank goodness. I had a more complicated project with a playbill and picture for them to frame with a mat and they offered me a 15% discount for the trouble with the last project which came to about $12....not great but fine. Now I had to come back a week later to pick up this new project. I cam and got it and it looked crooked to me but they guy I picked it up from didn't seem to think so, so I brought it home. After showing it to several others, everyone agrees that they playbill is inserted into the hole in the mat at an angle. It's not severe but it's definitely noticeable. There's paper on the back of the frame so I don't want to fix it myself but I definitely don't want to make another far trip to this place (two after having to pick it up) to get it fixed. We've also noticed that the posters my Husband had framed have ripples on them when you look at them from any angle but head one. They're not perfectly flat against the glass. This isn't something that should happen. Lesson learned. This place is fine if you're not going to look too closely but if you actually care about the quality of the work - go somewhere else. I wish I hadn't spend $70 after a paltry discount to get my playbill framed because now I'm out $70 and I'm still going to have to get a different framer to fix it. read more

This place is awesome. They do all custom work. This is a very specific place to get a specific job done. And they're good at it. I got dog fur framed. Yes, dog fur. I forgot his name but there was a guy there with glasses who was really helpful, nice, and had a good sense of humor. It was my first time there and I know nothing of art or framing. He walked me through everything. He gave me advice on which backing to get in terms of color and texture. He gave me a variety of frames to choose from and helped me narrow it down because I was clueless. I told the guy that I wasn't in a hurry and I got it back about a week later. When I received the frame, it was enveloped in protective paper and saran wrap which kept the corners sharp. Total I paid about $150 for my dog fur frame. It is a big piece about 3 by 2 feet and had a depth of 8 inches. I feel like it's expensive but worth it because of the time and quality that came out of it. Aaron Brother's quoted me $200, they got it done using better materials for $40. That's right! I live across the street from Aaron brothers in West Hollywood and I had brought an irregular sized poster to them for framing and the cheapest they they could do it for (using the cheapest materials) was $200. Good thing I remember seeing this hidden frame store on 3rd street with a sign that says poster framing $19. They could have done the $200 work that Aaron brothers quoted me for $19 but I ended up upgrading the materials so all in all it cost me just $40. I arrived in Los Angeles with unframed art under my arm and a mess of blank walls in my new apartment. (YOU try safely checking framed art on your next flight!) Quick Art Frame's been really helping me turn my apartment into a home. I first brought them a set of spray painted stencils Fly Orr had sent me. The mat and the aluminum frame they helped me pick were well-proportioned, and they really helped the art shine. There's now a little bit of the LES hanging here in LA. I was thrilled! I returned a few weeks later with one of Elle's street art sketches. (Before it was a mural, it was a sketch!) The team remembered the work they'd done on the previous pieces, and they matched both the mat and the frame. Sure the shop's bare-bones, but they know their craft, and they really know their customer. I trust them with my artwork implicitly. Next time, I'm going to see how they handle some larger Paul McCarthy photo prints. read more

My favorite framing place in LA. Since a friend recommended this place to us and told us about their $20 poster framing deal, we did all of our framing here. From normal posters (they have a few frames to choose from, although we go with the classic black) to more custom framed artwork (also reasonably priced), almost everything we have framed in our place was done here. I love their personalized service, people who work here are super cool, know their craft very well and they're nice to talk to. This place has charm, character, I love to look around to see what other people brought for framing, always interesting artwork to check out. The downside is the parking, either metered in front of the store (watch for parking enforcement, I always see them around in this area) or in the neighborhood and walk a bit. Also, this place isn't that close, I'll try their Studio City location soon as see what I'll experience. This location is great, I always recommend it to friends. read more
