Save yourself the trouble -- go somewhere else. I brought my car to Quick Boys Brake & Tune in Fremont to have a bearing replaced. Right away, there were red flags: I had to source and bring in the replacement parts myself, and once they started the job, they told me they couldn't remove my hub -- so they used a torch to cut it off instead. That damaged the hub, meaning I then had to buy a replacement hub on top of the original part. They also pulled off my CV axle by banging it out, and it turned out they didn't even realize the bearing required 3 seals. I stayed and watched the entire job from start to finish. When they were done, they put everything back together and I paid and left. As soon as I got on the freeway, there was a loud noise that hadn't been there before. I went back the very next day. They told me the mechanic who'd worked on my car wasn't in that day and that I'd need to come back when he was scheduled. I got a second opinion from another shop in the meantime, and their diagnostic confirmed exactly what I suspected: the bearing had been installed incorrectly. I brought the car back to Quick Boys again with this information. This time the workers were argumentative, and they still refused to fix what they hadn't installed correctly the first time. If you care about your car -- or just want a shop that knows what they're doing and stands behind their work -- I'd steer clear of this place. I had to supply my own parts, watched them torch off a hub and damage it, buy replacement parts they should have known I needed, and then get turned away twice when the job they did caused a new noise on the way home. read more

Great service and good value. I paid $99 for a synthetic oil change good for 5,000 miles. The staff is fast, helpful, and they speak both Spanish and English. I have been coming to this shop for 3 years, and all three cars in my family have been serviced here. But this time, very disappointing experience. I brought my car in for a tire replacement, and the they installed the wrong tire size. It took about a week and another visit for them to correct it. After the correct tires were installed, my TPMS warning light started flashing. I went back 5 times, and each time they told me it was fixed, but the light came back within hours or the next day. They later claimed the issue was caused by a spare tire TPMS sensor and wanted to charge me extra, but dealed confirmed that my car does not even have a TPMS sensor in the spare tire. After several failed attempts, the issue is still not resolved, and they told me not to come back. Update (in response to the owner's reply): Replacing the wrong tire size was your responsibility, not a favor, though I still left a $30 tip. The issue has not been properly resolved for over a month. Manager Beto hung up on me, and my emails were never answered. The multiple visits happened because your shop never identified the real problem. I was given different explanations each time: my car's system, a bad spare tire sensor, and then a bad LR sensor. If the sensor was actually the problem, was the battery simply dead, or was it damaged during the tire replacement? I never received a clear answer. At no point did anyone apologize for installing the wrong tire size or for the month-long inconvenience and repeated return visits caused by this issue. read more

Was greeted by Beto who took his time to explain to me why my car was making a slight noise when I pressed on the brake. He took a drive with me, showed pictures of my actual break pads and explained the issue as well as the importance of also replacing the front rotors. I got to the shop around 4:15 in the afternoon and he shared with me that my car would be done in about an hour, but I decided to leave it overnight and pick it up in the morning. Beto called me the following morning to tell me that my car was ready for pick up and that I could arrive anytime that was convenient for me. I am very pleased with the work that was completed on my car: new front and back brake pads, front rotors, brake fluid, transmission fluid, oil, change, and new tire pressure sensors. Had a great experience on couple of visits. Yesterday I went to Quick Boys for replacement of low beam lights for my Mercedez car. I had bought bulbs earlier I wanted to get an estimate for the work. The floor manager explained to me that some Merc cars need removal of bumper and some don't. It turned out that my car did not need bumper removal and his mechanic replaced the bulbs in 5 mins! The manager did not charge me anything. I gave some tip to the mechanic out of gratitude. The shop saved me hundreds of dollars for sure. Earlier the same shop saved me money for battery. I thought I needed replacement. But they checked it and reassured me that the battery will hold charge. Really appreciate the people working there. They do professional job at a good price. Did several oil changes for both of my cars here: Mercedes S450 and Infiniti QX60, including engine, brake, transmission, differential fluids. Beto and his stuff are very friendly and efficient. Beto was also transparent about the cost. I got charged no more than what he originally estimated. Both of my cars are 4-6 years old with no known issues. I have tried to get quotes from multiple dealers and other Indy shops, they are charging $500-$1500 for these common oil changes, with probably $600-800/hr effective labor cost. I am glad to find this shop who is charging a reasonable price for honest works. I'm not 100% sure if these guys are better than the mechanics at the dealership, but they have more than enough knowledge to take care of my car's routine maintenance. Another thing I found out about their honesty: I asked them to do 4 oil changes for my Infiniti QX60: transmission, front differential, rear differential and transfer case fluid, because that's what my dealership were trying to charge me for. But when I got the bill from Quick Boys, there were only 3 items. I originally thought they missed one, but after some research on reddit and Infiniti forum, I realized the front differential and transmission for this car actually share the same oil. So the dealer was trying to charge me for something they won't even need to do! Called before I came, customer service was very helpful and friendly. Told me there was no line and they could get me in and out in no time. Arrived at the spot and it was a drive thru oil change. I didn't need to exit the vehicle. Upon my arrival I was greeted, asked what I needed filled out some paperwork and before I was finished signing paperwork, my oil was drained, and filter was changed. My windshields front and back were cleaned(courtesy from quick boys) I was in and out within 10 mins. Price was very reasonable. I called a number of businesses for an oil change. The manager answered the phone and was very personable. He informed me of the specials they were offering and did not need a coupon (that was great!) I was in and out within 10 minutes. BTW, they had the best prices and were very fast. They also looked at my brakes. They placed the idiot sticker on my window (which I always request, but usually While I was waiting they also offer tea, coffee and water as well as snacks. My car was in dire need of an oil change because I had been driving longer distances of late. Monday (3/20/23) was the only day I was able to take some time off to get it done but, the 2 usual places where I go were booked for the entire day. I had at one time gotten an oil change at Meineke (the former business now occupied by Quick Boys) and even though I wasn't too impressed with their services or prices, I was going to bite the bullet and get it done anyway. To my surprise, Quick Boys was the business I found in Meineke's place. And what a pleasant surprise Quick Boys turned out to be! The manager, Harris was courteous and provided excellent customer service. He informed me of the many services they provided and was thorough in explaining the service I chose for my car. My oil change was indeed Quick and the service technician was also courteous and polite. He patiently explained the completed service done to my car before returning my car to me. My car is running smoothly once again and ready for the many long distance drives I have ahead. The customer service alone has made me decide that Quick Boys will be the first place I think of when needing an oil change. "SUE ME" "DEMANDAME" I was driving on albrae street and noticed a new car shop that had a banner for AC SERVICE amongst other services, i decided to go in and ask if they even had refrigerant 1234yf since ive had trouble finding a shop that recharged that particular freon. The floor supervisor said they did, i told him i didnt know if the truck had a leak inwhich he assured me that the machine detects the leaks and wont allow a freon recharge if a leak was detected.. minutes later the supervisor returned with the good news that no leak was detected so it can be recharged. Since its a hefty price i asked him what if it leaks again is there a warranty and he assured me that if it leaked out theres a refill warranty.. i was extremely happy with the service but 5-6 days later my trucks AC wasnt blowing cold air anymore.. due to my busy schedule i didnt rush over there and in all honesty i wasnt worried since the customer service was GREAT.. couple weeks later my work fleet vehicle needed an oil change so i took it there to get serviced and to bring up the AC issue.. they serviced the fleet van with great service and pointed out the need for new brakes inwhich i asked for a written quote so i can present to the office (which was approved and was waiting for a slow day to return to get it done). I brought up the AC issue and they told me to bring it back and itll get recharged and the same supervisor recommended ABC auto in the same lot in case ac repairs need to be done.. me having no knowledge about these things figured they can repair it and quick boys will recharge it.. ABC was booked for a week so i went to another shop who was going to charge me for the freon and the repair.. before commiting I called quick boys and talked to the supervisor and explained my situation of paying twice to two different shops to fix this and asked if maybe quick boys can detect the leak with dye, but he said they dont have dye nor the black light to see the dye.. i offered to buy them and take it to them and he said that if i did that they can definitely do it.. once i got there with the dye and light and glasses which I purchased at oreilly, it turned out that another kit was needed and they didnt have it so they couldnt install the dye to locate the leak.. he then explained that they dont do repsirs there but that he is pretty sure its just the caps on the nozzle and if we just recharge it everything should work fine.. i was confused about that so i wanted clarification that if in the case that it leaked out again, they wont repair it nor recharge again inwhich he said NO.. i then told him i feel its unfair that if he couldnt gaurantee that there was no leak, in a week ill be out of freon and lose the amount i paid which was 350+ and go to another shop thats going to charge the same for the freon plus the repair cost.. I explained to him that if he had told me that their was still a possibility of a leak, i wouldnt have got the service done, i was under the impression that there was for sure no leaks since that what i was led to believe.. his response to this was "Demandame" which in spanish is "sue me". I was surprised he said that considering i was never disrespectful to him or his assistant.. by the way it seemed like the assistant was surprised aswell.. this was unprofessional and im not doing business with someone that responded as he did.. at this point i just want to get my money back since i have to take it to another shop. but if the attitude displayed today reflects this business i will probably have to pursue another path to achieve it read more

Needed to get my brakes changed and saw this place close by. The service was amazing and they even did a walkthrough with me with my car. They also did a breakdown of costs it was to replace both my rotors and brakes and were very transparent in what I was paying for. The owner was rude and just said look at the receipt.. Pretty much a bait and switch to make a dollar.. The car is a 1998 and who needs a 93.00 oil change.. They did no extra work..
