I came to Cosmic Automotive a year ago to get my transmission fluid changed. I found this business through Yelp and took a chance with them because of their stellar reviews. I got my vehicle in and out without any trouble. Their prices seem fair. Jesse was the one that I spoke to and at the end of the service, he told me that they had checked my break fluid for me (without me needing to ask) and recommended that I come back in a year to get it flushed out since it was still good at the time he checked it. Fast forward a year, I came in and spoke to Jesse again and asked if he could check my brake fluid to see if it needed changing. He kindly did so and was honest with me and told me that my brake fluid was still good and did not need changing and that I could probably push the service a little longer. Keep in mind, this second time I came in I had no other services done. Their honesty and fair prices have definitely converted me into a regular customer. I will be bringing my vehicle here for my maintenance oil changes because their prices are better than the previous place I was going to. read more

Where do I begin. I have a bmw that had oil change done at another shop in Fremont and right after that car started acting weird, they try to figure out what was going on with the car but they couldn't. Then they suggested I check with Jesse from cosmic automotive. They had my car towed to cosmic auto. They spent some time and found out the issue was just with oil filter adapter. The car was fixed right after changing the oil filter. Since then they became my main spot to go to. Also their shop is very clean and neat. I came in today for wheel alignment and when Jesse saw my car he said it might be too low for the ramp and might damage my side rocker panel. I replied that Fremont alignment works on my Lexus RCF which is more lowered than this and they never have a problem at all. Jesse said they all use the same equipment so he would like to try, I said ok let's do it. When he got it up on the ramp, everything is fine but since my car is lowered by half inch at front and 1 inch on the rear, he said he has to charge me extra $40. I declined and told him I'll just go to Fremont alignment next to their shop instead. Fremont alignment only charges extra if you're asking for custom alignment and doesn't charge extra for OEM specs. As soon as he pulled out my car, the piece of my side rocker lip went flying. He just said sorry that's all! Just wanted to post this for everyone's awareness. If your car is lowered even for a little drop like mine, save yourself some time and headache and go to Fremont alignment instead. Called Cosmic Automotive to inquire about a smog check for my car (2015 Yaris), and was told it would be $50 for the check and $8 for the certificate. He also let me know I could do a walk-in whenever needed. So on Thursday after a short day at work, I stopped by around 12:30pm. The guy was not super busy and was able to take my car in and finish the check before 1pm. Additionally, at that time they were doing a promotion where you can get a smog check for $39 if you check in on Yelp - so total was $39+$8=$47. Fast and great. Would come again. read more

The price is crazy here. And they try to change all parts instead fixing it. A small spark issue they change the whole module and cost me almost $1300. Never go again I was asking him to give me the detail diagnose report, and he said it will just be one line, 'your module is broken'. I was like what the fxxk?? He can't even provide the part's detail name. read more

I had service with this place about 7 years ago and they did a good job to fix my water pump at 7 years ago. They did a great job at 7 years ago but my car was put at that facility for alomet 7 days . So, i I kind of stop using them (my car was ketp at that facility too long , I think). Indeed, they did a great wok that time but I didn't come back beacaue my car was kept too long at that facility (for 7 days) at 7 years ago. Just today, I changed oil and did a maintance at this facilty again. It was quick and did a great job within 1 hour to complete. Also, I found out this facilty is epaned and mor technician at this facility. Indeed, they already did a great job at 7 years ago and I didn't come back simply because I wait too long to take back my car (7 days) at 7 years ago.. Now, this place is bigger and with more technician. They are really good. Even at 7 years ago, they are very good alos but only waiting time was too long at 7 years ago. This is one of the most FAIR and HONEST automotive shops I've been to and it's all thanks to the owner Jesse! SERVICE - I come when they open with no appt and an oil change was done in 30 mins, changing turn signal bulb was done in 10 mins. The quickest services I've ever received at an auto shop! PRICES - I got an oil change earlier this year with full synthetic blend and was charged less than other places (can't remember the exact price but it was very fair and reasonable) - $15 for a turn signal bulb change PROS You don't feel ripped off here which is the case at lots of auto shops. No pressure to buy things or get extra work done that you didn't originally ask for. A little bonus for me is there's no mansplaining going on here!! Manny and Jesse are such straight shooters - they're so honest and don't do work just for the sake of doing work and charging you more. They also get things done quickly and for our brake pad replacement, cost us less than half of what the dealer would have charged. They're also so kind - they offered to stay open for us to pick up the car if we were running late after work and couldn't make it there by 6.
