I have never dealt with an auto shop that is so honest. My son was learning driving and ran over a curb. Loud noise right away and was expecting to be a costly repair. Brought it to Kenny and nervously waiting for his call. Surprisingly and luckily it was the bended cat shield pressing against the converter. At the end, Kenny only charged me $200+ for unbending my cat shield and alignment to make sure nothing wrong with the axles. I have to thank you my friend to recommend Kenny to me. The auto close/open mechanism on a side window no longer worked. The window was in the open position and Fremont was having intermittent rain. I have found my new go-to auto repairs shop now! Kenny's is run by Ken the owner along with a great crew of technicians that know cars of many makes and models. He worked on my 2010 Infiniti G37 which I have had since 2011 starting at 10K. Great car to start with but with regular maintenance it's been a very reliable car. So I took it to Ken to have the rear brakes evaluated and ended up like we hoped. Only needed new brake pads for which we had preordered the OEM parts for the job. He made sure to fit them in such a way so they would last a long time. He explained it but I fidget now all the details. Also got an oil change at the same time. All went seamlessly and I was on the road earlier than he had said which was a real plus! He knows his stuff and is very reasonable on the pricing of his work. You won't be disappointed. My Toyota just got repaired at Kenny's, and I am very happy with the experience. Before I went to Kenny's, I took my car to another auto repair shop to change my brake pad (big mistake), and after the repair, my car started to have metal noise whenever I step on the brake. I suspected the noise was related to the repair, but the other auto shop inspected my car and suggested something else was wrong, and asked me to pay $$$$ to change other parts. ( will never go back to that auto shop again) Then I took my car to Kenny's. Ken diagnosed my car's problem quickly, and it is related to the lousy job the previous auto shop did while changing the brake, and told me I don't need to change the "other parts" because they are just fine, and he charged a very reasonable price for the repair he did. My car's noise is gone. Ken is very honest on what needs to be repaired, and what is unnecessary. He is very knowledgeable on car repair, as the noise is a difficult symptom to diagnose, I was fully expecting to leave my car in the auto shop for several days while waiting for new parts, and was surprised to know my car was fixed on the same day, with no new parts needed. Needed a place to take my Honda Accord to get serviced. Have had my Accord for 7 years and was still taking it to the dealership to get serviced. I know I was getting ripped off, but wasn't sure who to trust with my car. Finally, I decided it was time to try somewhere else. Found this place in the yellow pages and looked it up on line and saw that it got a couple of favorable reviews on other sites. Went today to get my back brake pads and rotors changed. The place is basically a garage, nothing fancy, but Kenny, the owner, was GREAT! Really felt comfortable with him because he took the time to explain what needed to be done with car. Didn't feel any pressure to get it done if I didn't want to. Liked that I got some education on my car. He finished the work in half a day and gave me a call to pick up. When I picked up my car, he showed me my used parts and pointed out what the issue was. I really liked that he took the time to explain things. Just good vibes all around. The price was pretty reasonable too. I had done some comparison shopping, not the cheapest, but definitely not the most expensive. No squeaky brakes anymore! Update: Kenny does do tire rotations. I made an appointment and took my car in for Kenny to check out on Saturday. The weekend before I had taken my car to Wheel Works for a tire rotation and they recommended $1800 worth of service for my car, which was completely insane! Kenny checked out my car and took me into the shop so I could see under my car. He showed me exactly where the problem areas are on my car and explained to me that the only thing that need to be replaced was my front brake pads and that he would apply some stop leak for my steering assembly. How many mechanics do you know would do that? He saved me $1600 in unnecessary repairs. He's a very honest mechanic, and we all know how hard they are to find. His shop is accredited by the Better Business Bureau, so you can have confidence you are getting the best service when you bring your car in. read more

My heart broke when I knew my brakes had to be worked. I don't have the damn money for that. Are there any honest mechanics left in the world? Yes!! Kenny. I can't post prices but I can give you an idea. I have a Honda Odyssey and brakes on these things is no joke. I take it to a place like Midas and I'm looking at 300.00 average cost per set of brakes. Have you ever spoken to a mechanic and it's like they talk but at that invisible person behind you? Yeah. That's annoying. Kenny explains everything and waits for your ok. He even helps save you money. He told me all I needed were brakes done. He actually said don't waste your money on other services. I had asked for other services since I was there. When I picked up the car he came out with the old parts and showed them to me and explained them. He also showed me services he did for FREE. He does own a small garage so he's limited to the kind of cars he can work on. No hybrids. Sorry. But those he can work on he's great at it. He worked on my father's Honda Civic. That's a piece of... Kenny is very honest and trust worthy person, he never over-charges or recommend un-needed service, his charge may not cheapest in the area, but when it comes to car service/repair, I think finding a capable and honest shop is the most important. When I lived in east bay, I always took my car there for maintenance. After I moved to peninsular area, I still came back sometimes. There is one time that he did not tight my oil cap properly after oil change, but when I took it back, he immediately acknowledged that and fix it for me. read more

We've been taking our cars to Kenny for all our repairs. We've had our share of getting 'ripped' from other folks (notably the auto strip mall down Albrae Street) but when I saw Kenny's small sign poking out, I walked in to get a oil-change. Kenny was fast, upfront, and assuring about not overcharging. Since then, he's been great! Only once had we a major repair replacing the radiator, and he was good to get the best value for the parts and labor. I'm a penny pincher. I was even more impressed when the glove box was broken and he went out of he way to fix it without charge! I am a firm believer of 'you get what you pay for' and I gotten a great value out of his service. That said, shop around if your looking for cutting corners. The positive reviews below are very true. Kenny is very knowledgeable, friendly and thorough in his explanations. He explains exactly what type of work needs to be done and avoids unnecessary repairs. I recently towed my car to his shop after it died on the freeway. Kenny showed me exactly what was wrong with the distributor housing and replaced it at a low cost, keeping the bill simple and waiving the diagnostic fee. This normally would have cost far more at other shops. Kenny also has a very strong understanding of Hondas. Previous mechanics replaced my driver side window twice because it kept getting stuck. Kenny explained this was actually due to the window regulator's adjustment, and he fixed it at a very low price. His customer service is wonderful. He fixed my windshield fluid hose for free, and he gave me extremely useful tips for maintaining my old car after inspecting it, again at no cost. My Honda CRV was broken for the 3 time in a row, after being repair by other garages. I desperately towed the car to Kenny, thank you for my mom's friend Wendy recommendation who has been using Kenny for more than 10 years. Kenny checked and found the problem code, and he said the part was very old need to be replaced. He can replace it if I like, but he said I am better of in sending it back to the garage did the repair. Since the other garage charged me a lot for the repair, they missed this part and almost caused a big accident and this garage should replace this part for reduced rate. He only charged me about $100 for a full inspection and identification of the root issue. He is authorized honda repairer and very knowledgeable, honest, detail oriented and very considerate of customer's best interest. The wife's got a really bad attitude! If you don't have an appointment then she really gives you bad manner. We took our chance to stop by and asked nicely if we can get oil change and we know we would have to wait if there's no appointment, however even when we asked, she was still rude! We came here before with appointment, last time when our car's battery died, they told us to purchase another new battery and then within few days our car's battery died again, it turned out it was not the battery's problem, it was due to other parts. My girlfriend recommended Kenny to me a couple years ago because her family appreciated his honesty and always had good experiences with his work. My experience has been the same -- Kenny is a very honest, knowledgeable mechanic. On several occasions, Kenny was the only mechanic to tell me the truth about my car. In one instance, other shops told me I needed a new clutch and several other expensive repairs that would cost over $700. Kenny adjusted a few things for me and told me my clutch would last about one more year. He was right, and my total bill was under $100. Overall, Kenny's prices are very reasonable and the amount of money you save by never getting ripped off more than eliminates the need to shop around. In my experience, finding an auto mechanic you can trust is like finding a dentist you can trust -- once you find one, you continue to see them regardless of inconvenience. I've been going to Kenny auto repair for 15 years. My Honda Crosstour was vibrating when brake. The tire place I took it for balance/rotation told me I needed new rotors. That I should have the brakes replace too while they have the rotors out. Cost for repair was to be $359. I took my car to Kenny for a second opinion. My stories: I have been "inheriting" old Hondas from my family for my kids. My dad gave my son a 1993 Honda Accord... Ken fixed it up and we used it for 9 years and 60K miles! My sister gave my daughter a 1994 Honda Accord... Ken recently fixed the bad ignition switch issue. Ken also takes care of our 1998 Camry and 2007 Odyssey. The 1998 Camry had a very problematic smog issue... He spent a lot of time debugging it and we were able to finally passed the smog test.
