Service here really depends. This Quick Chek offers the basic convenience store needs with an attached liquor store that has its own hours. I come here when I know it is not busy - meaning I avoid lunch or around the time school is over! At the non-busy hours, I can pickup something quickly before heading to college or work. There are some good, cheap promotions that aren't too bad. Ice coffees are 99 cents no matter the size. Also, you can order two empanadas with a 20-ounce drink for only $4. Sometimes the deli area gets the order fine and it's all good. But sometimes, the store is packed or its someone new at the deli and your order just looks like a bunch of ingredients thrown together. I've gone a few times during lunch and it seems like a packed mosh-pit of hungry people. Unfortunately, the many staring eyes on those working the deli may put them under pressure and make them mess-up the order. However, those problems continually add-up. There are usually two people who work the deli, but once someone orders a drink, one of those people have to stop what they're making to make the drink. And while all this is happening, a coffee machine may run low - and make a loud alarm noise. Or something may spill and the floor goes unclean. Nice place connected to a liquor store in a small strip along Valley Road. They have the usual convenience store items and an assortment of grab and go items. Its attached to a liquor store that has lottery so its even more convenient if your looking for adult beverages and snacks. The parking lot has a lot of garbage cans and signs about littering. I thought this was nice since it is located in a residential area and they obviously are concerned about being good neighbors. read more

I was in here briefly last summer. The floors were very sticky. They were out of iced coffee and didn't refill when I pointed this out. Noticed that a police car drove through the parking lot more than once, which is good or bad depending on your perspective. read more

The lady they have behind the counter making the food at night is ridiculously slow. If anyone else makes the food they give you a good amount, she does the bare minimum and has even forgotten to add toppings or leave out entire ingredients. Have had a good time here with my son after scouts. The soups are always great. And the sandwiches always surprise me at how good they are. Two screens for faster service. Good drink selection. And lots of candy! I'm sure I've waited in line more than I've had to but am I going to give them less stars because of that. No i won't do that. Most people want to run in and get a cup of Quik Chek coffee , right??? Think again. MOST Sunday mornings, I go in only to find MOST coffee urns empty. And the noise, the music is frequently so loud , you can't carry on a conversation in a normal voice. Coffee area with the cups, milk, sugar, etc, usually FILTHY. Complained to area rep, Ms. Sachtlaben, to no avail. Guess they don't care about their customers. Sandwiches????? FORGET IT!!!!!!!!!!! Not much meat, plenty of lettuce . And the 6" subs??? NOT EVEN CLOSE, they are usually shorter, Quik Chek NEEDS to be sued like Subway was. The final insult ?????? Went there one morning to get a cup of coffee on the way to work. Walked in and what was there???? A pair of jeans lying on the floor, with the underwear, FULL OF FECES!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mentioned this to the female cashier, she didn't want to know about it. I asked if management was aware of the safety issue, she mumbled something. I got to work and called the Clifton Police about a LEVEL 3 bio-hazard at the store. Don't know if they responded. Highest traffic store--so no management--long lines in morning always out of coffee--god forbid you ask them to fill one of the 8 urns trying to make it to work you get sneers--the sandwich board on weekends--does not take a brain surgeon to make one sandwich at a time instead of two brain surgeons trying to make 4 at a time cause knee deep in customers making mistakes people coming back and cold sandwiches never mind took me 45 minutes to get out of there for one hero--as she swore at me in Spanish--as 3 other employees walk around and talk on floor instead of giving a hand in 3 deep sandwich board --see that's the thing with this place they do high traffic cause of area its been mismanaged--problem is people that have offices in the area need to go to work and can not stand knee deep in a line with one register open at peek morning area etc and regulars with us that do not like to be sworn at by an employee in Spanish or sit at Sandwich counter for eons ----what ever happened top proper customer edict and management???
