The food is very casual, e.g. take-out style, and the portions are not very big. By the time you order a meal, if you want to add an appetizer or a dessert, Quik Chick is expensive, and you are really paying restaurant prices. That just doesn't sit right with me...not when I'm just trying to get some takeout or a quick dine-in meal in a plain mall-like setting with no ambiance. But despite it being on my list and the fact that I drive by the Sporting Hill Rd / Carlisle Pike intersection so frequently, I have never been visually reminded of it. It's all because the signage is so inconspicuous, a marketing failure in my opinion. Today I placed an order over the phone for a Chicken Shawarma Platter Middle Eastern Style ($10.99) and an order of Grape Leaves ($5.49 for 6 pieces). I was pleasantly surprised that the menu prices stay the same as the photo of the menu I found from 2020. I was told the order would take 20 minutes due to staff shortage. That's perfectly reasonable for my pickup, but if you're eating in and have a 1 pm meeting, then it would be tight. So ordering ahead would be advised. The platter didn't come as I had expected. I'm used to shawarma on rice, over salad, or in a pita; but this one came in like 2 cut-up egg rolls. But I suppose this is "Middle Eastern Style". It came with French fries, some sliced tomatoes, bell pepper, and pickles, along with dipping sauce which is super garlicky. This didn't look a lot but it was filling. The Grape Leaves were like the Chinese lotus leave-wrapped gluttonous rice. It was the first time I tried it. They are tastier than they looked. The interior is clean, current, and pleasant. This is some of the best Mediterranean/middle eastern food I've ever had. We had falafels with hummus, a mixed plate of beef kofta and chicken with rice and baba ganoush and the special. It was so much food that we got to take it home to eat tomorrow. While we were talking we said we hadn't been to one of the restaurants before so they brought us little samples of the baba ganoush, hummus, tzatziki salad and Tabbouleh. All of the food and dips were made from scratch and it was so good it made me want to hug them. The owners are also the friendliest people, they insisted I just sit down and let them bring stuff out since I was on crutches. They've also got like 4-5 types of baklava that I can't have (allergies) but look fantastic. 10/10 do recommend this is definitely one of my new favorite places I cannot say enough good things about it. read more

We tried this place at the recommendation of friends and I am SO glad we did! We arrived around 6:15 or so on a Friday night. There were several other groups of customers and the place smells amazing. We out in our order to go and was told it would be about 15-20 minutes. No problem! I got the chicken shish tawooq with the tabbuloueh and hummus with naan sides with rice and my husband got the beef Shawarma middle eastern platter and we got a side of stuffed grape leaves. First of all, this is SO MUCH FOOD for the price! Everything was SOOOOO good. The shawarma came with pickled veggies and fries which we were not expecting but we're AMAZING. The owner (older gentleman) was so attentive/friendly, answered all our questions and also helped me as I wanted an entree but also wanted the falafel, he suggested to get the appetizer and the entree would be too much food for me and that the falafel was better to eat fresh. So he advised I could add as many falafel on the side with my entree. I loved it, not many places will be this honest and willing to adjust your order. I had the beef shawarma w/ 2 falafels on the side and fattoush salad and babagannouge. Really wanted all 4 dishes I sampled but picked 2 after debating for a couple minutes haha Loved the malt drink (pomegranate). I ordered the exact same thing because it was so good. My son got the kufta kebab with fries. My husband got the lamb kabob with rice and middle eastern salad. My daughter got the chicken shish tawook with hummus and tabouleh. Hummus Beiruty on the side. Today my husband and I both got shawarma bowls. Plus, an order of Hummus Beiruty. The hummus came out first and it was fabulous. As the usual, everything tasted sooooo good. The beef is perfectly spiced. The lamb is so tender it's unreal. The chicken is tasty. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. It is the only restaurant menu in my car. They are a 30 minute round trip from my house (on a good day) and worth every penny of the drive. I've been very pleased to find this restaurant. I've been there a couple of times and have loved all of the food. Abdulla takes care of customers and the place is clean. It's all great food. Yes!!!! Finally got a real Kabob / Schwarma specialty place on the West shore. This is great food. Everything is fresh, everything made with passion and love. The kabob meats are perfect, exactly what you'd want. Their sauces and salads are excellent, and the rice is really good. The best part about this place is the owner and staff. They are so nice and helpful. They really care about their business and their reputation and take pride in their food. They are Palestinian and from Jerusalem, which is amazing in of itself - such history and tradition. I arrived at this new-ish restaurant sometime around 11 o'clock in the morning on a Monday. It is located in the space that was formerly Which Wich, and the interior looks much the same. It was very clean inside and everyone was wearing face coverings.I was greeted by a friendly man, and I let him know that I was visiting for the first time. He graciously offered me four samples of the appetizers from the menu. While I sat and tasted the appetizers, I contemplated about what I would be getting for lunch. The appetizers were so tasty, so I decided to get three entrées and two appetizers to take home to my family for the next couple of meals. First, I had the lamb kebab entrée. That was literally the most tender lamb I have ever eaten. Not a single spot of gristle to be found. It also came with two sides. I had the hummus and tahini salad I think. Both were delicious, especially the savory sauce on the salad. It also came wrapped in a delicious fresh pita. You were given the choice of whether you would like rice or french fries, I chose french fries for my kids. I wish I had gotten the rice for authenticity. The other two entrées were a falafel entrée and a chicken shish kebab entrée. The chicken was spiced perfectly, full of flavor, and very tender. The falafel was a beautiful shade of green inside, and filled with flavors of herbs. Nice and crunchy on the outside when I reheated it in my toaster oven. I also enjoyed the tabouli salad and the baba ghanouj. The baba ghanouj was smoky and perfectly creamy with a lovely olive oil dressing on top. It won't take long for this place to become a locals favorite. The prices are reasonable, the portions were huge, and my food was ready in about 15 minutes, and prepared with love by three folks working in the restaurant. Can't wait to return. read more

Great fresh food by great people! I'm so happy we found this place. I grew up eating Middle eastern food, and I even make some at home. We had a shawarma bowl with beef, tahini salad and fattoush, and a falafel platter with hummus and babagannouge. It was all so so good. The babagannouge is the best I've had since I was a kid. Food is fresh. The salads and sides are made fresh daily. The portions are good size. I usually have either the lamb kabob or mixed grill kabob that comes with either fries or rice and two sides. For the two sides I usually get the fatoush salad and either the babaganoush or hummus. I haven't tried any other sides but I am sure they are good. I also had one of their specials which was called a "shawafel" wrap which is a cross between a chicken shawarma and falafel wrap. It was fantastic and I have ordered it a few times.
