Ukrainian Stew and Almond Crusted Sea Bass

We went 2/13. The restaurant is a renovated home and it was very lovely. The staff were kind and attentive. The food was crazy overpriced, did not taste good and the portions were small. I ordered the Almond Crusted Sea Bass ($53) - small plate of food. Everything had a plastic after taste, like it was a prepackaged meal that was thawed out. The quinoa was hard and flavorless. My husband ordered the Ukrainian Stew ($43). That dish was better than the sea bass. Good flavor and better portioned but not a lot of food for the price. We were still hungry when we left because I didn't like my dish and my husband had a small bowl of stew.

My meal at Tatiana's was fantastic!! I was greeted by a friendly hostess who gave me the option of dining inside or outside. I chose outside as it was a beautiful night and they have a lovely outdoor patio. The food was delicious! This was my first time having Ukrainian food and wow- delicious. I started with the soup- and it was amazing, like nothing I have had before. Then I had the signature chicken which was also fantastic. And beautifully plated! I finished with a rich dark chocolate cake and some amazing pistachio ice cream. My meal was great- the staff were lovely and the ambiance was unbeatable!

Fresh, delicious food. Fine cuisine. Well presented, nice ambiance. We were served by the owner who takes great pride in Tatiana. Well recommended.

Lamb shank. Forget the knife. Only a fork is needed.

Tatiana herself comes out and explains the menu and takes your order. Her husband is the artist in the kitchen who makes their amazing menu come to life. They don't serve wine, so I recommend picking up a nice bottle and bringing it. Tatiana will offer wine glasses and a bottle opener. I had the lamb shank and Mediterranean salad. No knife needed. Just use your fork.

I was visiting from out of town and I wanted a hearty but healthy meal, there weren't a lot of options until I came across Tatiana's restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious!! I was seated on the back deck, and even though I was sitting outside the staff was extremely attentive and checked on me often. I ordered the pork shank, which came with a lovely beet soup, and I couldn't leave without a delicious sorbet dessert. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a delicious meal that feels like someone generously invited you into their home.

Great food. Terrific service. Unlike any other restaurant around. An intimate dining experience. It is pricey but worth it!

This place is phenomenal, I'll just say that. The owner is VERY persuasive - make sure to plan to pay. This is a splurge meal, they have a lot of great options, all very unique for the area, and she'll talk you into trying everything! We started with the meatballs which were so great. The soup (cabbage and beet) is so flavorful and delicious. I got the tortellini and the sauce was so robust and tasty! Even the desserts were great. I did not have anything I didn't like. We will absolutely be back, this will have to be a stop every time I'm in town. So good!

Special of the night with three meats. Fantastic dish!

We dined at Tatiana's as a party of four. We were seated on the first floor near the fireplace. The interior is warm & inviting. Tatiana was our server and she was informative, kind and very accommodating to our group. I love that it's an upscale restaurant but, as byob, we were able to bring wines of our choosing. My husband and I started with the Maryland blue crab & mushrooms. It was a generous portion of crab and the Asiago sauce was rich and flavorful. All dinners came with a bowl of soup, which was warm, earthy and comforting. I was going to order the salmon romesco from the regular menu, but Tatiana let me know about a special that evening that was similar. The special had rice instead of quinoa and an addition of crab cake and grilled shrimp. Naturally, I went for the one with more seafood and I'm glad I did. It had a lot of nice flavors--kind of a little middle eastern flavor hidden in there--and it was a great value. The crab cake was small and a little too salty. The shrimp was literally one grilled shrimp placed atop the salmon. Overall, still a solid dish and cooked well. I appreciated that she gave prices on each "special" so you knew what you were getting into pricewise. I got the Ukranian fruit iced tea and was pleasantly surprised by the delicate floral notes and bright fruit flavors. Both couples shared a dessert each and we all enjoyed our choices. The chef/owner, Ash, came to our table a few times and asked how we liked the dishes. It is always a treat to be able to bestow praise in-person to the chef.

Service was kind of bad. It was mother's day. They weren't busy and the staff was very inattentive.

We got a medium Falafel sandwich and a Shawarma sandwich. Wow. Delicious. I actually may have liked the Falafel just slightly better but both were excellent. I also got an extra garlic sauce on the side... just love. Until next time.

It's a small mart that specializes in middle eastern Mediterranean cuisine and ingredients. They place does not have seating inside, but plenty of seating outside. So plan on either take out or picnicking. They make the food right as you order so things are fresh. The part I really liked about this place was that the sauces were not overly salted - to increase shelf life - and the amount of oil/butter was not overly used to try to mask the ingredients. It's more on the "let the ingredients speak for itself" which I really dig. In the end, you don't feel heavy after the meal and you feel like you had a hearty and healthy meal. My favorite was the lamb shawarma. He toasts the outside pita and it gives it a nice crunch. The lamb is fresher than other places and he doesn't over season it to hide the lamb smell. Other places - if you notice - tends to use cumin a lot of mask the lamb smell. Not here though. The falafel sandwich was okay. It was colder than the lamb shawarma. But the falafels were made right there in front of you. I got the sujuk sandwich too (which is a type of sausage). It was a breakfast burrito basically. Our order took 20 mins to make and he makes it right when you order. So be prepared to stay there and peruse around. Some ingredients there were interesting. The one thing that caught my eye was a bottle of pomegranate molasses. He sells it close to 50% what Harris Teeter would charge and he has various brands of pomegranate molasses. I use pomegranate molasses to make grenadine for cocktails. Also has orange blossom and rose water (also both used for cocktails) I like this place and the guy is nice and sweet.
