Went to Cedars last night after a long absence. We didn't know the restaurant had changed owners. The food was AMAZING!! We tried 7 different dishes and 3 desserts, and each one was incredibly flavorful & cooked to perfection. The spice level was just right. We highly recommend the shish tawook, labneh, baba ganoush (best we've ever had), falafel, shish kebab wrap, sanbusik, and fattoush. We got the desserts to go & haven't tried them yet, but they look delectable. We loved Cedars before, but the food is even better now! Mike (the owner) is so cool & welcoming! The new ownership has made this restaurant absolutely amazing! In the past- we had an issue with the older owner literally yelling at us because he couldn't find our doordash order- he was a very unpleasant man. The new owner, Mike, was very kind and personally made sure we were satisfied with our food which we absolutely were. If I could give this place 10 stars I would! The food was even better than before with flavors that are more pronounced and the dessert was just unreal with huge portions. Our waiter, Lance, was also amazing! Very sweet guy who took the time to give us recommendations and just overall great personality and service. I hope they are able to take this place and make it into something wonderful and full every night because they deserve it. This is my third visit to Cedars. This time around we ordered, spinach pies, chicken gyro, fatoush salad, lamb dinner, falafel appetizer and soujak wrap. The service was attentive per usual. It still looks and smells clean. Great lunch place! All was delicious but the fatoush salad lacked some ingredients. I've had this salad in Malvern, PA and theirs is so amazing! The falafel was too mushy. I'm used to it having more of a denser grainy chickpea consistency and flavor. While it still has good flavor it just wasn't what I'm accustomed to have in a falafel. The first thing I want to say is that if you are driving to the location parking is at the rear of establishment (limited parking) or park on the street. The service was quick, professional and pleasant another perk that the server was very attentive. The hummus was good but the pita bread seemed hard slightly tough to chew. However, what made up for that was the delicious meal Shish Tawook (must try) with the garlic aioli (delish). I do recommend that you stop-in try for yourself because you will enjoy the entree (main course). The decor of the restaurant went well with Lebanese tradition. Lebanese food is our absolute favorite, but there aren't many restaurants that we rave about. Usually the food is good but not backflip worthy. Cedars Restaurant is one of the exceptions. The belly dancer we saw was very talented, she even danced with fire. Food wise, I've had the Shish Tawook (chicken) twice. It was consistent, and I liked that the rice has vermicelli in it. Visited the newly reopened Cedars today. Oh, gosh, even yummiest than before. The baba ganoush, nice and smokey. Hummus, good. Fava beans, more fresh and side salad like than just spicy stewed beans I was expecting. Homemade grape leaves and karnabeet rounded out my mezza. Friend had the shrimp kabob, twelve huge shrimp, loads of veggies and rice. Server was pleasant, cook stopped by to check on us. Very lovely. They no longer allow BYOB, just so you know. But wow!!! Maxine and her mother are extremely kind and hospitable. And no matter the occasion (family dinner, date, special occasion, or casual meal), you'll feel like you're in the right place. The food is AMAZING!. Everything was made to perfection, super juicy and delicious! The falafel was extremely delicious and they could be a meal by themselves...almost meaty. The salad was delicious. I attempted to order from these guys through Uber Eats. I made two attempts both orders were canceled with no explanation given. Obviously I am annoyed by this. Just made a reservation for 11 people at this restaurant and was yelled at by this disgraceful owner for bringing chicken nuggets for my daughter who does not eat anything on the menu! Classy! The best part about it, is that we specifically spoke to the restaurant while making the reservation about brining chicken for our daughter. When we got there however, we were rudely told that we couldn't come in here with that. When we reminded them about the conversation, the female manager told me that only her and the owner answer the phones and they did not say this. But they most certainly did. I heard the owner in the back yelling at the manager 'absolutely not...it's a liability', and saying this over and over again. That doesn't even make any sense. We tried talking to them about it, but the manager just kept saying that they are the only two to answer the phone. Okay, so I guess we were making up this conversation?!?! I asked the manager no less than 6 times if I could speak with the owner and was ignored. I went back to speak to the owner and was immediately yelled out and he was screaming at me to leave. We drove 45 minutes out of our way, made reservations for this place, and again, specifically spoke with them about the chicken we were bringing for the kids. The owner was completely disrespectful to me and my family and kicked us out. Really disgusting behavior by this already lowly rated restaurant. Low class. Do not eat here! read more

Cedar's must be your go to spot, if you are looking for Lebanese food in Camp Hill/Mechanicsburg/Harrisburg. They are now under a new management per the banner outside. This definitely shows, as I felt the service was slow. There was only one person who was taking the orders and serving, which resulted in slow service overall. Being vegetarian, we also looked forward to having Falafels, which they were unfortunately out of by the time we went for dinner at 7 pm. Ended up having some appetizers (mezas) and dessert. My only complaint would be that the pita bread is not made in my favorite style, I prefer a softer chewier consistency and this was dry and not terribly flavorful. This restaurant is indeed one of the worst, first as a treat. When you enter the restaurant, the restaurant manager and the staff looks at you as if you are a stranger or a thief, or you want to urge free food, and when you inquire about the possibility of making a big feast and food delivery the restaurant manager promotes his restaurant that the most famous doctors here in the area order almost daily or weekly food , and I am very surprised how all these customers do not understand nor appreciate the taste of delicious food. Second, as a food, the food is very bad if I want to describe the food as a form, it is Arabic or Lebanese food, but it is not described as the taste of delicious food, as it tastes normal and less than acceptable again. As all my family did not eat the food and did not like the food at all, and for the record, this is the second time I have been to the restaurant, so that I give the restaurant a chance to evaluate, but unfortunately they still the same quality food. Also, all the college students who were with me were evaluating the restaurant the same as my opinion Regarding the restaurant manager, I did not like the way and method of dealing, as he was speaking as if he were in an auction and using his hands to distort, especially by using a finger in his mouth to wet, in order to turn the order paper, as I thought how I would eat the food that he would personally serve. I don't remember any other food I have ever had this flavorful. And we Indians do know flavors and spices. Lebanese coffee is just awesome, I would go just for it any day. My daughter had chicken falafel wrap and in her own words it was super tasty, fresh and tender. My lamb kebabs were perfectly cooked and super tasty. Baklava topped with cashews and little warmed, was to die for. The oil flavor (I don't know which one) was worth finishing each tiny piece. And before I forget hummus, I don't have even words. Food is OK. Above average I'd say. Some menu items really good, some menu items .. meh. But all in all, acceptable food. Why the 1 star rating then? By far one of the least welcoming places I have EVER been to in over 20 states and 5 countries!! My part of 8 (2 families) literally got a welcoming "eye roll" the moment we stepped into the restaurant. The lady asked us (did you make a reservation?) and we said we didn't. Apparently, this was the most offensvie thing for her. Gave an eye roll and seated us reluctantly. Important note: there was only ONE out of 1 0 tables in the restaurant with people in it. Not really sure why a reservation was sk critical. Assuming these are the house rules, if she had told us that they only took reservations, we would have simply left quietly and minded our own business. No need for the unwelcoming attitude really. The rest of the night was literally STRESSFUL! The lady + the owner of the restaurant in the kitchen obviously unpleased with our presence. Nodding heads, scoffing, and eye rolling quite often. We had our kids with us (ages 7-9). They were sitting quietly watching a movie on the iPad together not doing any trouble (even if they are, this is a restaurant over the weekend, with only 2 tables seated.if you can't stand 4 well behaved kids, you shouldn't open a restaurant). Towards the end of our night, the owner stood 6 feet away from our table STARING at our kids because, in his assessment it seems, they were not sitting like statues as they should.. when I asked him why he's staring at our kids, he rudly responded (don't you see you're asking too many questions? Lentils are cheap, onions are cheap, Rice is cheap- and the few other ingredients in this couldn't have cost more than $3. So I get that you spend time cooking but this is not an affordable lunch, nor was it satisfying. It was a decent flavor, but I could have made this on my own. This is actually my first review on yelp but I had such an authentic experience that I had to share. My friend decided on the place and as unassuming as it was coming in it was definitely a gem. Small intimate, plus outside seating. We came on a Sunday mid afternoon and only another table was there. Went to the back to grab a couple of menus and you could tell the person behind the counter was busy and multi tasking. We weren't in a rush so time wasn't a factor so our patience paid off. She came around then and took our orders, she being the owner/cook/waitress. We asked her several questions about the menu and she gave the humorous answer of everything is good but also what she would get if she was having food at home. So we had the platter of 5 tapas and when they came out... FRESHLY handmade, hot, delicious, delicately spiced, and very enjoyable. W a glass of freshly squeezed mango juice on a hot summer day! We chatted a bit and sure enough she just recently took over the restaurant and explains this mommas hustle. I wish her the best on this new venture of hers here as it's authentic charm and delicious food. Ended if all w coffee and we couldn't ask for more. Got takeout today and ordered and paid right though the Yelp app which was pretty cool. I got a lamb gyro, fries, and baklava. The gyro was wonderful. If getting take out I'd recommend getting the sauce on the side so the flatbread stays toasty but even a little soggy it was fine. The tzatziki sauce was spot on! It was creamy and cucumber-y and dropping out everywhere.. so good! The fries. Not my favorite. They were the batter dipped kind. Not my preference but not a deal breaker. The baklava was perfectly sweet and full of finely chopped pistachios which really make it for me. Service was friendly too and prompt. Haven't been here in years and I don't even know why it's just wonderful for my gyro fix. Get one. read more
