    Sweet Potato Falafel Pita

Love this place...we were there yesterday after visiting Hershey Chocolates, our daughter is here visiting from Okinawa, we all had an awesome meal. Service was fast, server was pleasant and clean and quick. We were here a while back after the opening and also had an excellent meal and service.....so nice to see how good they are doing after moving from the little place. We look forward to visiting again and again...only got a picture of what I was eating because we were so hungry! Absolutely everything on the menu must be yummy!

Headed to Hershey Park on a Friday night, I wanted real food before handing over my wallet to the world of overpriced funnel cakes and mystery chicken fingers. Less than 10 minutes from the park, I found Simply Greek -- and wow, what a win! Let's start with a few quick pro tips (because Simply Greek is popular for a reason): they don't take reservations, it's first-come first-serve, and your whole crew has to be there to get seated. Parking can be tricky -- the lot's small -- but there's street parking on Lucy Ave if you get creative. Somehow, I scored a spot right out front on a Friday night, which felt like a sign from the Greek food gods that this dinner was going to be special. I had done my research beforehand and checked out the menu... which turned out to be a terrible idea, because I wanted everything. Every. Single. Thing. We showed up around 5pm and were seated right away by a super-friendly staff that already had the good-vibes energy going. We started with the Keftedes (Greek meatballs) -- five little orbs of happiness served warm with pita and a side of tzatziki ($8.99). They were perfectly juicy, seasoned just right, and that tzatziki? Heavy on the cucumber, light on the dill -- exactly how I like it. We demolished them like pros. For the main event, my dining buddy went all-in with a Build Your Own Greek Bowl -- lamb souvlaki, rice/quinoa mix, roasted veggies, tzatziki, the works. When it hit the table, it looked like something out of a foodie magazine. The lamb was tender and packed with flavor, and every bite looked like it belonged on a postcard. He was thrilled (and nearly licked the bowl). I went classic and got the Moussaka -- eggplant, ground lamb, beef, potatoes, and béchamel sauce baked into pure comfort ($16.99). It came with a "side salad," but don't let that word fool you -- this salad had ambition. Romaine, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, olives, feta, and house dressing -- everything crisp, fresh, and intentional. I ate the whole thing before my fork even touched the main dish. And the Moussaka? Oh. My. Goodness. It was enormous, piping hot, and absolutely phenomenal. The layers were perfect, the seasoning flawless, and that béchamel sauce? Some of the best I've ever had. I couldn't finish it all, but I absolutely took home the rest for a second round! For about $50 total, we walked out totally stuffed, smiling, and already planning our next trip back. This was my first time at Simply Greek, but it definitely won't be my last. If you're headed to Hershey Park -- or anywhere near it -- skip the overpriced park food and treat yourself to Simply Greek instead. You'll thank me later.

I got the gyro bowl and it was AMAZING! Great portions and for the price you can't beat it! The food was super fresh and I didn't feel bloated afterwards! Our waitress was super nice and funny and made us and the kids feel welcome! The service was great and the inside was super homey! We will definitely be back when we are in the area!

This highly raved Greek join was originally delivery only and it wasn't until 2020 that it started the dine-in option. Then obvious due to its success, it moved to the current location for the larger space. The interior decor and vibe are pleasant and inviting. The menu is organized and easy to navigate. Items are fairly priced and affordable. As you enter, you see a big station with cashier counters on both ends, and the desserts proudly displayed in the middle. To the right is the dine-in area, and to the left for the takeout. We had the Lamb Souvlaki Pita ($12) and Pork Souvlaki Bowl ($12) which came with cut-up pita bread on the side. Both were fantastic as I had wished. We're definitely stopping by again next time we're in Hershey.

Oh I finished that off too!

We missed our turn when trying to turn in from the west. We persevered and are glad we did! We ate appetizers and dessert-- Avgolemono soup was SO GOOD, especially on a cold day, and a generous serving. Sweet potato falafel was crispy on the outside and tender inside, dipped in tzatziki, with perfect seasonings. Next up, wings were PERFECTLY done, topped with feta. Dolmades were bright and shiny and made me happy. For dessert we had Galaktoboureko, a custard pie with flaky phyllo drenched in syrup. YUM! Ok, GO and say hi to Saul!

I'd consider moving from NY to PA to eat Simply Greek every single day. The food was phenomenal and fresh. We even had great conversations with the strangers at another table. I hope I'm in the area again. The only negatives were the hostess acted like we were bothering her and they seemed to rush us out of there after we ate, likely for an expected dinner rush

Whenever we go outlet shopping in Hershey, I look forward to stopping by Simply Greek. It's very affordable and I love pita sandwiches. I've tried bowls too but it's just different being able to grab and take a big bite of that juicy and meaty gyro, tomatoes, onion, tzatziki, and pita all at once! So satisfying!

Dessert only review The inside is clean and spacious. The lady working the counter was super helpful and helped us look through the menu and explained the few things we hadn't heard of before. We tried one of each of the homemade Greek yogurt soft serve flavors and the baklava cheesecake ...the baklava cheesecake was very delicious but the pastry part of it was very difficult to eat since the cream cheese softened the pastry into a sturdy solid piece instead of flaky. Out of all of the yogurt flavors we tried, which were baklava, honey, olive oil, and sour cherry. We all had different favorites. I personally really enjoyed the olive oil flavor, which was unexpected.

I was so excited to try their new location! I knew it was an expanded menu and more space to sit down and enjoy my meal! My friend and I started off by sharing the fried feta. It was our first time trying it, and it was a combination of sweet and savory. We each went with the chicken souvlaki platter that contain two skewers, french fries, rice, Greek salad, and pita. It was delicious and I enjoyed being able to have a little bit of everything on my plate. We ended the night with Loudamades- fluffy dough in honey and walnuts! It was amazing. Our server was attentive and did a nice job of making sure that he checked in with us.

    Chicken Souvlaki Platter

5/5 Simply Greek absolutely lives up to its name -- simple, fresh, and downright delicious! From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. They genuinely care about the customer experience, and it shows in everything they do. The atmosphere is relaxed but vibrant, the kind of place you can enjoy for a quick lunch or settle into for a leisurely dinner. Clean, inviting, and full of energy without ever feeling loud or crowded. Now... the food. Wow. I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki Platter and it was phenomenal. Perfectly seasoned, grilled to perfection, and packed with flavor. You can tell the ingredients are fresh -- every bite had that bright, authentic taste you hope for in Mediterranean cuisine. The portion size is generous, and you definitely get your money's worth. The sides paired perfectly and rounded out the meal beautifully. Simply put: great service, great atmosphere, amazing food. This will definitely be a regular stop for me -- highly recommended!

Traditional lamb stew, very tart from too much tomato paste, wouldn't recommend it

I am not sure how to feel about this place yet,, I think I have to give it another try or maybe I had high expectations. We ordered the Greek fries which were a bit soggy and not crispy as I was hoping. We also ordered the halloumi sticks which were good and not too greasy, I recommend a bit of lemon juice on top. We also ordered a gyro salad with gyro and fries on top, it was so big but was light and delicious, highly recommend it. Lastly I ordered the traditional lamb stew with orzo , I was very excited about it but it tasted very tart as if they put too much tomato paste inside, I wouldn't recommend it. Customer service is fantastic here and people seem to be genuinely kind , I am hoping to try more menu options and to try many of their desserts in the future. I will also try their other location to compare.

Do they serve Greek lemon soup? I don't know the actual Greek name for it. I didn't see it on their menu.

It was a good portion, I was satisfied and everything was cooked really well. My boyfriend ordered the pork gyro (higher plate) with tomato, red onion, lettuce and tzatziki wrapped in pita bread with a side of fresh cut fries and ketchup. First time trying this restaurant because it was close to my hair salon, and it did not disappoint! The place is a smaller shop in a place but it was well organized, clean, and service was quick and tentative as well. There were probably only 3 or 4 employees in the whole restaurant but it seems they have a really organized system and the food came out amazing and at a reasonable time. If you're ever in the Lancaster area looking for delicious Greek food I'd highly recommend this restaurant! And I will definitely be back!

Most items are scratch made down to the pita and they even grow their own herbs. When ordering dessert the owner offered to make us an off menu item he was trying which hopefully makes it onto the menu soon! Additionally a really good drink/beer list! The owner came and spoke with us for a bit and is a very kind and cool guy. This place is absolutely with a try!

One Word = Outstanding…read more We were up in Carlisle picking up our truck and decided to stop here for an early dinner and it was a great choice ! It has been quite some time since we last dined here and we came at the right time, we were able to go right up to the counter and place our order to dine in and the staff member was very friendly and answered a few questions which was perfect. We ordered the flaming cheese and forgive me on the name that and two gyros and a water and a soda and our flaming cheese came out and the pita bread was nice and warm and naturally the cheese was flaming, hot and very flavorful and absolutely perfect. The gyros are incredible. They are filled with meat and the other essential toppings shall I say I'll rolled into a freshly heated pita. While we were eating, it really got busy to wear almost all the tables were filled, and the inside is very relaxed very welcoming and extremely clean and the staff members walking around are always checking on you to see if you need anything and if you need any refills on any of your sodas or waters. We highly recommend stopping here if you're in the mood for Greek food, they have all different type of selections from your basic Gyro to Greek fries to regular fries two more elaborate dinners, all freshly prepared and well present presented. Oh, and don't forget about their dessert counter or shall I say dessert case they are so very unique and absolutely incredible !!!!

The meat in both dishes was well-cooked and flavorful, which was definitely the highlight of the meal. However, beyond that, the bowls felt quite one-dimensional. They consisted mostly of rice, salad, and a dollop of sour cream or Greek yogurt, without the variety of sauces, herbs, or bold Mediterranean flavors I was hoping for. I asked for hot sauce to add some extra flavor, but the standard hot sauce available didn't help much. Instead of adding heat or complexity, it mainly contributed a vinegary taste that didn't enhance the dish. Service was a bit slow, though the restaurant was busy during the lunch rush, so that was understandable. The atmosphere was pleasant and casual, making it a comfortable place for a quick lunch. Overall, the ingredients tasted fresh and the quality seemed good, but the bowls lacked the depth of flavor and seasoning I was expecting, which left the meal feeling underwhelming.
