It was a stopping point for me many times over the years. Blue Oval is a mini mart at a gas station, but they offer so much more than your standard cashier kiosk. You can find an excellent assortment of booze (they did a fine job catering to the largely student-aged crowd), inner tube rentals during the summer for Sacramento River floating adventures, hot food, a wide variety of general merchandise, and snacks galore. Everything is well-priced, too. They are located directly across from a Walgreens and a Safeway, but certainly have been able to hold their own. I enjoyed how this store was open late. The customer service has always been prompt, and the overall vibe is laid-back - though, don't try to purchase booze with a fake ID as they scan them well.
