Meineke is the most professional, honest, and stress relieving shop I have ever experienced. These…read moremen kept me informed daily, worked with my work schedule, offered me multiple different paths and suggestion and schemes on how we could go about rebuilding my glorious 1998 GMC Sierra smallblock V8. -------------- They kept in mind always my best interest. What was best for my truck (without offering any unnecessary performance or maintenance services, in a sleazy "up sale" kinda way.) They articulated and explained to me the problem and their professional solution, in a trustworthy manner that made sense (without making me feel stupid or mechanically illiterate). I really liked that they had multiple solutions and multiple schemes of maneuver on how they could fix any mechanical damages (I had two blown cylinders under the head gasket I believe) sorry if that's not exactly right lol I'm not a mechanic. But basically I was given options such as: "hey you can buy these parts brand new, but also if you would like, we could apply a method where we could re shape these cylinders to fit properly again and that would be just as good and save you a lot of money" (again sorry if that isn't exactly right due to my lack of auto experience) They wanted my truck to run like the American beauty that she is, and that I had a reliable Vehicle that could sustain my two hour a day work commute. These are good hard working professionals that always seemed enthusiastic when explaining to me what they had done in a manner of accomplishment. These are good men with integrity who enjoy their craft. Go here. They will take care of you with absolute integrity and professionalism. Thank you CJ and Nick especially for going above and beyond for me during our "one on one" interactions and handlings. -Army Veteran Ranger

Their website says they open at 7 AM but the oil service starts at 7:30. I mentioned it to a worker…read morewho standing there and he said, "oh, yeah this happens all the time." He made me wait 20 minutes. Then a technician brought my air filter to the waiting room saying it was dirty and needed to be changed. He was unaware that the Ford dealership had just changed it! It was perfectly clean. After 15 years that's my last time there.

Within 3000 miles of an oil change, the oil pan bolt fell out!…read more Jeff at Tuffy first blamed us for removing it!!?? And then said it got knocked out when we hit something?? I noted that a fictitious scrape is not going to unscrew a bolt! Then he said I put the bolt in crooked, when I noted that it was probably damaged by his worker and that's why it fell out! If the bolt had not fallen out because of poor work, I would not have been putting a new one in! Now they say the oil pan is bent. Also suggested a fan belt, not realizing they just replaced it on this very service. THEY SIMPLY DID NOT TIGHTEN THE BOLT ENOUGH AND IT FELL OUT AND THEY WONT ADMIT IT AND WANT TO BLAME US! Poor service, and they will not take responsibility for their incompetent work. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND GOING SOMEPLACE ELSE AS WE WILL FROM NOW ON! From the previous reviews, it looks like others think the same way!

In early October 2024 I needed to replace both the rear shocks on my vehicle. The mechanic who…read moreusually does the work for me gave me a quote of about $250 but couldn't get me in for over a week, so I called Tuffy on Jefferson and the clerk said the cost would be between $250 and $325, and I could bring the vehicle in the next day. That quote was comparable to what my mechanic gave me. However, when I arrived at Tuffy the next day the same clerk said it would be $1200. I said that wasn't what he quoted the previous day and he said "well the shocks are $250 each and then there's labor". I again reminded him of his original quote, he just shrugged and did not reply, probably assumed since I was already there I would go ahead with the job. I did not. My mechanic was able to do the job for $125 labor and I purchased the Monroe shocks with lifetime guarantee for $40 each from Ebay. The whole job was $205 plus tax. Obviously the Tuffy clerk was trying to run a scam. How many other customers have been ripped off by this Tuffy location? The owner should be aware of this problem and hire reputable people.
