If a person could have a favorite QuikTrip, this would be mine. When I lived in STL, I would pass this QT frequently and often stopped for a gas tank fill-up or a snack for me. I'll even be honest and tell you that I have stopped just to use the restroom when out running errands. Why? Because I knew the restroom would be clean. The staff are always friendly and professional. The cashiers move the lines quickly and smoothly. I say that because, I have never seen no line in the QT. It's always busy. Only bad thing about this QT is the parking lot and they can't do anything about it. They keep it clean, but the issue is the other customers driving like a permit driver. So just be careful when you're backing out of a parking space, because Speed Racer may be pulling into the lot. read more

What an amazing experience I had at QuikTrip! When I went up to the gas pump, it was fresh and clean. I needed to grab something to drink. I went inside the building and saw very modern slushy machines, as well as large drinks at cheap prices. I went ahead and got myself a coffee to energize me this morning on my way to work. Their coffee was really good. I also grabbed me a Ham & Cheese Croissant Sandwich, that also energized me for my long commute to work. I saw that the tile floors were cleaned and mopped nicely. My go to quick trip as it's the closest to my house. There's always workers stocking and cleaning. They keep the inside and outside pristine and are constantly cleaning throughout the day. Check out moves pretty fast as the cashiers multi-task and check multiple people out at once. They have upgraded their soda fountains, slushee machines, coffee machines and tea stations to the new touch screen machines. The tea station has been down for a while even when it was old fountain. They get pretty chaotic during the school year early in the morning as a lot of the high school kids are in there trying to get snacks before they go to school, so walking from one side to the other becomes a traffic jam. read more

It finally happened! Quiktrip took the leap into fried food, adding options to both the "kitchen" menu, and offered at the hot case. Today I tried the Mozzarella sticks, the waffle fries, and the chicken tenders. Honestly, I didn't have high hopes for the fries as waffle isn't my favorite cut. Mainly because they are hardly ever crispy and don't hold onto the salt. Neither was the case with these Quiktrip Waffle Fries! They were perfectly crispy as well as perfectly salted. 10/10 from me for sure, and honestly better than Chick-fil-a. Next was the mozzarella sticks. I'd give a 7/10 for these. Its nothing QT really did wrong, just that they aren't the most flavorful to begin with. They were a little darker than they needed to be, but overall decent. Cheese had a slightly milky taste (which is what I'm looking for) but they were still a bit underwhelming. Breading to cheese ratio is also a factor here. Too much breading. Finally was the tenders. WOW! These were spectacular. Now of course they aren't as good as a dedicated fried chicken restaurant, but they are the best "frozen tenders from a bag" that I've ever had from a gas station. Dipping them (and the waffle fries) in cheese really kicks them up a notch. Bottom line is that I'm very excited for Quiktrip to venture into some fried foods. Other items not mentioned are bone in wings, crispy chicken sandwich, and fried apple pies! I can't wait to see what else gets "dropped" this summer! Maybe real corn dogs instead of whatever the roller grill thing is supposed to be, or a limited time rotation of things like jalapeno poppers, fried mushrooms, toasted ravioli, onion rings, fried pickles, etc. Great job QT! read more

This was the first time I was in this new QT. It is the new style and layout. Lots to learn about where things are! The store was clean, the place was hoping but the folks behind the register seemed a bit new and there were longer lines than what I expected. Might have been the case that it was breakfast time as well. Customers were coming at the counter from all directions to pay for stuff. Now you can get fresh hot stuff the the indoor food counter. The removed most of the prepackaged deli stuff to replace it with this. There is also a large choice of flavored teas like the soda dispenser. I didn't know tea was that popular in MO. There is outdoor seating away from the parking so if you decide to stay and eat you won't be breathing in fumes. read more

This location is my favorite: great customer service quick and fast with the hot prepared food. Good grilled cheese sandwich for the price. When I use to drink coffee and soda this was my spot to get both. I still get gas from here because my car seems happy when I do lol Although, I wish corporate would listen to my suggestion of serving breakfast sandwiches without pork and a non meat option. I have made these suggestions for years and will keep making them until they listen. In my opinion a gas station is a gas station unless it's a QuikTrip. I definitely prefer to go to one of these if i have a choice because i know they train their staff to be really friendly, their bathrooms are always incredibly clean, and the food is good. The new QuikTrips now offer a kitchen where you can order fresh food options for lunch. It's nothing special but definitely better than what other convenience stores offer on their roller grills. This is a new location in Maplewood and is very convenient to my home. The only downside is you can't turn right onto Big Bend from the pump area you have to drive around the back of the building and wait in line to get back out. read more

Brand new QuikTrip located just a block north from their now closed one. This one is super. Brand new and clean inside. They also offer more food selections such as pizzas and hot pretzels. There are tables to sit at outside and plenty of parking on three sides of the building. Gas prices are usually on the low end in town. All the workers are friendly and quick. Here's why: - Huge parking lot - easy to get in and out of. - Lots of parking spaces in case you're not getting gas. - Many pumps. - Huge convenience store area. - QT Kitchen - order food at a kiosk and it's ready in minutes, plus many ready made items. The pizza is pretty good! - Cheap fountain drinks. - SUPER friendly and efficient workers. I've always heard that QT treats their employees well, and it shows. read more

I stopped at this location to get gas for my car because it was quick and convenient. It's a new location and much nicer that its previous location. The interior is set up like a convenience, quick stop and deli type set up with food and general merchandise that gas station people seem to feel necessary to sell besides gas. Paying at the counter and the pumps proximity to the building are still just as annoying as it was at the old location, but because it's nicer and on the corner of Manchester and Big Bend in Maplewood, it seems much busier than the old location. That increased traffic at certain times of the day are really annoying. So with that said, if they have cheaper prices for gasoline here than elsewhere, I'll still get gas here. read more

After getting gas, I went in to pay and watched a cashier rip a young lady off. It was only for a dollar or so, but what was really upsetting was, the cashier couldn't do basic simple math. Plus, he argued with her. So, make it a point to count your money when you exchange hands with the cashier. The inside was clean enough for a winter day, other than a puddle on the floor. I go here for gas and cheap coffee! For under $2-$3, I can get a mocha cappuccino with hazelnut, caramel, or whatever kind of syrup and whipped cream. As a person who's not a big coffee drinker, but likes the occasional hot chocolate with a caffeine kick, I can't judge the quality of the coffee, but the lot is well lit (safe), and has well marked lines (that some people still ignore).
