At this point, I thought I just had a cold so on my way to coffee I stopped for a box of Dayquil. Easy to find and check prices but it's the "new" version of Sudafed and not the one with pseudoephedrine. I did not see any of the usual cards to bring to the pharmacy and I was not up to talking to a person, so I settled. Easy to pay for it and be on my way swiftly. If I could leave a 0-Star review, I would. I called the pharmacy to check up on the status of my prescription, I called it in a few weeks ago and have no updates. When I called, they asked for my first and last name which I provided. Despite spelling out my name clearly on three separate occasions on her request, the technician I was speaking to said that my "name was too long and she didn't know how to spell it." My name is only 7 letters and she had me spell it for her three separate times. She then asked to give her a moment while she went to figure something out. I assumed that I would be put on hold, but I was not. Instead, the technician simply set the phone down an d went about with what she was doing. The phone was not on hold, so I was still able to hear everything that was going on in and around the pharmacy phone; including the technician speaking with other customers, answering calls, and completing transactions for customers. I was completely ignored for 30 minutes and they were completely aware of the fact; as the phone was not on hold, they were able to hear me speaking into the phone on my end asking for an update or any assistance whatsoever. Nobody ever answered and continued our conversation, instead they just hung up on me and told me to call again. This Walgreens location has nothing but problems. I have never once been satisfied with the services they provide; they have taken literal weeks to fill my prescriptions before , the employees are rude and dismissive, and their hours are not consistent or posted properly. Had my primary care call in a scrip for paxlovid at 11 AM. it is FIVE PM and NO SCRIP - it is STILL in progress. I obviously won't get it today and am no longer in a window where I can get someone to pick it up for me. Called to speak to a live person and was on hold for over 30 minutes with "over three people ahead of me" which never changed. Will never use them again. Seriously the WORST pharmacy in existence. It's 2 minutes from my house, so I have given it repeated chances but I'm done and will drive further for a better experience. Literally, and I mean LITERALLY, every script I've ever tried to fill has had issues. I have been told numerous times "it will be ready tomorrow at 12" only to come back at that time, stand in line for 30 minutes, and be told that it's still not ready. Or there's an error with insurance. Or the computer isn't working. Or most recently, they completely lost my script. Then they say "well you should call to make sure it's ready before coming" and spend 45 minutes on hold for them to tell you it's ready, then show up in person and surprise, it's not ready. Not to mention you can't come to this Walgreens without someone asking for money in the parking lot or witnessing a custom having a mental break down in the store. read more

This is my first one star review on Yelp as I reserve them for establishments I think should be wiped off the face of the planet and have a net negative on society. I never thought I would be reviewing a pharmacy but I felt I am doing a civil service by straying people from here. My roommate and I tried hard to make this place work out as our pharmacy because it is so close to us but it is just so bad. My roommate has really bad asthma and they have messed up his related scripts multiple times and it has caused him lots of stress, time, and discomfort. I tried getting a photo for a visa and it wasn't the typical dimensions. I was told on the phone they could do this but when I got there the workers were clueless. I tried making sure they could do it for me before I went forward with the process but they were not helpful and then started yelling at each other. And tried to tell me they are just going to do it and do their typical format and I had to tell them multiple times that won't work. The workers here are terrible - don't have an ounce of care for the work they do and are incompetent. Eventually a fourth worker came over and tried to look around through the options they were able to offer and was able to tell me they would not be able to help. The only nice thing is sometimes if you're just buying something over the counter you'll get a pleasant cashier. read more

I tried to get a single prescription filled three times in one week, only to be told that it 'wasn't ready' every time I came to pick up. Come to find out, they hadn't even started filling it, despite confirming that that meds were in stock in person and receiving automated calls that they were ready for pickup. Called the pharmacy at 1:15pm, per recording lunch from 130 to 2pm. Held all that time just to get a recording at 130 that now they closed for lunch. Call back waited 45 minutes just for the pharmacist to say she couldn't give me price of medicine without the prescription being sent first. This is an out of pocket medication; why can't I get a price first before sending my prescription over. In my opinion pure laziness. Who wouldn't call around to get the best price for their medication. Called Walmart and CVS and had no problem with getting a price before sending my prescription. I was very ill and took my prescriptions right to the pharmacy from urgent care. They told me it would be 2 to 3 hours. I kept waiting for them to be ready. SEVEN hours later, I walked to the pharmacy in a driving rain storm. The prescriptions still weren't ready. Instead of listening to my concerns, the pharmacy tech was immediately defensive. Well, I apologize, miss, I misunderstood. It turns out Walgreens just permanently closed several stores in the area, so now everybody and their dog is bringing their prescriptions to this location. I thought it was crappy service, but the pharmacy is utterly overwhelmed. It's not the pharmacy staff's fault at all! Again, I apologize, pharmacy tech. I've had all of my worst pharmacy experiences here... I thought maybe at first it was just the walgreens app being buggy, but no matter how I manage my prescriptions (app, website, phone, in person), they frequently mess it up at this location. Prescription orders will be canceled with no warning, or auto refills wont happen on time. I ran out of medications TWICE and went without them for days, ones which it is not safe to do that with. I wound up getting bad withdrawals because of their incompetence! These were not controlled substances. There shouldn't have been any issues. Beyond that, sometimes their phone system will hang up on me while i'm on hold. It just did that four times in a row today while I was waiting in the parking lot for my scheduled Covid test. When I finally managed to talk to someone, they told me to come inside for it... and wait some more. But inside!!? When I could have covid? They are endangering all the other customers this way. I've had good experiences at other Walgreens in the past, but I will be looking for another pharmacy ASAP read more

The ratings for this place are all accurate. Have tried this location multiple times because it's the closest pharmacy to home. Filthy with trash strewn about inside and out. Shelves half empty and disorganized. Workers angry, uninterested and disengaged. Panhandlers. The only positive are the true pharmacists if you can manage to speak with them. This is my local Walgreens. Pros: Easy drive through and 2 Redbox machines outside. Staff always greet guests going into the store. The staff is very helpful. Cons: Pan Handlers Pan Handlers Pan Handlers...and litter It's ridiculous that there is so much litter but they do not have the staff to help. 4 times a day...the staff need to pick up trash.. This has got to be the worse pharmacy on the planet. I only came here because by the time I left the ER, it was too late to go to my regular pharmacy. I stopped coming here years ago after they continuously messed up my meds. Every time I come here something is wrong. I am sick and frustrated and only left with one of the meds I needed. Have you ever poked yourself in the eye on accident, really, really hard? That's how it feels for me every time I go to the Walgreens on Lindell. The Walgreens that's REALLY close to me (Union/Page) has been having major crime issues- not talking theft and fights, more like a murder right in the parking lot- so Walgreens on Lindell it's been for a while. After reading such great reviews on the Kingshighway Walgreens, that's probably where I'll be going from now on. I mainly go to Walgreens for the pharmacy and it's such a challenge every single time! Once I stood at the counter (just me, no one else in line) for close to 20 minutes while the pharmacists were... wait. I actually have no idea what they were doing. One of them was on the phone with an insurance company which makes sense, and the other two just disappeared. When the lady on the phone finally came over, she made it clear that she wasn't happy to be getting me my meds. (Insert finger in eye right about now) The drive-thru pharmacy is even worse than the inside, believe it or not. On my most recent trip, I gave the pharmacist my information three times in a row, calmly with a smile, and then she put the phone down and walked away. I assumed she was going to get my prescription, but a new person came over, picked up the phone, and said "date of birth please." She took my information again, and I finally got my medicine. I'm sure the people in the line of cars behind me were thrilled, but the same thing probably happened to them! Creepy security guard dudes, average of 8-10 people in each line at the front, always out of Big & Sexy hair products (don't laugh, B&S hair products is my thing.) Go somewhere else! I went to this Walgreens to get the COVID BOOSTER and the pharmacist pretended to administer the vaccination. Not knowing that I am a healthcare provider and well aware of the process, but even though someone with common sense know when they been stuck or not with a needle. When I asked her if she gave me the shot she said she did , the needle is small. But I should have felt something because it's an Intramuscular injection. There was no skin broken no blood no nothing. And then she was suppose to have me wait 15 min for side effects she let me leave right away. Ugh. I hate this Walgreen's. It wins out for me because it's walkable and it has a pharmacy with a convenient online interface. That's where it ends, though. Said convenient online interface might save you 10-15 minutes on the front end, but you have to stand in line for a good 30 anytime you want to pick up a prescription. Insurance info's never right, though, and there are always a bunch of beleaguered and/or frazzled patrons in front of you who can't wait to see if they can pay in some weird way. Everything in this store also features the dreaded "Walgreens markup" common to every location. You really do pay for convenience here, I think. The only problem is, when you pay for convenience, it's nice to get it. Every time I come into this location, Lindell Blvd. I get the utmost respect and great customer service. The staff is super friendly and go above and beyond. The manager Adesina Johnson is always smiling and moving but always stops to help or make sure me and my family is ok. The pharmacy staff was very friendly, professional and prompt. I really appreciate this store just for being in the centralized location and having the things I need for a quick run in. There's a reason I stopped shopping here. Stopping by today to pick up a few quick things reminded me of that reason, namely, THIS IS THE WORST WALGREENS EVER. Surly staff, poorly stocked shelves, callous pharmacists and an all around aggressive atmosphere are just a few of the charming things you can expect to encounter at this store. Oh, and today, when I handed the cashier my reusable bag to put my purchases in, she actually recoiled and refused to bag my purchases, telling me "That's nasty! I'm not touching nobody else's bag! I don't know where that's been! Gross! Nasty nasty nasty!" Wait what? Are you seriously refusing to bag my items in a reusable bag? Did you just call me nasty to my face? Are you still calling me nasty as I walk away from your register? SERIOUSLY?! Lady, I don't know what YOU put in YOUR reusable bags, but I can assure you this canvas bag is clean. If anyone from Walgreen's corporate is reading this, I beseech you: If you have any sense of pride in your corporation, you will fire everyone who works here, raze this store and start over from scratch. MEH. I only come here because it's so close by and I need my drugz, yo. Oh the irony. Go inside for the legal drugs, go outside for the illegal drugs. It's actually way less "ghetto" here than Schnuck's across the street....so if I am on my way home from a night out somewhere (e.g. CWE) and I need fresh milk, I prefer to stop in here to grab it instead of the grungier store across the road. One fine night when I was leaving some guy shouted at me in the parking lot, "YO BRITNEY SPEARS. CAN I HAS YO AUTOGRAPH?!" I seriously almost died laughing. Thankfully there was a cop-on-a-bike riding around in the lot so I didn't feel unsafe at any time. Obviously it goes without saying that I lock my car door as soon as I get inside whilst in their parking lot, but that goes for any sketchy store, not just the Lindell Walgreens or Schnuck's. Haha. The wait times inside the actual store vary from eye-poking (as Aimee K. pointed out) to eye-gouging!! Haha. The pharmacy tech guys and girls always take freaking FOREVER to get my shit taken care of. The lines are obscenely long. The people who work there barely have an IQ above room temperature. Not only that, but sometimes they mumble. To quote a favorite actor of mine, "Englishmothafucka do you speak it?!" OK this review is getting silly. In all fairness the prices are decent/fair, and they've never effed up my prescription....yet....knock on wood. If only it would become less shady and more efficient and dare I suggest it--friendly?! This Walgreens reminds me of the DMX album, "It's Dark, and Hell is hot." Do not plan on walking through the front door in any casual "I'm actually here to shop" sort of way. You could try to do that, but you would be badly mistaken. Here are three reasons why you may want to pump the brakes before making your entry: 1. The always lively bunch of fellows buckin and jookin in the entrance or on the curb just before the entrance. The security guard usually joins them in this celebratory dance. You'll have to wait for them to finish before you can pass. 2. The curious folks just trolling around the parking lot deciding just how they want to go about acquiring products from this establishment. Their mindset might be this, "Do I rob the place, or do I use my government check." Now this is a classic Chinese riddle as one cannot buy Kool menthols with government money, or so I thought. 3. Finally, can your purchase be made elsewhere? Maybe in a safer establishment? Possibly just across the way at ghetto Schnucks? Just saying. Please do not limit yourself. If you were planning on using this Walgreens to fill a prescription, do not do that. You're just inviting yourself into a Nigerian nightmare that of which Christian Okoye is all too familiar with. If you absolutely must use this establishment, and trust me, you don't. Try going about it like I do. Have your friend drive you in a Caprice while waiting in the parking lot bumpin "Welcome to my sex room". Its Robert Kelly at his finest and it puts everyone at ease. Just point out all the women carrying purses and the hypocrisy will confuse him long enough for you to put your headphones back in your ears and get your benedryl. But, if you're lucky, you'll witness one of Connie's famous polite shouting matches with the younger staff over the loud speaker. This Walgreens has one of the lousiest pharmacies I have ever been to. I only go here because the the convenience! There is one pharmacy tech who always makes sure to screw something up. He looks extremely unhygenic, with his greasy hair, unshaven, greasy face, grungy band shirts and wristbands. I haven't the slightest idea why he's still there. The pharmacists were also very unfriendly. I stopped by to ask one of them for some counseling on GERD and when I asked her why she recommended one particular drug, she started to explain the mechanism in the body and then suspiciously asked me why.
