I wanted to buy ribbon various color sizes and types. When I walked towards the back of the store to look at the ribbon, I was flabbergasted!!! my eyes open so wide my mouth dropped open. I had just stepped into ribbon heaven. I came away with maybe 20 different ribbons, maybe 5 yards each and $48 bill. Well worth it. I wanted various types to make ribbon book markers. I asked for a suggestion on installers. She suggested going to the WIA (Wallcovering Installers Association) website. I did but only 1 installer showed up for my area. I contacted him and provided the dimensions for all 4 walls. Their quote was outrageous and they wanted to charge extra for any prep work - $840 to install the wallpaper and $100/hr for any prep work. They said I needed 4 double rolls. My husband contacted 2 other installers. The first one quoted $425 to install but said he would not do any prep work. He said we needed 3 double rolls. The other installer quoted $550, which included any prep work and he said we needed 3 double rolls. That's who we went with. Once the swatches were received at my home, I was able to select the one I wanted so went back to the store to place my order. Even though I gave the sales person the swatch, the wrong paper was ordered. So I had to go back to return the wrong wallpaper and have the correct paper ordered. I provided the wall dimensions. The sales person said I needed 4 double rolls so that is what was ordered. The wallpaper was installed and only 2-1/2 double rolls were used. I went back to the store and requested a refund for the one unused roll. The sales person said that a refund was not possible, even though I went with the amount that the store sales person recommended. She said I would have had to use the installer's recommendation. Even though we love the wallpaper we selected and the final product, I am very disappointed that I was not able to get a refund for an unused double roll. And I also would not use the store's recommendation to go to the WIA (Wallcovering Installers Association) website to find an installer.

We contacted several upholsterers. Howard's Custom Upholstery was the first to reply. Later, they turned out to offer the best price. Before selecting Howard's we dropped by in person. We met the owner, Tavi, and we were immediately impressed by both his knowledge and his friendly personality. Tavi showed us the fabric he would use for our new chaise linings. We approved the fabric and we set a date to do the work a couple of weeks in the future. On the day that Howard's came to pick up our chaises, they were very professional! They wore booties over their shoes. They carefully carried out each chaise, wrapped them in plastic and then carefully loaded them in their truck wrapping them in thick blankets to prevent damage in route. We were impressed. A couple of hours later we got a call that the chaises were done already. Wow! That was fast. We set a time for delivery. When the team from Howard's arrived they were just as careful unwrapping and bringing the chaises back into our home as they had been when removing them. They carefully turned each chaise over so we could inspect the new lining. They did a beautiful job! We were very pleased with the quality of their workmanship! When we have other reupholstery projects in the future, we will definitely call Howard's Custom Upholstery! Do not expect a one day turnaround like our chaises. They explained to us that ours was a simple job. For most work expect your furniture will be out for a while. We highly recommend Howard's Custom Upholstery, Mission Viejo. You will be glad you selected them!

I've repeatedly encountered rude and dismissive behavior when asking for basic assistance, whether it was about diamond painting supplies, friendship bracelet thread, or yarn. They often act as though helping a customer is an inconvenience. Quite frankly, there have also been several instances where I felt they were surprised or uncomfortable dealing with a non-white customer, which is especially odd considering the wide variety of people who shop at this location. What makes the contrast even more noticeable is that whenever college-aged employees are working in the back, they are friendly, approachable, and willing to help without any apparent issue. Management should consider additional customer-service and cultural-sensitivity training for the employees in these sections. No customer should feel unwelcome or treated differently simply for asking for help.
