I recently visited Hobby Lobby and had a very enjoyable shopping experience. The store is located in a shopping center with a large private parking lot, so finding a space was easy and convenient even during busier hours. Inside, the store had a bright, clean, and well-organized layout that made browsing through the aisles relaxing and inspiring. Some items had prices that were clearly marked and some didn't. It was hard finding a staff member to get items scanned so I had to put it in my shopping cart and get to the checkout line for a price check. I have been to other Hobby Lobby locations and it's quite large with lots of items to look at. I feel like all these stores are owned by a Christian family as I frequently hear Christian music as you walk around the store and it is quite peacful and relaxing even for non religious shoppers. Some of the standout items for sale included seasonal home décor whcih right now was clearance items from Valentines Day and new items for Easter holiday. There were also a large display of artificial floral arrangements, wall art, and a wide variety of craft supplies. I found a few paints supplies and scrapbooking materials for my niece to enjoy. The selection was impressive, and the quality of the products made it easy to find unique items for both home decorating and DIY projects. Overall, this Hobby Lobby location is a great place to shop if you have time to wander the entire store because you will leave with a cart full of creative supplies or stylish décor. This place has everything you need, with excellent pricing. Everyday low prices and plenty of sales so no coupons necessary. I've gotten all party supplies here, chocolate & cake making, frames, wedding add ons for veils and dresses etc. the employees are supper helpful too. Shoutout to Linda, Medina and Theresa went above and beyond for me when I lost an important item in store. Definitely your one stop shop for crafts and party supplies! read more

I would never in a million years think to write a review on hobby lobby with one stars but today is Easter and I had an Alice in wonderland themed easter and these pom pins on the picture were going to be the perfect things hanging on top of our table they look more weirder than lanterns which reminded me of something the mad hatter would do but obviously when I opened the packaged they were nowhere near what the picture showed why put these when it was clearly misleading, also the only thing that bugs me about this place is the cashiers are licking their fingers to roll your items in the paper and to open bags or even money it's just gross I dont want to touch my bags after u have licked your fingers please managers talk to ur employees about this it doesn't make the experience enjoyable read more

Located right off of Alicia in the big shopping center that has Pavillions, Walmart and a whole host of other stores there is plenty of parking and easy access. Hobby Lobby is one of those giant warehouse type stores chock full of housewares. They have gotten themselves in a bit of a pickle with their religious commentary but they still seem to draw crowds. It's sort of like the stuff you see at Home Goods before it gets marked down.. like wall art of Santa in a military uniform.. or the Buffalo staring at you wearing a Santa hat.. you know.. high class art.... They do have lots of art supplies and their checkout goes pretty fast. Next time you need an end table made of a German shepherd with a flat surface on his back you now know where to shop! read more

Came in today because my friend told me that they always have 50% off in the bakery section, when I was checking out the sweetest cashier Janet informed me that anything that says "sunny side up bakery" is always 50% off score! I'm going to make cupcakes so compared to what I was going to pay on Amazon for supplies, it came out to quite a steal. You can get lost in here with the endless aisles and their plethora of trinkets. I love coming here, there is something for everyone, and you never leave empty handed. There is always a sale going on, and plenty of employees to ask for help. Parking is in abundance anytime of the day. Who doesn't love a good deal?! Come visit! read more

How can they not take NFC payment methods or Apple Pay/Google Pay? I waited in line to check out only need to be told they need a natural credit card or cash. I was in Belize earlier this year, a developing Third World country, and everybody took Apple Pay. I never even needed to take my wallet anywhere. I got my wallet, then had to wait in line all over again. Terribly backwards company. Go to Target, World Market or HomeGoods instead! read more

Hobby lobby definitely has its pros and cons. Pros: Pricing is generally really good. There are lots of decor and craft options for any age. Everyone is always very friendly. Cons: The store can be overwhelming since there is SO much there. The check out lines can take forever even if nobody is really in line, which can be frustrating. read more

This review is for the Hobby lobby on Alicia Parkway in Laguna Niguel. They have 'great' selections on holiday decor and crafts and they also have decent pricing but that's just not enough for a pleasant shopping experience! Their floor supervisor/management, and their cashiers are not trained how to expedite good customer service and here's an example -- after standing in line for 10 minutes behind one man (who was waiting for 5 minutes before me) with only two cashiers and 15 people in line, a young cashier comes to the line to open a cash register then proceeds to take two people who have just arrived at the back of the line -- leaving all of us who have been waiting over 10 minutes in line. The floor manager/supervisor saw this happening but never said a word! That's not how you treat your customers; instead, the right thing to do is take the next person (who's been waiting) in line and bring them to the new register! It's not difficult to use common sense. Instead, several people walked out, including me! Try TRAINING and Re-Training your employees -- and always remember it begins with well-trained MANAGEMENT! read more

NO APPLE PAY? RUDE WORKERS. I want to share a disappointing experience my daughter and I had at the Laguna Niguel Hobby Lobby. We visited the store today to buy supplies for her Christmas candle-making project and had a lovely time shopping. Unfortunately, the checkout experience completely overshadowed it. The store was busy, and we patiently waited a long time in line. When we finally reached the register, we were told that the store does not accept Apple Pay. There was no visible signage to indicate this ahead of time. We asked politely if the cashier could hold our items so we could quickly retrieve my daughter's card. Before she could respond, another cashier loudly interrupted, stating that they "don't do that anymore," which came across as abrupt and unkind. We accepted this and left, but within seconds of stepping outside, my daughter realized her card was actually in the car. She went back immediately and explained this. The items were still at the counter, and she only needed a few seconds to grab her card from the car. The cashier said she could, but insisted she would need to wait in the entire line again. This level of inflexibility and lack of courtesy was very discouraging. The delay was only a matter of seconds, and there was no reason the cashier could not simply hold the transaction for her to return. After waiting so long and being spoken to so abruptly, it felt extremely dismissive, especially toward a young customer excited about her project. I hope the store can address this so future customers are treated with more empathy, professionalism, and basic kindness. read more

it is a wonderful store for the most part. I make my own greeting cards amd purchase 12x12 specialty card stock, but they are very picked over over and several spots that are empty. I went to the Aliso aViejo one again last week hoping they had restocked them, but alas, no. They have been sparce for months. I went to the one in Santa Ana after that and it was fully stocked. It's 1/2 hour one way and even when there is a sale, which there often is, with the price of gas in CA, my savings are eaten up in gas. Michaels is ten minutes from me, so that will probably be my go to store, at least for the paper. read more

One of my favorite Hobby Lobby locations. The staff members are always helpful and knowledgeable. I didn't get all their names but I do remember Luci at the check-out register. She was a doll and we adore her. The store is organized and it's easy to locate what I'm looking for. They have a wide selection of items at reasonable prices. There is always a staff member nearby in every section so I don't have to go on an expedition to find help or if I have a question. I love that they have a lot of cash registers opened all at once when the lines get long... or maybe I just happen to get lucky every time I come here? I don't think I've ever had to wait in line for more than 2 minutes on a busy day which isn't bad at all considering I've stood in line for almost 9 minutes at Michaels a few weeks ago and it wasn't even busy. I went to purchase some stuff today (3/03/2025 around 3pm) and there was only one cashier open next to the "return" register. This orderly lady in that register (I couldn't see her name) was pretty rude, l sensed racism towards me and my mother in law. The reason I say this is because the customer she helped before us was a caucasian woman, the cashier was supper nice and helpful to her but as soon as we walked to the register she even changed her face and tone. I asked her how she was doing today and she didn't respond or even looked at me. There was clearly a difference of treatment between us and the white customer. Disgusting behavior, I will never go back to this location. read more

Hobby Lobby is located in the city of Laguna Nigel. You'll find this store in a large shopping center on the corner of Pacific Park and Alicia Parkway. It's in the northeast corner of the lot with ample parking out front. Hobby Lobby has a nice variety of home decor items. You can find small pieces of furniture like chairs and small tables. Home decor such as mirrors, picture frames, and ornaments are also prevalent throughout the store. If you like to sew, you might want to peruse their materials, ribbons, and other sewing accessories. I like that they have some items that would be handy in my classroom such as stamps, ink pads, popsicle sticks, and so on. Of course, plenty of garden decor is available to add a little curb appeal to your home. What is interesting nowadays is that Hobby Lobby recently took many precautions prior to reopening. Masks are required upon entry and they carefully monitor the number of people that can be in the store at one time. Blue tape shaped like squares marks the spot where you will stand during checkout. Plastic partitions provide a level of protection for the customer and employees. Also, countertops and debit/credit card readers are wiped down after each use. I have to say that it felt good to be back to shopping inside of the store. We were able to take our time as we looked for some items for our home. Due to the circumstances with COVID-19, I like that they did their best to make the shopping experience enjoyable. Everyone was so friendly as they welcomed people back into the stores! This Hobby Lobby is huge! It was my first time coming to this hobby lobby since I needed to buy a few items for work. Sadly, the Christmas decorations are very low in stock right now. My fault for waiting last minute to buy Christmas decorations. Other than that, this place has everything you need! I even started a new hobby with making chunky blankets and their yarn is 30% right now! All the employees that I encountered during my last two visits have been really friendly! One employee even made sure she rang up the correct items and didn't double scan anything. read more

I had a very bed experience at this location . A couple of months ago I was looking for a strong glue and picked up two at this location . It had "super glue " on one of them and when I asked the associate if I could return it for a refund in case it's not strong enough , she reassured me that I can get a refund . The so called superglue was very watery texture and not super glue at all and when I took it back for a refund the manager said that it was opened and they don't take it back !! How on earth can the quality be checked if it's not opened ?! I stormed out of that place because she was rude in the way she was examining how much glue was used and trying to convince me that if I am looking for a product I will have to pay to try it ! I have NEVER experienced something like this before and I'm not going to this store again . read more

Hobby Lobby does not give teachers any kind of discount with valid teacher ID like Michaels does. Every little bit helps when you are spending your own money to buy things not provided by the district. I was there today to purchase tote bags for my students to help them organize their extended learning materials. The cheapest ones were marked with 2 different prices. The associate helping me said that they would honor the lower price for all of them and to let the person at the register know. They would not honor the lower price. I checked out this store over the past weekend - twice actually. My first time in the store, was overwhelming. Its huge and for someone who has never been in there, it is a little intimidating. This store is heaven for anyone who loves Pintrest. It seems they have everything you could ever need to do any project on Pintrest, but then also have the completed projects if you just prefer to buy them without the hassle of doing them. I literally had to walk around the store 3 or 4 times to find what I wanted, and I couldnt find anyone on the floor to help me. Once I knew what I needed to go back for the second trip, it was a little easier, but I would just suggest planning to spend some time in this store if its your first time or if you arent familiar with it yet. The worst experience ever at this store. I literally bought items YESTERDAY from their lake forest location and tried to return it to this Laguna Niguel location because they didn't work for my home. I had my receipt with me and they said for a sign they couldn't return it because the sku number didn't pop up for them even though I had a photo of the signs at the store that there's more than one there. Do they not do any further research for it? Even a customer was siding with me and telling them to check my credit card or ANYTHING. I feel like they are so lazy here and don't want to do any more work than they have to. I also went to return a table runner that I had unrolled to see if it worked with my table and the manager goes "oh well now this has to be in clearance (in an annoyed manner) cuz it's all unrolled" so I SHOWED them how to roll it back up and put the label back on there, like are you kidding?? Could you be any lazier?! Oh, and so now I have to go to another store to return my item and they told me that those people will look through their "records" in the VIDEOS to see when I was there...why would I be lying?? On Monday December 9th 2019, approximately 6pm, my mom who is in love with that store, goes in and starts shopping. When she goes to the cashier, she notices a lady cutting the line. When she tells the cashier "I think I was in front of that lady", the cashier starts going off on my mom and when the store manager comes, the store manager continues defending the cashier and talking to my mom in absolutely disrespectful way. This is happening in front of all the customers in line and my mom is being yelled at by STORE MANAGER! I'll find out who that unprofessional manager is tomorrow and will be updating this review with her name tomorrow. The store? Hobby lobby is a great store with many different products and I highly recommend it to everyone! However with the unprofessional of the store manager who lets herself yell at the customers, the revenue of that store won't rise whatsoever! read more
