They told me it was the actuator and the repair cost was over $500 dollars. When I asked them did the A/C compressor check out they told me they had not gotten that far. I asked them why you would check out a minor system over a major component. I told them that I would pay the $95.00 diagnostic fee and to have my car ready for pick-up, that's when the diagnostic fee increased to $150.00. I also came to realize that in the repair costs they had slipped in a $70.00 oil change. I ask you, who do you trust?

Javier, the owner, was paid over $7k for labor on an OEM engine rebuild, yet my performance car left the shop with a dead battery and a coolant leak. Not only did the shop owner try to weasel out of the 'warranty' by telling me I would have to pay for a coolant system repair, but he overbilled me. After agreeing on a rate of $125/hr the final bill states $169/hr which created about $1000 profit. Irresponsible comes from leaving my car smelling like shop oil/grease. My car has a dead battery, is leaking coolant, and smells like grease. IF YOU DONT STAND BEHIND YOUR WORK, YOU WILL CONTINUE TO LOSE CUSTOMERS! HONOR YOUR COMMITMENTS. Wow! What a huge disappointment!

I…read moream very sad to learn this news, since I had recommended them to another friend, and wondered why they don't answer the phone. I stopped by the other day, and there are cars parked inside a locked gate, but no signs of life anywhere. Ken and H&M had been recommended to me by another friend when a different mechanic's repair of my 2003 Honda Accord ended up with sludge in my engine. (I had used that previous Honda-only mechanic for many years, but then stopped using them after they messed up my car. I couldn't trust them anymore.) Ken told me that I would have been better off replacing my engine instead of repairing it, and that it would have cost about the same, or even less, to do that. Ken and H&M were always honest and reliable. I have since traded in that old Honda Accord for a new one, and was looking forward to going back to Ken and H&M after my manufacturer's service contract on my new car expired. Sadly, due to Ken's death and the closing of this business, I will need to find a different mechanic if I don't want to continue using the Honda dealer where I purchased my new car. There are no signs outside that the business is closed. I'm guessing the family is still in a bit of shock. I have attached a photo showing the gate is closed during normal business hours.

The store I bought the battery from said that the battery needed charging, but I knew better since it wouldn't hold any charge since after driving for 30 minutes. When I showed Ken, he helped me right away with testing the battery and confirming that I need it replaced. He insisted that I don't drive the car until it got replaced. After the store replaced the battery, everything is all fixed with my car! I will be coming here for all my car needs. I am thankful for Ken's quick response to my problem.

His attention to details was beyond perfect, and prior mechanical issues before the accident were addressed. The finished job was more beautiful than the day I bought the car. Although, at a first glance of the shop may seem out of ordinary or traditional repair shops but their work surprisingly beats all bigger repair shops I have been in the past.
