My only critique is this- they don't do powder dip, acrylics, or nail art of ANY kind. Just straight up old fashioned gel and regular mani/pedis. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure, and was impressed by the level of attention to detail given to my hands and feet. Usually mani-pedis hurt me a bit and I can't relax, but nothing hurt at all during this service! All coats of polish gel and regular were perfect, no bubbles or weird thick spots. My chrome application was also done very well. I appreciated the hot towel service as well. The salon was quiet and had relaxing music as well, I almost fell asleep. Don't let the inside fool you! Although they don't have massage chairs, this is probably one of the most relaxing pedicures I've ever gotten in SF. Love how they carry higher end nail polishes like Chanel and Hermes! Facility is really clean and I appreciate the fingerless UV gloves they put on you for the gel manicures. There's a huge selection of nail polishes and an upstairs and downstairs section. I usually make an appointment before I swing by, not sure if they take walk ins. Place is well ventilated, everyone wears masks here and there's a giant Conway air purifier downstairs. There's un metered 2 hour parking on Sutter street and no parking at the meters from 4-7pm Monday-Friday. They will tow your car. Be sure to read the signs. read more

I got a gel mani and regular pedicure here and was extremely satisfied. They pay a lot of attention to detail. The pedicure was the best I've ever received. I have difficult nail shapes, so usually people just cut them in a way that works. But here, they put effort into making the shape just right. I actually think my toes look pretty for once in my life! They also carry Chanel and Hermes brand nail polish. Although they say the quality is the same, I really liked their rose-colored Hermes because of its neutral shade. It goes well with my skin tone and I'll probably go back for it each time. The foot soak comes with herbs and flowers that give it a spa-like quality. They give you gloves to cover your hands when you're doing your gel and curing the nails so that you do t expose skin to the UV lights too much...something I had thought about recently and wished more places had. But im not impressed with the outcome of my gel mani. my nails look bumpy and uneven. and the shape of my nails is not consistent. Every nail is a different shape. The first time my services were done I was a little thrown off by their very dated technique of removing gel. I've been getting my nails done since the 90s and sitting in this salon I felt like that's where I was - the 90s. If you're looking for a basic nail salon. Basic manicure. Nothing fancy. The atmosphere is really nice and they take really good care of you. The person who did my nails was really kind/considerate and asked me a lot of questions on how I'd like my nails done which was really nice! They offer refreshments like soda for free, and also give you gloves for the UV light as well as a heat pad for your hands in the beginning of your manicure which were both very nice touches! The best mani/pedi I've ever gotten in SF! My sister made reservations to treat me out for my birthday. They had a great selection of colors/brands to choose from (Essie, OPI, Deborah Lippmann, Zoya, Chanel..). I ended up going with a Deborah Lippmann teal/minty color on my hands with silver glitter on both ring fingers and white on my toes. Deborah Lippmann polish is definitely long lasting and doesn't chip easily which is one of the reasons why I like it. Rather than being in your typical mani/pedi machines, our feet were soaked in a metal bowl filled with leaves/roses. It felt a little weird at first because the leaves kept sticking to my feet.. Mason and (I'm not sure what her name was) were amazing. I loved how they made sure the sides of my nails were painted because most of the times, manicurists don't even bother to go over it and my nails always seem unfinished. They also did a great job removing my cuticles as I do like mine completely removed. But the best part was the warm mango lotion massage. It was warm and milky and they just poured it all over your arms and legs... it felt soooooo good. I swear they massaged me for like ten minutes and I wish it never stopped. This is definitely one of my favorite nail salons, but only something I'd go to for a special occasion as it is $55 for a regular mani/pedi. read more

Wow- I really loved this place the first time I went and this time was AWFUL. The woman who did my manicure, for an hour and 10 minutes, critiqued my nails the entire time. She complained about my cuticles, she complained about the length of my nails, she complained about a hang nail I had. THEN, she cut my hang nail and it started bleeding. She held my finger up and said, "this is your fault." I was so shocked. When she finally finished over an hour later, I was so disappointed and broken down. I mean, I came to have a relaxing manicure, and instead I just felt awful. Two of my fingers were injured, she never did any sort of moisturizer, and I left feeling annoyed and unsettled, with dry hands :(. I also had to watch the manager completely micro-manage some of the aestheticians. She stood behind one of them watching for over 5 minutes, telling her to hurry up. Not only was this unsettling for me, but the woman getting her nails done was SO upset. This treatment is not okay and to watch someone do this in front of the whole nail salon is disgusting. This visit really showed me another side to this place. I will never, ever come back here. read more
