Normally, I have great service. But if you get the 2 girls that work there and drive together, request another cab. They decided in the middle of the fare that were not gonna take me to my destination and dropped me off in the middle of the night 1:30am to walk up the street with my bags. No not use them!!! VERY UNRELIABLE!!! I have used them for a while in the AM trying to get to the train station to go to work. Sometimes you call them and it takes them 15-20 minutes to show up. Sometimes you call them and it takes 5 minutes. Most of the time it takes them 15-20 minutes to show up so to avoid being late I try calling them ahead of time. This last time I used them they showed up in 3 minutes. The driver started honking at least 4 times at 6:30am! Then the dispatcher called me and I asked them to please wait 5 minutes as I was trying to get ready. I go out and already the meter was at $5!!!! The driver said that "I was asked to keep the meter running". I try calling them ahead of time so I do not have to wait and for that I need to pay MORE! With them its either pay more or be late! Yellow Cab, you're supposed to be on the client's schedule, not the other way around!!!! read more

Beware of price gouging I called Milton cab, Quincy cab and Braintree cab in May 2011 to check the flat fare to Logan airport. All three of them quoted $35 plus $5.25 for tolls. On May 26 th I called Milton cab but a cab from Quincy cab arrived. This man, Mr.A.A drove to the airport at 70 mph. Upon reaching the airport I paid him $40.25. He demanded $5 more because he had done something which I did not understand. I think he was giving me bs. Also all three cab companies appear to be owned by the same company. read more

I just took a yellow cab to the airport, if you are planning to take a cab to logan airport, these company does not have a flat rate, if you don't want to spend $60 or more to get to the airport do not call them. Do yourself a favor and call somebody else that do have a flat rate. It would save you money. read more

Not about the cab service but the dispatch operator... In the less than 2 minute conversation she managed to be a condescending rude mean sarcastic bitchy person.. When I called back to cancel she hung up on me.. Isn't the point of having a company to gain customers and profit? I was very nice and polite on my end I am so confused ! Nasty Dispatch and Nasty Cab Driver, cab was falling apart. The Company certainly does not represent customer service.

I haven't even had the fine opportunity to ride in the cab, so this review is about customer service. I called about three hours in advance to request a ride to the airport. The dispatch guy is so short and curt that he can't even stop to just let me give him my address. He asks me where in Quincy I am located and I tell him by giving him a landmark. Then he asks if he is going to pick me up there because he doesn't see what that has to do with anything. I reminded him that he just asked me "where at in Quincy?" Then he pompously tells me he know exactly where I'm at in Quincy. Um, hello I haven't even said my address yet. So I just tell him I'll call someone else and he says "alright" and hangs up like it's no big deal. I'm on my way to catch a plane for a funeral and the one thing I can do without is some rude jerk who can't even complete a simple dispatch over the phone on a Sunday night without having an attitude. read more

This cab company is the worst. The first time I used it, the driver was rude and refused to accept credit card payment even though there was a credit card machine in the cab. Then, he told me that he was going to charge me for being 5 minutes late. Today, I just called for a cab, the rep was not only rude to me, he refused to provide me with service when I asked him questions about his company policy. I wanted to be informed of all the hidden charges. My advice is to never use this cab company. The employees are rude and do not value their customers! read more

The other cab company in Quincy did not show up to take me to the airport and I was running late, I called Quincy Cab and told them that I may miss my flight and asked them if they could send someone right away. 10 minutes later I was inside the cab and thanks to the driver knowing all short cuts, I made my flight. read more

If reviews could be written in negative numbers, that's what this horrendous cab company would get. As a woman I relay on good word cab companies; and I can say 100% I got the worst service possible. After calling ahead and having hopefully' a cab somewhat waiting for me after,' that was not the case. One hour later and the most miserably mean customer service I have ever received answers the the phone. In my frustration and 17 repeated redials, I asked not to be put on hold. I have taken this service three times while living in Quincy. Although the drivers are prompt, all three times, the cars smelled like smoke and body odor. The vehicles are dirty, the seats are soiled or something, and there has been trash in the back seat. One driver had cigarettes on the passenger side and he was using his Samsung smart phone while driving, and since there was a crack on his screen, he had to keep moving the phone to see what was displayed. Another driver, I am pretty sure showed up in his pajamas to pick me up, which was about 11am in the morning. I am actually washing my down jacket now, after getting out of the taxi today...gross! The website actually makes this company look nice, but in reality...it's so not! There is no customer service skills either. They just yell at the phone "taxi" when I have called. If I could give no stars I would! I had scheduled a can for 4:30 am to the airport and finally at 4:45 I called them back and they said the driver was there. Turns out he parked where I could not see him, turn the headlights off and went to sleep. The cab was also from a different company so once I got to the van I wasn't even sure if it was for me. The driver was extremely rude and upset that all I had was a credit card, which the website advertised they took. The whole way he yelled at me for being late and because I had a credit card he was going to miss his next appointment. I was tempted to have him drop me off on the side of the road, because he anger was starting to scare me. When we got to the airport I made an attempt to apologize because I was late, but only because I didn't know he was there, but he kept saying "I knew what I was doing the whole time" like I was late and had a credit card just to make him late. As he was pulling away he rolled down the window to keep yelling at me because apparently I shut his door to hard, when prior to that when leaving my house he said I didn't shut it hard enough. Great, on-time taxi to Logan airport from Quincy. The driver was on time, polite and professional without being overly chatty, asked me which route I would prefer to take and drove me safely to Logan during a wintry mix. I booked the taxi at 8pm for a next-day 6:30am pickup. Fare was $40 flat rate. Only thing holding them back from 5 stars - if you pay with a credit card, the driver has to call in your information. There is no in-cab credit card machine. Regardless, I will definitely use them again. read more

I had great service and the driver was extremely helpful and pleasant . The cab was clean and I would use them again.

Rude and worst service ever. As soon as the cab driver got to my house he started honking the horn repeatedly even though he saw me walking towards the cab. Well I'm sorry if I'm in crutches and it takes me an extra minute or two to walk to the cab. Anyways the ride was horrible. I had two children in the car going to school and this driver decided that it's a good idea to be driving fast and having road rage. I'm sorry but if you're in a rush then don't accept too many fares at a time. I don't want my nephew and niece who are in elementary school to be listening to you swearing and cursing at other drivers. It is very unacceptable and unprofessional of the taxi driver to use such foul language at other drivers while there are customers in the car and it is also rude when the customer tips you and you give attitude that I only tip you $5. $5 for a 8 minute trip is plenty. My fare only cost $10 so giving you $5 is generous considering how awful your service was. All in all, never taking this cab ever again. read more

I called the night before and requested a cab at 5:30am. Called at 5:00am and confirmed the 5:30am pickup time as we needed a ride to the airport. Taxi shows up 15 minutes later and by the time he showed up we were already in our über! Never using this service again!!! read more

Absolutely unacceptable. I'm sorry. I'm not rude. I simply called and said I needed a cab at Quincy Adams in about 6 minutes, destination 1.5 miles away. I was told to call back because a cab wouldn't wait at the station for me! The cab driver didn't even know my fare existed yet so how would the dispatcher know that they would even get there in time. When I called back to say i would be there in 2 minutes (aka Quincy center to Quincy Adams)... Again she yelled at me and told me to call back when I got there. I'm pretty sure that the whole point of taking a can is to expedite the entire travel process. Not wait for a driver once you get there. If I wait 6 minutes for a cab to show up, then drive four minutes to reach my destination... I've just spent ten minutes and about 12$ when I could walk it for free in about 13... Maybe I'm being ridiculous.. But it's a Tuesday and it's 1130 at night... I'm pretty sure your cab can wait. read more

Worst service I have ever had in regards to getting a cab. Called and was told someone was on the way.... Twenty minutes later called to check as to how long it would take and was told 12 minutes. Twenty minutes later I called again.....as I could have walked home in the time it took, and the man on the phone screamed at me and was extremely unprofessional. I have never put a review on yelp, but after this horrific experience I felt that I must warn others that this company is a joke. Yellow Cab used to be my go-to, but I will never use them again. I have two recent examples of their poor performance. The first was when they sent a cab with a flat tire to take me to Logan for an early flight. I heard something bumping and assumed it was some sort of suspension damage. The tire was going flat, and the driver was "trying to make it". It goes full flat on the highway, and he finally decided to give up. The next example had a driver miss my house by a block. He calls to say he's arrived. I ask him to come back to the actual address (aging parents. It's dark.). He just drives off. In both cases I called back the dispatcher asking for a manager. No response. I was not in favor of Uber/Lift, feeling that it's unfair to those who were properly licensed, but with crappy cars, bad service, and poor GPS, cabs like Yellow Cab Quincy don't deserve any business. read more

This morning i call Quincy cab, the dispatcher "Joe" told me that it was going to take 20 minutes...fine i said. 25 minutes later i called again and he said that it was going to take an additional 5 minutes...no more than that. When the time past and the cab didn't arrived i decided to call the next company on the Google list...for my surprise the same dispatcher answer my call...when i ask for a cab for the same address this unprofessional and nasty individual who unfortunately represent Quincy Cab, exploited whith insults, he ask me how many taxi companies i was calling, he said " you are trying to play whit me? At that point i explained to him that i waited for the time he said the cab was going to arrive plus and additional 7 minutes, I made the decision to call some one else, and that as a customer who had to be an a specific location at a specific time, i had all the rights to do so. He literally insult me and treated me to call his cab to cancel my pick up and he said that he was going to make sure that no cabs would it pick me up. Im sure this is not the first time this individual has acted this way. I have never left a review on Yelp but I had one of the worst experiences of my life and want to warn others. I was visiting Boston for the first time and spent a wonderful 4 days with my daughter. We called Quincy Cab the night before I was to leave to insure I made my 8 am flight back to the West Coast on time. I asked to be picked up at 6 am. At 5:40 I got a call that the driver was there so I hurried to get myself together and jumped in the cab about 10 minutes later. For the next 30 minutes I had serious misgivings about it. The driver kept mumbling unintelligibly - I thought he might have a headset on because he was clearly having a conversation with someone, but it wasn't me. Then he asked how I planned to pay for the ride and I told him I was going to use my card. He showed me a small card reader that he had in the front seat and said he would like me to use that one instead of the one in the back seat. He said the company charged him 10% and if I used his card reader, it would go directly to him and he would pass the savings on to me - charge me $35 for the 8 mile ride rather than $40. I told him I was uncomfortable doing that and he started getting mad at me. He told me "you don't know nothin'. He tried again a couple times to convince me to use it and each time I said no. I think he was hearing voices because he kept repeating things and telling himself to just keep going. Occasionally he would mutter something derogatory to me. I was never so scared in my life and wondered if that was going to be my last day on earth. He seemed very unstable. I seriously considered jumping out when we were stalled in traffic, but I didn't want to leave my bag in the back, so I just texted my daughter to act like I wasn't hearing him. At the end of the ride (thank God) he asked once again about using the card reader and when I firmly said I didn't want to , he said "well, I don't want to get up and go to work every morning, but that's just how it is." He grabbed the card reader from the back of the seat and said "Fine, I will do it your way!" After he rung up the $40.25 fee, he asked how much tip I wanted to put on there? 15%, 20% or other?? I said I didn't want to put any tip on there and he became irate and yelled "Why?? What did I do wrong?? I have never felt so uneasy in my life! I told him to just run it and give me my card back. After I got out and he gave me my suitcase he called me a name. I was so shaken when I got inside I could barely function. I called the company and told them what happened and they said they would have a talk with him and possibly the owner. Really??? I wonder if the owner ever heard about it. I would not recommend using this company unless this driver was dismissed. read more

I would give '0' stars if could! My family and I were going on a long awaited family trip, there are six of us. I called yellow cab twice to ensure a van would pick us up on 1/7/15 at 4 am. Sensing something was wrong I called them at 407 am on the 7th, I was told a cab would be there asap, I told the dispatcher I needed a van as I reserved he said ok but what showed up was a cab! We couldn't fit us let alone the luggage! I called the dispatcher again he told me he didn't have a van, I told him he should send me two cabs for the price of a van, he told me he didn't have the authority to do that, I asked for a manager to which he pointed out it was 4 am and there was not a manager! My 20 something daughter went on über and Wally was here in 10 minutes and we made our flight, no thanks to yellow cab! If the cab companies want folks to support them, they better get their customer service in order. I for one am done with cabs! read more
