My girlfriend of 10 years went here right after she has hit my car in a wheelchair, and owner Jen knew that she was coming days before she arrived. I'm a girl. From getting hit by the car and bumping her melon and flying 20 ft walking and landed on her teeth and blew out her pelvic..also has some memory problems now, so she just got out of her wheelchair into a walker and wanted to open a hairdo.He was to say her hair was almost down toward her butt. She paid for balayage numerous times at least three hundred dollars, other places and loved her hair. When she arrived her appointment that day. She didn't realize whose shop.it was long story short. The owner knew my girlfriend years prior and she hated her, because my girl is best friends with her husband maybe i've had her tattooed on his leg.I think that was never even with him. Moral of the story is they put a color correct around her hair at around 11? As I reassured my girl that the owner would never do anything like that. She wouldn't be that stupid, and it's been all these years. So while my girlfriend bought her employee, she gave employee up a month and now has her own shop. The rains to put the color corrector on my hair from noon til about 8pm and fried her hair it was fried so bad when rinsed they had to cut it all like a boy super short. While the worker laughed that well at least my Women can pull that off,and she laughed . Then they charged her $700 and my my girl has a hard time getting her done , and tries n tries to do it her self and not to mention it won't grow she uses expensive stuff from ulta and it's been about 3 or so years she still has a pixie if that. After everything is said and done, people called up there numerous times tell her I wanted her money back and that wish it wasn't right n she laughed and said that she wasn't the one that did her hair. It was her new employee.Just got her shop, so to go to her shop and take it up with her. Need less to say horrible horrible shop and experience, and tramatic. Im in from out of town and was desperately in need of a haircut, I thought I'd give this place a try because they had decent reviews. Unfortunately, I received a botched haircut from Gabby on Thursday as you can see from the attached photo the cut is not even at all and the cut is nothing like I asked for. I called and left a voicemail and explain the situation begging for help, hoping that somebody could help even up my haircut, and its been days without a retuned call. I would avoid coming here at all costs. Update: After multiple calls and no response I was finally contacted by the owner Jen who admitted after seeing the photo "i cant even believe they let you walk out the door like that" but then also told me the only way she would fix it is if i take down my review. Obviously i didn't take down my review, and will just eat the cost and go somewhere else to get my botched hair cut corrected and just wait a year or two for my length to grow back out. read more

Pictures don't lie. Pretty crazy how your own post on Snapchat, Support her claim. And "hairstyling 101" is one side should match the other unless the clientele requested an asymmetrical haircut! And lashing 101 is freshly installed lashed should not be falling out significantly within 24 hours! And professionalism 101 is that you don't call a client a ho for your fuck up! shame on you. My experience at this salon was unbelievable! I have short hair. I paid 186 dollars , for a color and a cut . Color was a disaster, my first clue should have been when the stylist used the word " neutralizer" when rinsing my hair. She only cut the back of my hair, no styling , no hair product, no spray. So I returned hoping that this would be rectified, I believe that second chances are important and I really needed my hair cut. Well I got a cut alright , so uneven it is ridiculous! came in today to see if i could get highlights she did a test strand for 10 minutes said no won't work it won't go any lighter you can only go darker ??said okay that's fine im still gonna get my eyebrows done. should've left after the hair incident theres still stray hairs all around my brows and chunks also missing in the front of one brow... most expensive eyebrow wax i've ever had but also probably the worst. i also went home and got my hair to a dark blonde/light brown on my own:) i'm not going to bash her name because she was a sweet girl just frustrated that i know she could've helped maybe a little more or suggested multiple sessions to get my hair lighter or spent more time making my eyebrows a little nicer. salon was nice and clean. i have another appointment here tomorrow w another lady for lashes! update: lashes turned out wonderful read more

The salon itself is really welcoming and conveniently located for anyone living near downtown. Amy Scherer Amy is patient and well equipped to cut toddler and preschoolers' hair! I decided to play hair roulette and won! I called around town this morning to see who had an opening and Quintessence was the only one. I unfortunately arrived late and without change for my parking meter. Despite my trouble, Hannah was patient and helpful. She changed up her routine to make sure I still got good service. She definitely knew what she was talking about and explained what she was doing while doing it. My hair looks great (axtually AMAZING) and I'm definitely excited to come back! I wanted to love this place because I love the owner, Jen, but when I had a not great experience with Amy, she pretty much accused me of lying and blamed it all on me. Instead of asking how she could make it right, she attacked me. She could have taken some responsibility (as I did for myself), but she chose not to. The salon is beautiful, and I wish I could leave a better review, however, you can't be in the service industry and be defensive and rude to clients. Now I'm out a lot of money and will have to pay someone else to make my hair look good. read more
