Indoors was great; they have cool AC for that hot day. Matthew who tended the bar also took care of us. He answered all our questions. Chicken and waffles were good. The chicken was crispy on the outside but tender in the inside. I enjoyed the pineapple upside down pancake. The sweetness was just right. The pancakes were fluffy and the pineapple was refreshing with cherries on top. Pork shoulder hash was good too. Enjoyed the food and experience here.

Bees and bugs were a little annoying but comes with the territory. Some fans on patio might help with that though. We ordered the chicken Cobb salad, the fish and chips and the ahi tuna plantain tostada. My mom loved her Cobb salad and my sister loved the fish and chips. I liked my order of tuna plantain tostadas for the flavor and creativity but the tuna wasn't the best cut because it had a lot of ligament in it which made it less appetizing unfortunately. Service was fast and friendly and it is handicap accessible for both inside and outside which was helpful for my mom but the chairs outside need some cushions. Parking lot fills up quick most days but there is street parking.

We sat inside and the feeling was great with lots of laughter and great music. Each table had an old style diner record player but we never got the chance to play tunes. The breakfast menu was expansive with lots of crab, salmon, shrimp and Italian sausage and ham added proteins. The avocado BLT was a fresh and flavorful choice for one of our table mates and another cleaned his plate with the enchilada eggs. There were so many great choices and combinations I was stumped. I fell back to the basics and went with poached, creamy grits and unbelievable thin sliced country ham. The kitchen seems small but they were powerful in managing the orders quickly. Wait service was attentive and patient. Love, love, love Millie's and the next time we are in town, driving through or nearby we are keeping Millie's on the list of great food, good prices and quick service.

Not gonna lie: first impression wasn't great. Run down strip malls aren't our thing, and then we discovered that Roz's is inside a pharmacy. But the "Yelpers" say it's awesome, so in we go. It's a small diner tucked to the left inside the front door of this wonderful ole-timey pharmacy. Seat yourself and order up. If you want to shop à la Cracker Barrel style, while you wait for your food, do it! Ms. Roz is doing her amazing cooking behind the counter. The food was delicious and the portions are so big, you can often share. We enjoyed our meal immensely and service was fast. There were 7 homemade cakes on the counter waiting for someone to order a slice! When you get to the east side of Richmond, come check out Roz's and then shop next door at the antique mall. Good times!!

I love coming here for a bite after antiquing next door. The Colonial Pharmacy has a small gift shop, toiletries, medicines, and home health care items. I gave 3 stars because the restroom was pretty gross... that hallway and bathroom needs a facelift!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Riverside Tavern on Forest Hill Avenue…read more I ordered the grilled salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus to go for $23.00. When I opened the container, I was shocked to find that the salmon portion was barely larger than my finger. It looked more like a sample than an entrée. I have attached photos because words alone don't adequately capture how small it was. What makes this even more frustrating is that I have ordered this exact meal before while dining in with my family, and the salmon portion I received then was easily three times larger. So this isn't a case of unrealistic expectations--I know what this dish normally looks like. I called the restaurant to express my concern, hoping they would make it right. Instead, the bartender responded with, "The portions are cut how they are cut," as if that somehow justified charging full price for such a tiny piece of fish. When I asked to speak with the owner, I was told, "You won't be talking to the owner. I'll just give him your information." There was no apology, no offer to replace the meal, no effort to address my concern--just complete indifference. If portions have been reduced, customers should be informed before paying premium prices. If this was simply an inconsistent serving, then quality control is seriously lacking. Either way, charging $23 for what amounts to a nugget of salmon is unacceptable. I used to enjoy Riverside Tavern and specifically ordered this meal because I had a good experience previously. Unfortunately, this visit--and especially the way my complaint was handled--has left me questioning whether I'll be back.
