Dillion was the second installer that we talked to and we were immediately impressed with him. He was very personable and very knowledgeable of his craft. He provided an estimate with a detailed explanation of the scope of work within 2 days after our first meeting. We chose Heartwood Custom Floors over the larger established and well known competitor that we first talked to. The flooring that we needed (ash and cherry) was a special order and was delivered within the timeline that Dillion had given us and the installation began on the day he scheduled. We were told by Dillion that his brother Eric would be doing the install and just like with Dillion we were immediately impressed with Eric. Our flooring needed to installed on a diagonal to coordinate with the rest of the 40 year old flooring in our house and it needed to be done within a cherry wood border. Diagonal install is more tedious and time consuming. Eric got right to work on the project and after many hours of hard work the new wood was perfectly installed. Eric was conscientious about the color of new wood looking as good as could be with the surrounding older floor and showed us 6 different stain possibilities, one of which was custom blended and was just right. Eric also refurbished a cherry border that was in our dining room without having to redo the rest of the floor in there. Our project was completely done within the timeline provided to us. We couldn't be happier with the final results. We would not hesitate to use Heartwood Custom Flooring again and highly recommend them.

I contracted Steve's Masonry Repair LLC to tuck point an 80yr old chimney with decaying mortor. I…read moreasked for the old mortar to be removed and new mortar be placed (tuck point). Steve quoted $1,000. His crew showed up and barely ground out the old mortar (going only a 1/2 inch deep before coating the seams with new mortar). I climbed on the roof and noted the shotty work. I called and texted Steve to discuss. He himself said mortar should be no less than 3/4" to 1". FYI, web says 2 to 3 times the width of a joint. Then Steve scolded his staff for telling me that they only did 1/2" (see photo of receipt). Steve was more upset that I knew the truth about the work they completed then he was about rectifying the job. He wanted me to call Champion (another local biz to confirm his story - i certainly wouldn't trust them either). He refused to adjust the bill and threatened to pull his team without them finishing. Don't trust this company! His team was also very condescending. I am very knowledgeable about construction. They lied to my face and were quite smug while doing so.

I get trying to upsell, but don't add things to the quote a customer actually doesn't need right at that moment if that's not what they're asking for! Bring it to their attention & let them know it's something that needs to be watched & eventually addressed, but not at this time. And give the quote for what 'is' needed instead of trying to scam them out of more money for whatever reason you may have; no moral, no values, need the work/money, etc.!?! The masonrys that I had come look over my place, I questioned them re: all these additionals & said 'both' companies were so honest & said the 'exact same things'; "the majority I didn't need & the rest could just be watched & done if/when the problem ever gets worse"! The one I ultimately chose for various reasons, went above and beyond what they were hired to do & my home looks beautiful again! So the moral of the story is, please get multiple quotes from companies, no matter how small of businesses you are choosing to go with! It's worth it in the end...!

The roofers came super early (6:30am) and were done by 3pm. They were good about cleaning and using the magnet to check the yard for nails. The gutter guys came out a few days later and did leave a bit of a mess behind but did a nice job. We're happy with our services.

When Doug came to inspect the roof and gutter installation and collect the balance, I signed another contract with his company! The roof and gutter experience was so great we've hired Evansen Builders to replace all the window trim and fascia. Since his roof and gutter bid was so great, we didn't even get a second estimate for this work. He offered to remove his boots as he went to investigate our leaking issues surrounding our chimney. He took thorough pictures and notes on the issues and encouraged me to reach out to the roofers we used over the summer. Just after he left, Luke sent me a quote including his detailed recommendations and pictures/video/observations. I felt respected, heard, and he not only quoted me, but offered to help me navigate next steps with the roofers who need to fix said problems. Because of his professionalism and kindness, I would absolutely recommend him to others and will keep this company in mind for any other needs. If our roofers refuse to complete the job and repair said issues, we will absolutely use QF&CS. I wish I would've had them do this originally!

Received their coupon for a cleaning and they showed up and "inspected" the chimney with a camera…read moreand then within 15 monutes were telling me i needed to spend $12,000 - $15,000 to "reline" the chimneys. Charged $704 and no cleaning. I was suspicious so i called our builder who recommended another company. As the other reviews on this page note, i was told by the 2nd company there was no damage and no need for any relining. To add insult to inury they tried to tell me that "relining" isnt as good as replacing the "whole chimney" for $35,000. The 2nd company said that there was no need for any repair but if there were, a relining was about $1,600. This is fraud. And if they say we aren't listed as a customer as apparently they do, I will post the invoice and the charge. Beware.

I ended up overpaying since I had my partner there the day of and our deposit didn't roll over but we got a discount for it being our first home? If I could go back I would have gone with the competitor but the floor looks ok now. We ended up going with a water-based oil which made the floors look nice. A small main floor was a 2-day project even though the morning of I was told it would be a 1 day project. The people of SNR were nice but the professionalism made the process unideal start to finish.
