The store I believed is owned by colored women, and I think it's the best part of the experience. To start, the name itself is super cute and catchy. The menu is written out on a chalk board on the wall and is very detailed. They offer a variety of specialty coffees alongside regular coffee. The customer service is refreshing and the notes on the coffee cups are a beautiful touch! I enjoyed the flavor combinations of the latte, I was sad I only got one drink if I'm being honest. Last but not least, the jams!!! The music choice is on point-throwback classics, and the best part: you can change the records yourself. They have a HUGE collection of albums to play and it's a great place to work and relax. Def would recommend as well as return!

A surprise message on top of my drink

On a day I had a lot going on. I took the day off work, I had travel plans, and I just wanted to enjoy the day. I saw that there was this coffee shop that opened not even a couple years ago when I was searching for coffee nearby. kind of a hole in the wall location unless you knew the area nearby. Parking needs some maneuvering as there's little street parking but its not impossible as the off streets have houses so it's atleast free to park. I walked in and immediately felt a pleasant vipe. They had signature drinks on a chalkboard along the wall across from the register. The people were nice and seemed like they were good friends working together or maybe they were just happy to work there. They took my order and it came out quick, I found a seat by the window and felt good about looking around the room. They had vinyls and a record player, if it had been a Saturday evening I would have asked to play something. It was that kind of vibe. My drink was a little pricey but it was a bit specialty. They wrote a kind of fortune cookie esque quote on my drink which was a nice surprise. One of those little things they do that leaves an impression as I sip my drink. Overall I will be coming back the next time I'm in the mood to return to a shop as I am currently on a journey to explore new coffee shops

    Banana Pudding Matcha

Got the banana pudding matcha. The matcha itself was okay, nothing too impressive. The banana pudding topping was really good, and they used fresh bananas, which honestly tasted better than I could have imagined. The parking situation outside is a bit annoying, but manageable.

Love the aesthetic inside and the baristas were super friendly. They wrote cute inspirational messages on the top on of our drinks :) I was so excited to get their special strawberry matcha drink but it didn't hit the mark for me. The strawberry syrup didn't blend well with the matcha. If I were to go back, I would get just the matcha.

Cute spot with decent parking on a weekend. I was looking for a place to get some work done but unfortunately the chairs weren't the big comfy kind you see on friends (still in search of that kind of coffee shop) I had the butter latte which was good ( should have kept the regular milk cuz sometimes almond milk takes away from the flavors in the coffee) but it was still good. Decided to sit outside and read to enjoy the coffee. Def a place i will visit again.

After seeing this place on tiktok, I knew I wanted to try it. The atmosphere was so welcoming. The music was perfect. Classic R&B not playing too loud but just loud enough to vibe out but still hear the people you are with. Immediately I felt welcomed. I got the Banana Pudding Matcha. I LOVED IT! I will have to go back and try more things. I do not love the parking situation but it is very worth it. I look forward to returning once the snow melts.

I got the chance to try this R&B themed coffee shop and it was great! When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked into the cutest shop. I was greeted by Saba and I ordered: Yumberry Butter Love Latte The Escape Good Days I loved the drinks a lot. My favorite was the Yumberry and Butter Love! I enjoyed my experience!

Okay so that app didn't lead me astray! Loved the vibe of this shop and the staff were super friendly and efficient. So many options and seasonal goodies. I live for a good quality, crafted beverage and this place checked all the boxes and then some.

R & Beans Coffee is where your aesthetically pleasing drink meets actual flavor. The specialty drinks, crème brûlée latte and lychee-ade, are not only Instagram worthy but also very good. These drinks are a bit of a splurge (about $10 each), but so worth it. The vibe is chill, the service is no frills, and the handwritten messages on the lids can possibly make your day. Note that seating is available; yet limited, and parking might take a minute.

Small place, but I really like the coffee/music vibe. The lady who helped us was pleasant and helpful. We tried the shaken gingy, D'Angelo, and banana pudding matcha. All three were delicious, but we agreed that our favorite was the banana pudding matcha. My 7 year old liked the brownie with sprinkles. This place is a little bit of a drive for us, but I'm already looking forward to coming back!

This place was definitely a surprise. The decor was cute definitely a cool chill spot to wait for your coffee, I wouldn't recommend trying to come chill. The baristas were extremely nice and helpful. They gave great suggestions and had patience with us while we tried to figure out what we wanted. We chose iced drinks because there unfortunately wasn't a lot of hot options and most drinks only came iced. My partner did the banana pudding matcha and I tried the crème brûlée. Both coffees were absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back.

Definitely worth stopping in! It's a welcoming vibe of music and delicious coffee. The staff was friendly during our visit. Our drinks were delicious! We opted for the Deangelo and the white chocolate raspberry latte. A staff member was writing words of encouragement on lids and I thought that was a really thoughtful touch. The only downside was limited seating so we took our drinks to go (beverage photos taken at home). I look forward to stopping in for more seasonal selections!

The lattes come with the sweetest handwritten messages. I needed this!

I'm not sure how R & Beans Coffee landed on my timeline, but I'm glad it did. I decided to take my mom on a coffee date recently and was so pleased! R&BC is located at the end of Avenel Street (across 1&9), by the train overpass, with off street parking. Everything has been executed to perfection. It is a very comfortable atmosphere (think about sitting in the living room with a friend). It's a cozy space, conducive to waiting for your beverage or working. A standard menu is on the board facing you as you walk in, the seasonal menu is on the board to the right. What's even nicer is the barista is super knowledgeable (it seems they play a major part in the formulation of the beverages), and is more than happy to go over the flavor profiles with you. This was so clutch for my mom who often gets overwhelmed when ordering. My mom LOVED her tea, especially due to the add-ins she would normally make at home (lemon juice/honey). I had the butter love (green matcha). Did.Not.Make.It.Home. Hands down the best matcha I've ever had. I can't wait to go back....today. Ps: the lattes come with the sweetest handwritten affirmations on the lid. It's the perfect personal touch!

The space clearly isn't big enough for what they're trying to do, and you can tell the kitchen staff is struggling in a makeshift setup. Everyone working there was very sweet and seemed to have good intentions, but it also felt like they're not being set up for success. We waited almost 15 minutes just to order and not because there was a long line. The staff just seemed completely overwhelmed and backed up. We ordered tiramisu and cookie butter lattes, and it took another 15 minutes to get them. When they finally came, both drinks tasted like milk and sugar. I genuinely think they forgot to add espresso. At that point, the place was so packed and chaotic that we didn't even bother saying anything, we just left and went across the street for bagels and coffee instead. Overall, it felt like a huge waste of time, money, and gas.

I really like that they had 3 boba options: Brown sugar, Strawberry, and Honey. On their website there seems to be even more but they weren't advertised so maybe they weren't available at the time. The other boba listed on their website are Taro, Black Sesame, Mango, Chrysanthemum, and OneZo Triple. What we ordered: - Passion Fruit Green Tea with Strawberry Boba - Taro Sesame Milk Tea I am a big fan of the strawberry boba and both drinks were pretty good. I would definitely return to try out other things. I noticed that they also have ice cream as well There is a parking lot but it shares it with the other businesses and the apartment complex so it was limited. We snuck in a spot for "future residents". Not sure how much it is monitored but we were fine even though our drinks took a particularly long time. I think there might have been some issues with the order before us. They did apologize for the delay.

To my surprise this shop is actually in an apartment complex. That's probably why it's a little out of the way and parking can be a concern as it's a private area. The spots near the shop all have signs on them so I am not sure if I was allowed to park there. By the register, I asked if it was okay to park there and they seemed unsure as well but said it should be fine to park and leave within the hour. It may designed in a way where you live in the complex and can just stop in without leaving the property which I have seen for a couple of these newer apartment buildings. The shop itself is fine, clean, small amount of seating. I think this may be the type of shop where I just pick up or get delivery from instead of bringing a big group to hang out for some bubble tea. I had ordered a Sesame milk tea. It was essentially a milk tea but sesame seeds were blended through it. It was gritty kinda like how red bean bobas are but not like sweet bean paste. It had that sesame seeds taste that you get from burger buns with sesame seeds on them. I wasn't sure what I was expecting but I can't say that's what it was. Maybe others like that as it's probably healthier than tapioca balls but I just was not into it. This shop online, prided itself on making their tapioca balls in house. I didn't get them cause I just wanted to try the shop and the balls were all $2+ add ons for whatever drinks I looked at. I didn't dislike coming here but I think if I come back I would order something else, probably something more flavorful
