I just wanted to give an update to the review I posted a few years ago, and provide tips for other customers in the area. I highly recommend people to get donuts and coffee from Frappe Joe's rather than Dunkin or Starbucks down the road. First of all, the baked goods are made fresh daily at Joe's rather than shipped in from a factory. You can taste the difference. Second, I've had way more positive customer service experiences at Joe's than the other two places combined. Third, they also have salads, wraps, and pitas. Try the falafel. When I ordered it, I got it in a wrap with greens, cucumbers, and tahini. I thought it great. The falafel had good spices and a crispy outside. It looked small, but I found it to be very filling. And it wasn't sloppy. I hate when you're eating a wrap and it disintegrates through your fingers. This held up well, even when I started eating it 15 mins later, so whoever crafted it knew what they were doing. I also think the price was good for what I got in return. The coffee is still great too. I wish more people would consider the quality and care that small businesses put into everything they do in order to compete with the corporate coffee shops. If they did, they'd realize how much better it all is at Frappe Joe's. And don't forget to tip, folks, since the customer service deserves it. read more

I love they include community and local food influencers and work with them to create drinks. The coffee is good BUT it's overly priced. It costed me $8 for an iced coffee. And extra for getting iced and $1.70 for cold foam - whaaattttt! That's insane. The donuts are $5 a donut. That's crazy! Loved the scones and the fact that the syrups are homemade. It taste great. But I can't afford the coffee everyday. read more

I was in the area visiting friends and needed something I could eat while I headed back on the road. This was highly rated so I decided to give it a try. Amazing! It's tucked away in the corner of a cute little shopping area. It's a small shop with a powerful culinary kick. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy and there was plenty of parking. The sandwich was absolutely delicious. Whatever the sauce is that they put on there. I could eat that with a spoon. I am a self appointed donut connoisseur, Sommelier, aficionado. Frappe Joe is very close to where I work, and I had it saved to try. So I finally decided to give it a try & I don't regret it at all. Service was amazing, the wonderful young lady gave me recommendations & was so patient in taking my order. Another gentleman was also generous, he made sure my food was great & even asked before I left. This makes me feel like they are on top of each & every customer ! Ambiance was nice and calm, have seatings inside & a nice comfy small couch. Also high chairs, so I sat there and ate. I had a cinnamon churro latter, it was so delicious & I love how I can taste the cinnamon & coffee together. It wasn't milky at all which I love because I want to able to taste my coffee. I also ordered a Jersey Joe toast, it had cream cheese with avocado, it was so good. The bagel was soft. I love how it had greens on the bagel, lemon pepper & chili powder. I had an amazing experience here, I would definitely come back for the winter menu because the drink menu tend to change every season. 10/10! read more

Stopped by Frappe Joe Coffee Roasters and tried the Samoas latte--it was delicious. It has the perfect hint of coconut without being overpowering at all. The wait time was a bit on the longer side, but they have ample seating and a great ambiance to relax in while you wait. Definitely a nice place to hang out and enjoy a great drink. read more

Well hello Joe!! I have heard great things about this place but never managed to stop in. I needed a place for a work meetup so I figured hey, why not try out Frappe Joe's. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! First off the food! Ordered a large mocha frappe and a chocolate cookie. The frappe was on point and the cookie...damn...like that was one good chocolate chip cookie. It was perfectly sweet and chewy and a great portion size. The overall vibe is great. Quiet, calm, and the staff is great. We were there till closing and they didn't mind at all. You've got free wifi, outlets, comfortable seating., and plenty of parking. There's even a few seats outside that we utilized after closing. It was definitely a productive environment and well...the sweet, decadent scent of coffee and baked good in the air did not hurt! We are pretty sure this is going to be a typical meeting spot moving forward and I'm just so excited to try out more of the menu! read more

(Excuse my nails lol) I was really happy this place had sugar free options and I decided on the skinny chocolate lavender latte and wow the flavor was so unique. You can really taste the lavender and it wasn't too sweet which is what I liked. I was interested in ordering a donut since they were house made, but the cashier recommended a croissant, most likely because there were no more fresh badges of donuts. We saw the reviews on this place and decided to try it ourselves. I must say the reviews were on point about how great this place was! I tried the cookie butter coffee with a maple chicken sausage sandwich on a multigrain croissant. The coffee was hot, tasty and flavorful. The multigrain croissant was absolutely delicious. I never had a multigrain croissant and it was surprisingly soft, flaky and baked to perfection. The cashier, who I believe was the owner helped us pick out some great options. How bold and brassy Frappe Joe is to serve fresh donuts in-house across from Dunkin Donuts! And what marvelous donuts they are! On the edge of Edison you'll find a small strip mall and that's where you'll find unassuming Frappe Joe. The moniker is also imagining, almost bland but the coffee and bakery offerings are anything but. The storefront is no frills and the entrance is clean and welcoming with outdoor seating. The walls chockful of a photographic mural share about coffee, farmers, harvesting, and history while a beautifully designed sandwich board tells you about The at terminal specials. This was unexpected as I had a doctors appointment and I didn't want support any large chains in the area. The staff are very friendly and informative, excited to tell you about donuts, specials, happy hour specials. I had a decaf espresso (ugh I hate that I'm now that guy) iced drink with some cinnamon and opted for three donuts: strawberry glaze, maple, and powdered with blueberry jam filling. How extraordinary -- every aspect of my treats were well executed from the yeasty donuts, all purely airy, puffy, to the sugar level of the glazes. Jam was blueberry forward and balanced a decadent donut. The coffee was delicious with enough balance of milk and not overly sweet, which is a standard Asian compliment. Iykyk. I came across this lovely cafe shop while I was searching for an organic coffee. It's located on a corner where a Starbucks used to be. I was greeted by a young friendly young man. I ordered a Saffron Chaiwallah Latte (they make their own chai). I was a little hesitant with the saffron but it was perfect and delicious. I also ordered an orange cranberry scone (also baked by them) which he warmed up for me and it was fantastic! They also have full breakfast and lunch with vegan and vegetarian items. Although it was a gloomy rainy day, the ambiance inside this shop was welcoming with gently jazz playing in the background. I found out that it's a family business and the young man who took my order was the owner's son. A young man that was accepted by Princeton University and excited to start this journey while still staying near his parents. If you want good authentic coffee & Mediterranean dishes, this is the place! I absolutely love the seasonal options for beverages as well! Their coffee is always amazing & great quality. The food is very flavorful & packed with the right spices. So far, I have tried quite a few seasonal coffee beverages & the machata latte were amazing! Love, love, love! Grab a friend and come to the happy hour at Frappe Joe's! This place has been on my "must-visit" for awhile and I am so happy I finally got to go! The staff - outstanding, everyone was so nice, gave great recommendations, and continuously checked up on us while in the café. The café is on the smaller side, so indoor seating is limited, but there is plenty of out door seating to make up for it. I only had the opportunity to try their coffee flight, but I have read many great things about their bakery. But i will be back to get another flight and sweet treats! My top two favorites from the coffee flight are the pistachio and the praline coffees. I feel like not many places can do these types of flavors justice in the coffee, but Frappe Joe does! Wow. That's the first thing I thought when I walked into this cafe! The interior was so cute and felt like home. The menu was insane too, there were so many options! I will say I was a bit overwhelmed with all the choices but once I saw the vegan options, I knew what I wanted. There was one employee who could tell it was our first time visiting so he helped us out with going over the most popular items they have. He even mentioned that if there was something we had in mind for food he could try his best to replicate it. After 10 minutes of reading the menus, my friends knew what they wanted. For coffee, we got the tiramisu latte, peanut butter latte, brown sugar latte, and the vanilla rose chai. All of the drinks were amazing! The coffee was perfect and none of the drinks were too sweet. The flavors were the spotlight of the drinks so my peanut butter latte tasted like I was drinking a Reese's! Moving on to the food, everything was amazing. We were able to get our food pretty quickly. I got the Purely Plants sandwich on an jalapeño cheddar bagel. I liked the marinade that they cooked the tofu with, it was a bit spiced but tasted like turmeric. I also really liked the sauces they put inside the sandwich as that enhanced the flavor of the tofu and cheese. The portions here are huge and reasonably priced. I believe everything was under $10! I don't know how I have not reviewed frappe Joe coffee, this is probably my wife's favorite coffee shop, and it is definitely one of my favorite coffee shops. First, their drinks are all really good, my go-to drink is the mango rose tea shaker which I typically order regularly. I've also had some other various lattes which I have always really liked. I default the t-shaker because I am a big tea drinker. They also have in-house made donuts. Some of our favorites are the American dream, but they also have some more Indian inspired donuts. Times, I don't think I can remember or pronounce the names but they don't always have them but when they do it is definitely worth trying. Additionally, I usually get my whole being coffee here. I prefer the light roast. It is also their espresso blend and I use in my espresso machine. Most places use an extremely dark roast for the espresso blend, which is kind of a misnomer. Through when making espresso I think their prices for their whole beans are very fair and they often will have a deal. Or if you buy two bags you get a little off. For two people I find it hard to go through that much and keep it fresh. I would rather prefer paying the premium and having fresher beans. However, if you are using it for more than two people, you may be able to go through that amount in the ideal window for using fresh beans. On all, if you're fairly local, you should definitely check this place out read more

I've been meaning to come here for years and I missed out. Everyone needs to go here. It's close to menlo mall right off parsonage. Plenty of parking. Owner is so friendly. Pumpkin snickerdoodle cold brew will cure any ailment you have. It'll fix anything. If you don't like fall it'll make you love fall. Perfectly flavored. I tried my friends halva latte - I was considered the flavor would be too mild and not distinguishable. It was perfect. Tasted like liquid halva - very honey forward. You definitely can't get this anywhere else. I had the bun fry with maple apple chicken sausage cheese and egg. Tastes like an upgraded breakfast sandwich in the best way. There's some seats inside. Spent over two hours there and was never rushed. Got a chocolate croissant to go - it looked fabulous. Can't wait to come back! read more

I've gotten everything from teas to coffees here and I've never not loved my drink. More than that, I've had the most delicious cookies, warm and tasty soups and fresh donuts here. Seriously, if you are looking for a great drink or tasty treat, or even a hearty lunch, I think you will successfully find it here. Some of my favorites have been the Maple Fall latte (or really anything from their seasonal menus) and the apple cookie. When I make coffee at home, all I want is hot black coffee, but when I go out, the kookier, sweater and more fun, the better. So I love a seasonal latte menu. The Maple Fall latte was just what I wanted and was the perfect caffeine and sweet tooth fix. Their sweets are also pretty incredible. The apple cookie was crunchy and delicious and I wish I took more than one home. I've also gotten their donuts and you can really taste how fresh they are. I've only ever had their lentil soup but I LOVED it. Now I know I need to try more from their lunch menu. You'll find plenty of parking, a few outdoor tables (if the weather allows) and a few tables inside. Definitely recommend trying Frappe Joe's out! read more

I tried this place before the pandemic started and had a great experience. I returned today and this visit was consistent with my first. The owner who I remember from my first visit is very knowledgeable, kind, attentive and welcoming. He knows what he is selling very well. He makes recommendations and he even was remembering the names of customers walking in who have been there previously. Today I tried the Spice Mill Latte with Oat milk to go along with the Global Toast. The Latte was great (the owner asked me to try it to ensure it was the way I liked it before I left... great service). The global toast was full of flavor from fresh ingredients. I definitely recommend Frappe Joe's. Oh and it's it's a very clean and cozy place with great music playing softly in the background. read more
