Since I respect his opinions I went in to their Eastgate Mall optometry inside Lenscrafters and really enjoyed my whole eye care experience. They were friendly and professional and after going through a painless eye exam I was given an overall outlook about the health of my eyes as well as getting some great advice on which eyeglasses would fit me best. They have a very nice clinic and the atmosphere there is great, really friendly and courteous. Their prices are reasonable and I got out with 2 pairs of eyeglasses instead of one. I recommend these optometrists, just like my friend, to anyone in the Cincinnati area.

This is a locally, independently operated business and that truly shows. From the moment I called to inquire about an appointment I was very impressed with the staff. The receptionists were so very helpful, and they even had me speak with a technician to troubleshoot how emergent my issue was. They got me an appointment in a timely manner. On the day of my visit every one in the practice was wonderful. I was very impressed with Dr Howard! He took a reasonable yet efficient amount of time and had great "bedside" manner. Wait time prior to appointment was also reasonable. Now that I have visited here I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Dr…read more Maryam Naqvi performed routine cataract surgery on my husband in May, 2025 at the Kenwood office. It was anything but routine, as she inserted another patient's lens into his eye, which was discovered during his 1week follow-up visit. She completed the replacement procedure for the wrong lens, but his cornea was scratched & iris torn during the process. A Midwest Eye Center Director performed emergency surgery later that day to avoid infection of the eye; and was under the Director's care for the next few weeks to monitor his eye healing. My husband is currently under care with different eye specialists as he slowly recovers. As Dr. Naqvi smiles confidently from the front cover of Cincinnati Magazine's 'Cincinnati Top Doctors' and on its pages. One has to wonder how she can be deemed "the best" having compromised her patient's well-being through a poorly mismanaged process of care.

The staff is less to be desired along with the service of providing quality eyewear as well. I got my yearly exam for my eyes and decided to try them out for my glasses (I have been wearing glasses since I have been 9 years old so this isn't my first rodeo with glasses). When I got my glasses back, I couldn't see out of them...literally. They told me to wear them over the weekend. I still couldn't see so I had to bring them back of course. The girl kept doing tests on me, asking me odd questions,etc. The lenses were wrong, period. She sent them back...weeks later..still no glasses (6 weeks combined). Excuse after excuse of why they couldn't get my glasses finished. It was the strangest thing I have ever been thru tbh. Finally I asked them to return my frames to go elsewhere. When I picked them up, there was unnecessary attitude from the staff. It was unprofessional to say the least. Nobody should be treated that way. I took my frames elsewhere and had them done in 5 business days (with my insurance because they said this was impossible).

At 6:30 I was called back for my exam. The first doctor came on screen and decided she wasn't going to conduct the exam because they didn't do a lensometry on my glasses, even though my primary correction is with contact lenses. The second doctor came on screen, 10 minutes later, and didn't care about the lensometry. My wife had an appointment for an eye exam at 5:30pm on 2/4/2026. She was finally called into the exam room at 6:50pm, only to come out 5 minutes later because all the doctors had signed out. You read that right; there was a patient in the queue and all the doctor's signed out of the system know there was a patient in the queue. Imagine if you went to a doctor's office, sat in the waiting room for them for over an hour only to have someone come out and tell you the doctor had already gone home for the day 10 minutes earlier, which is pretty much what happened here, only virtually. Their solution was to have my wife drive to the Mason location today, 2/5, for an exam as they didn't have any availability at the Eastgate location today. Never going back.
