I no longer work quite so close to Evendale, but I still make the yearly trek here to have my vision checked. Dr. Murray is an absolutely delightful person who does a great job making sure you will be able to see properly. Also, she either keeps super detailed notes or just has an amazing memory, because she will remember little details about you from visit to visit. That is not something I've found to be a common trait in many doctors. The place is a bit off the beaten path. But if you can find the light at the Wendy's on Reading in Evendale, that is where McSwain Drive is- across from the Wendy's, all the way up the hill, and then to the right. As a side note, I've also gotten some of the cutest glasses I've ever worn from them. Not only that, but whenever the awesome lady is who picks out frames for you to try (sadly I forget her name) has handed me a pair and said, "Oh, this would look cute on you." And sure enough, that was the pair I walked away purchasing. Usually I am stuck in an eye doctor's office for at least an hour, hemming and hawing over which frame to buy, but not here. And that has happened twice so far in the last 3 or 4 years I have been going here.

The door was left open, I could see staff members including Dr. Crawford walk past the exam room many times. At about 30 minutes of waiting, I decided to leave. As I approached the exam room door to leave, the Doctor who had walked past the door several times, suddenly appeared and entered the exam room. Never, while I waited did anyone check in to tell me the Dr. is running behind, etc. The quality of the exam was high. At the end, the Doctor pressed me hard to purchase frames from him right then and there. I had someplace to be. I left and came back to look at frames. I entered the frames area where there was one male working. Well, not really doing anything, just sitting. He glanced at me but said nothing. Apparently, he didn't see me remove my own classes and hold them in my hand as I browsed available frames. I walked past the employee a few times as I browsed. Not once did he offer assistance. Okay. After browsing for about 10 minutes, I walked away from the frames area and headed to the door to leave. Then suddenly, an elevated voice asked, "Are you going to pay for those?". It was the male employee. Pay for what I asked. He replied, "The frames in your hand". I asked, "what, these glasses, that I came in with?". His reply. "Oh, never mind". And that was that. Not another word from the employee. This is an odd place. The disdain that radiates from some of the employees for some of their customers is apparent. The staff clearly favors some of their customers, but not all of them. Would I go back or recommend this Doctor? Nope.

When I showed up for the appointment the doors were closed and they were not open that day. No one called to reschedule my appointment when their office days/hours changed! When I called to reschedule, the next available appointment was 6 months away. I booked it and the scheduler told me that if any appointments became available they would let me know. I received no calls for openings in 6 months. Today I showed up for my appointment (after getting confirmation emails and text messages). When I arrived, the ladies at the front desk informed me that there were no doctors in the office today. I told them which doctor I was supposed to see and they notified me the doctor has not been with them for over a month. I received no notifications or rescheduling efforts. I am BEYOND frustrated and will no longer step foot into a Clarkson Eyecare center.

I'm extremely frustrated and don't even want this glasses anymore as I could have ordered them anywhere else and have had them by now. The doctor here is great. This has nothing to do with the service he provides. They will dilate your eyes and tell you to go look at glasses. Makes sense but when you ask about prices they give you a look. Sorry I can't read a price after you guys just dilated my eyes. Realized they added extra stuff only due to the price being off. But again it's hard to read what they are doing because of your eyes being dilated. They told me it would be around 2 weeks for my glasses. It's now been over 3 weeks and will probably be at least 4 by the time I get them. Just as reference, my wife went to lenscrafters 5 days after me, got her first pair of glasses back, realized it was slightly off, had another appointment days later, and now has had her second pair for around a week now.
