I am a small property manager in Desert Hot Springs. I was helping out a non English speaking elderly in Hacienda Heights, where I have friends and family. The motor was bad, and needs replacing. To be efficient I went to the local Home Depot (Gale and Fullerton) purchased the motor and installation. Vickey Called me to schedule the install, and I let her know my limits due to time andlocation. We have had at least three conversations to best schedule, and save time: size of garage door, first for second route, the third I had to reschedule. Which is good for the property owner, it turned out she had homeowners insurance that was set up by her children. I was just going to return product and service. Vickie called me about a week since I cancelled the appointment, two or three days after I learned the fact she followed again. I have been a property manager for over a decade. I have worked with various Plumbers, Electricians, Contractors. I can honestly say that her customer service was extraordinary unparallel. I cannot recommend this company enough! My garage seal had deteriorated, allowing water and rodents inside. The great people at R&E got back to me quickly, looked at my photos, and gave me an estimate that couldn't be better. Not only did they replace my bottom seal, but they replaced the entire siding, the metal beam that had bent, and a broken hinge along with lubricating the mechanics and checking all springs. I highly recommend R & E for any garage door opener installations. My Genie garage door motor stopped working. I had a few technicians out to give estimates, but they both quoted me $500+ to either their Liftmaster garage door opener or my own garage door opener. The first guy didn't even look at the opener to see if it could be fixed as I was told he would do over the phone but instead tried to sell me his product. I mean, when it costs the same to install my opener that I purchased for about $200 vs. their opener, you know something's up. Anyway, R & E quoted my only $140 to install the opener of my choice. They were able to work around my schedule and got me in quickly. When the technicians arrived, they even recommended that I install the Chamberlain opener rather than the Genie, because of their own experience with both brands. The installation took less than 30 minutes (which included taking down the nonfunctional opener) and the installation of a support bracket on the garage door that the previous owner neglected to add (the old opener was attached directly to the door, which was not good for the door itself). They also made sure the door was aligned / balanced, and lubricating all of the moving parts (cables, rollers, and hinges). This was all complimentary and there was no extra charge for the service to the door. They also told me that they would replace up to three hinges/rollers at no extra charge if any are worn or stripped, but that wasn't needed this time. It was absolutely amazing how much care and effort the two technicians put into ensuring that installation was done correctly and everything was working perfectly. The door now opens and closes like a dream! Not only is the opener very quiet compared to my old one, but the door itself is much quieter as well (i.e. no slamming or squeaky parts). I still can't believe my luck in finding this company, especially after the run-around I was getting from other companies who were trying to ripe off and sell me their own product that wax probably inferior anyway to what I bought at Lowe's. Had a problem with the cable on one end of my rollup garage door. I attempted to resolve but after a few hours realized that I would have to call a professional. My wife was tasked with finding someone. She talked with Vicki who was very nice and accommodating with a scheduled appointment for the next day. She explained the service and said Raul would be by the next day at 8am-10am. Raul showed up about 9am, on time. Raul was wearing a mask and practiced social distancing. At this point I was thinking I was going to have to replace my 25 year old door. Raul looked at the door and clearly explained what it would take to fix the door. No new door was needed. I was in search for a new garage door and new opener back in March. My house is almost 40 years old and we had an old wooden garage door. The opener was an old Sears garage opener and it was off track but the motor still worked. I got estimates from 2 other companies but I chose R&E. I had a pleasant experience messaging Vicky she kept me in the loop with the process and answered all my questions. When Raul came for the estimate I was in the process of trying to clean out the garage but due to the springs being broken on the sides I could not open it. He helped me get it open and took measurements. My door had to be special ordered due to size. It took about 3 weeks to make. No worries it gave me time to clean the garage out so Raul could install it. I found a Chamberlain belt drive opener on sale at HD and Raul was able to install it for me along with the new door. I chose to get the basic level insulated door to keep noise out and keep it warm once winter comes. The pricing was fair since it was a special ordered door and his install only for the opener was fair also. The company he used to order the door from used really good quality parts. I would definitely use them again. I love my new door and new opener. I sent a general inquiry out for quotes to get my garage door fixed. The spring in my torque master broke. Everyone replied with prices to switch to a torsion system. R&E message saying that they are certified in this type of system. So I wanted quote for replacing both springs instead of one. They came back with a reasonable price, that would have worked about to be half the price of switching to a torsion. The guys shows up, on time, reason for 2 stars. He said that the quote is wrong and the price for this type of spring is now 360. He also stated I can't buy these online, they don't sell to public (wrong)you can cause I just did for under 100 for both springs. read more

I highly recommend R&E. I called Raul at 10am for a broken torsion spring on my roll up. He asked me a few questions so he can provide me an accurate estimate. I called a couple of other places and his pricing was the best so together with the great reviews it was no brainier. Raul got to my house within 2 hrs and started working. Once he arrived he explained in detail what he would be doing. He had trouble with a new part that was perhaps bent and he fixed it, but was not happy with the outcome. It's really rare when I do reviews but I had to do one for here! I had sent a message out to various companies and this one responded very fast (I did this late and night and was so surprised I got a response back.) I had accidentally backed into the garage door causing one of the rollers to pop out. After hours of trying to fix it we somehow made it even WORSE. They were nice enough to send someone out the next morning which was a plus because my moms car was stuck inside. Raul was so nice and even came earlier than we had expected. I thought I needed a whole bunch of things to be replaced, but they told me exactly what I needed and didn't need. They could easily have taken advantage and sold me a bunch of new stuff I didn't need. This company is honest and trustworthy. They also kept in regular contact with me to let me know about the status of the parts that were ordered. They reworked their schedule the day the parts came in so they could fit me in that same day.
