Met with Roberto twice and was delighted with his knowledge and pricing but then he really is not a good communicator. I sent multiple emails, text and voice messages in the past week with very little responses. And then when he did respond, he committed to come at 8am, emailed later that they were running behind and would be here by 10 am, and showed up just after 1 pm. The overall job was good but I had to call them to come get some branches they left behind. If it weren't for the lack of communication, I would have given them five stars. read more

Our neighbor hired them to remove a broken limb, that was over the property line. So we asked them to clean up the hazard. They waited over two weeks to get back to us. Over the phone we were quoted $650. for the job. We agreed to that. Later we received a bill for $1175. I called and called to talk to office people about the bill. Finally emailed them that they had overcharged us. Charged us for two services when we had agreed to just one. We received an email back, telling us that the 'TALKED TO OUR NEIGHBORS AND THEY SAID YOU HAVE TROUBLE PAYING YOUR BILLS.' how awful! rumor mongering. Never ever use these people. read more

Roberto & his crew were super fast & professional, very friendly, and on top of that competitively priced. They cut down a 70-80' pine in my front yard without causing any damage or excessive soiling of the area. They ground the stump as well as those of 2 large poplar stumps. Well I did not get an appropriate response from this firm. After my request for service, they took several days to get back to me. Then they proposed to be there that afternoon. I could not make that time and proposed another one the next day. I have not heard from them since. I really wanted to use a local firm out here in Gresham, but this made me realize that good courtesy was even more important. read more

I can't say enough good things about this company--so rare today that contractors deliver a reasonable estimate, show up on time, are knowledgeable, and deliver what they say they will and more. Last fall we hired them to cut down a 100-ft Douglas Fir in our yard that had died, sadly. They went out of their way to try to save the bee hive in the trunk, taking the time to call area beekeepers. They left our yard immaculate with all the wood taken away. Most recently I had Roberto do some stump grinding--again, super reasonable estimate and then charged me less because one of the stumps was in between rocks and difficult to grind--he still whittled it down to nothing. I originally had Roberto come out to give me a quote to have my trees and stumps removed. I went with another service to have the work done. I made a mistake as the company I went with never came back to remove the stumps. I called Roberto up and he came out and gave me a fair price for completing the work that was unfinished by the other company. His crew member that came out was polite and efficient at completely the work. My fence had to be taken apart and his crew member took extra care in putting it back in place. I have to say that these guys were amazing! They came as promised-right on time. We were able to have a flexible schedule because we were also putting up a fence. This team of guys took the trees out and chipped them right on the spot. Then they removed all of the stumps so we could plant again later. Best part was that when they left-it looked as though no one had even been there. Terrific! We will be excited to have them back when the fence is done to plant the new trees. read more

Checked out 5 different tree removal services in the SE Portland area. Most of them were quoting me between $1800 and $2800 for the removal. Called R & H Tree Service and was quoted $900 which included removing the four 50 foot alders in the backyard, grinding the stumps, and removal of all the wood. Now thats a great price. I was planning on watching them take it down but was distracted for the first 15 minutes. When I looked outside they had the whole thing down in 22 minutes. I would definitely recommend this service to anyone needing a tree removal for an affordable price. They are a bit difficult to get a hold of sometimes because I would assume they are very busy. read more
