The problem was that we had no control of the temperature in the two downstair zones. 10 months, 4 visits, and about $1800 in bills later, they finally found the problem: a clogged 10' copper fuel line. I could have replaced that line with PVC for about $10 dollars, yet Dent specifically itemized $500 for replacement of that line! When I asked in writing for a more detailed itemization of that item, the response was another invoice for the same amount + a late payment fee. Dent installed two furnaces in my house including the ducting throughout our 19th century home. We had worked with Terry Dent, son of Robert G., happily for 30 years. Terry's son, Justine, then took over the business and everything seems to have gone downhill from there.

I appreciated that. He & Bobby were at our home the following morning before 8:00am to install the new gas hot water heater. I had been told by another plumbing & heating company that I would need to have a new sewer line installed outside due to the terra cotta pipes slipping and trapping the toilet paper & waste. I had asked that company twice to give me an estimate but they never did. Randy used his camera to look and he showed me that I could wait a year. We also had 2 water pipes in our front yard that stuck out of the ground with grass all around them. Our house is very old and use to be a duplex which is why there are 2 water pipes. We could not mow over them. I asked Randy if the pipes could be lowered. He checked them then called the Williamsport Water Authority and told them of our situation. The following day 2 fellas from the Water Authority came and lowered the pipes and replaced one broken cap. We had also been told that we needed to have a new chimney installed. Since Randy is a Master Plumber he said that we did not need a new chimney because our furnace and gas hot water heater both have a power source that vents outside which is sufficient.
