He methodically approached my project with a vision that aligned with mine to increase curb appeal. He used product to first kill the yard. Several weeks later after the grass/weeds were lifeless, he mowed, then tilled multiple times to loosen up the old thatch layer. He applied top soil and installed zoysia plugs. Some additional work that he completed was the repair of sprinkler lines to ensure all areas of the yard had good overlapping coverage of watering. He revamped the planter area with some red cinder and installed edging that I selected from Home Depot made of hard rubberized material. Overall, I am thorougly pleased with the final product and would recommend Ernesto Yard Service to family and friends. Now read all my previous reviews and ask yourself if I lie. Nope. I don't do this to be popular. I do this because I like to frequent local businesses and I only hire Hawai'i Contractors. I found them via another app and they have an excellent rating so I submitted a quote request. They called me soon after I requested the service on Jan 13th and Kainoa came out the next morning to look over my job and provide a quote which I accepted. He said they work in Kailua on Thursdays so we scheduled for the following Thursday, Jan 20th (today). This morning I realized he didn't give me a time frame so I texted him at 11am and he said they had to "fit me in" but they would be here "for sure" "around lunch or a little after". He sits they would definitely call me before coming out. At 4pm they still weren't here but before I could contact him, he called me to say they were running late and wanted to reschedule me for tomorrow morning. Unfortunately, I won't be available tomorrow and didn't feel like having them come over to do work for the first time without me here. Can't comment on their level of work but being a pretty much "no show" and late call to follow up is no Bueno in my book. At least they called but just way too late to do me any good... just wasted my whole day.

This lack of reliability made it difficult to feel that our property was a priority. Additionally, the level of care provided was minimal, limited primarily to basic mowing and blowing. When we raised concerns about our grass not growing properly, there was little to no guidance or transparency on how to improve its condition. Due to these ongoing issues, we will not be using Regan's services again, as reliability and communication are essential to us.
