This shop is incredible! We were in town from out of state for the hamvention but my husband couldn't find what he needed, he googled this place up and we headed over. The two guys running the place at the time were so welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. My husband found exactly what he wanted and then some. Another cool thing, is they link to the manufacturer's web page for the item, and the manual for the item, and the eham.net review page for the item. I have never had a problem with them and since they have added texting for questions etc. it saves me a lot of time. They usually have my item in stock and when they don't it's a hot item a large amount of ham radio operators want. They are very friendly and polite on the phone at hamfests they are always busy but for the new guy no matter how busy they were at a hamfest all you have to do is grab their attention somehow and they will pull you away from the crowd and talk with you. i have seen this happen more than once. Good selection, good advice if you ask. Some of these guys seem to know their stuff, but be patient and ask for better explanation if you're not getting the info you need. They've had some good deals at Hamvention, and even lots of used equipment if you know what you want, but don't count on any guaranty on used stuff. Interesting variety of things to buy or just to look at. -- New hams should join nearby 'ham' club(s) for support or just objective opinion on different equipment. read more

These guys have amazing inventory. However as a new Ham it's tough to get any service in this place. If you don't know what you're talking about it's really intimidating to come into this place and try and buy something. I've been in the store like seven times every time with an intention of buying a radio, but I never can get anybody to explain features to me in a way that I don't feel like an idiot. It's The arrogance of the good old boys club, use this place to buy that spare antenna maybe a connector but do your research on your own, and go buy online. Too bad, this place really could be used to introduce people to amateur radio, unfortunately it's just like everythingif you're not in the club, you're out in the cold. It's always depressing to leave this place, I always go with the intention of buying a brand-new shiny radio, but I leave dejected because I end up just walking out with a book or a magazine and that's all. read more
