-- Extremely Disappointed and Frustrated…read more I rarely write reviews, but I feel a responsibility to warn other homeowners about my experience with Big George's Pool Care. After a detailed and explicit conversation with the owner about not cleaning the filters on the road (due to HOA rules and the mess it leaves behind for me and my neighbors), they completely disregarded my request and did it anyway. This was not only disrespectful but also a clear violation of our community guidelines--something I made very clear upfront. On top of that, my spa was clogged for over a month, which I had to constantly bring to their attention. The clog caused a severe calcium buildup that destroyed the look of my tile. Instead of taking accountability, the owner brushed it off with, "Calcium builds up over time," and said I would need to pay another companymore to remove it. That's not just poor service--it's negligent. I've lived in my home for 7 years and never had buildup like this. My previous pool service would catch early signs and make recommendations before it got out of hand. Big George's took no such proactive care. Now I'm left with a spa that's downright ugly and embarrassing, and frankly, I feel taken advantage of. What was supposed to be regular pool maintenance turned into a costly headache. This is not professional service. This is a warning to anyone considering Big George's Pool Care: look elsewhere unless you want to clean up after them--literally and financially.

In that time: * The heater has failed twice (and is currently not working again) * The chlorinator has been replaced * The pool lights have been replaced twice * The silver quartz finish already looks stained and bleached Maybe some of this is poor Hayward Industries equipment, but it's hard to know because the service tech changes constantly -- about every 6 weeks -- so there's zero accountability or continuity. This is a saltwater pool, yet instead of properly diagnosing or maintaining the chlorinator system, they routinely dump gallons of liquid chlorine into the pool every week. Actual "service" often feels limited to: * Emptying the leaf basket * Lightly brushing the pool * Adding chemicals And nearly everything beyond that becomes an extra charge: * Chemicals? Extra. * Filter cleaning? Extra. * Repairs? Extra. * Someone coming out because the system they maintain stopped working? Extra. Worse, many of the techs seemed unfamiliar with how the equipment even operates, making service calls frustrating and unproductive. What really bothered me was adding up the actual cost over three years. Once you include all the side charges, repair calls, chemical add-ons, and maintenance fees, the true cost is easily several times higher than the advertised "weekly service" price. The marketing and online reputation look polished, but our real-world experience has been expensive, inconsistent, and lacking accountability.

Their pricing is fair and honest, and we have never been disappointed with the quality of their service. Several of our neighbors have started using them as well after seeing the results, and everyone has been very happy. If you're looking for a reliable pool service, save yourself the time and frustration and have them come out for a quote. I think you'll find their pricing to be fair, affordable, and completely transparent. One thing I especially appreciate is that they don't leave your pool pump running for eight hours a day to make their job easier and increase your electricity bill. They do the job the right way and genuinely look out for their customers. I highly recommend Priority Pool Service to anyone looking for honest, dependable, high quality pool service.

They tried to rip me off with soliciting outrageous bids for maintenance claims. The pool ended up turning green and my tenant hired and an attorney to go after me when it was Tiger shocks negligence that caused all the issues I will attach the report from the new Pool company that documents this along with pictures I can't warn you enough to stay away from this unethical, shady and fraudulent company. THIS IS THE REPORT FROM THE NEW POOL COMPANY - 08/22/2025 Findings: Green Pool, algae growth throughout, pH and TDS levels dangerously high; valves set incorrectly, flow throughout the system not optimal for standard operations in Summer weather conditions, autofill shut off allowing the water level to drop below the skimmer line (pulls in air and shuts down system); all of which directly correlate to the condition of the pool with not recourse other than: Recommendations: Drain pool and spa, conduct a chlorine bath, filter cleaning and system inspection, add start-up chemicals upon pool/spa filling, calibrate the system. Note: the Tenant requested that we check for signs of a leak and/or structural damage at the pool light, as they suspected the area was the culprit of a leak. Upon inspection and calibration of the system it was discovered that the filter cartridges were compacted with debris and very heavy, indicative of a lack of maintenance. We also discovered that the Top Manifold of the filter unit (Pentair Clean & Clear) was broken and missing the retention spring. It was explained to the tenant that the lack of cartridge maintenance in conjunction with the broken manifold piece were direct contributors to the system running poorly. The tenant informed me that he "hired Tiger Shark in July to clean the filters", however, I don't feel they were cleaned properly, and whoever previously took apart the filter unit broke the Top Manifold and reconstructed the unit incorrectly. I've attached a picture of the filter cartridges and broken Top Manifold (top should have a large retention spring attached to it) for reference; it's my professional opinion that the Top Manifold was broken beyond repair, and that there's no way the cartridges were properly cleaned within 60-90 days of conducted services. It's my professional opinion that the pool was neglected throughout the year and improperly maintained. Based on our findings, I also feel that damage was caused to the system since our last visit to the property in 2024, and the condition of the pool when we saw it in August of this year was directly correlated with recent damage to the filter system and lack of proper maintenance.
