I asked him if he could do an oil change on my Ford. He gave me an appt. and serviced the car while I waited. Brought my SRT Challenger in for a vibration issue and a tire rotation. He diagnosed the vibration to be a bent wheel. His knowledge and the capabilities of his staff were beyond my expectations. They're all dedicated to their jobs and are customer conscientious. No paper work, no receipts, or warranty was given to me AS DISCUSSED BEFORE I PAID THEM FOR PARTS UP FRONT. They charged me for a more expensive transmission then showed up with the cheaper model hoping I wouldn't notice. He then lied again about it being out of stock. I confirmed this through the manufacturer. I ended up paying them for labor they didn't complete just to get them to leave and they still threw a fit. Completely unprofessional and dishonest!

I went in for transmission fluid change and general maintenance and mentioned that I didn't have air conditioning. After doing all requested work, they looked at the AC unit and told me that I needed to replace one small part, but they could only get it if I ordered the whole unit, which would have cost me around $500. Somehow they managed to machine the clutch (or some kind of mechanic magic) and make it work-- they didn't even charge me. I'm thankful they tried all they could because I would have died this summer without AC! I always go to Hometown Auto to fix my car and will continue to. Glad I found them!

Update! Kevin contacted me, via text after reading the…read morereview, asking that I take the review down and allow him an opportunity to come back out and look at the vehicle, free of charge. Kevin shared that he was at risk of losing his job and was a lead tech, although listed as the owner. 'Management' also contacted and asked that I take the review down and offered to refund the labor. At this point (2 days later) I had already taken the vehicle to the Toyota dealer, as his 'management' advised the vehicle was complex and initially declined looking at the vehicle without another charge. Toyota Diagnosis: improper fitting and installed spark plugs. Cost: 98$ inspection- which was deducted from repair cost. Repair cost total, including one day vehicle rental, 468.79$. I reached back out to Kevin and 'Management', via text and email, three consecutive days- excluding Sunday, explaining the outcome and requesting a partial refund (spark plugs, diagnosis, and labor). I have not received a response and am now seeking civil action. Receipts attached. Again, the purpose of this review is to bring awareness.

Once I had it towed to R&R towing, it turned out that it was only the CV axle. Not the transmission. They lied, and were willing to try and charge me $2000 for a repair that didn't need to be done. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
