Paul G I have been a customer since June 2019, and always trusted this business. My confidence has been shaken by a senseless attempt to fool me! Yesterday 12/3/25 I visited the shop to get a tire rotation and shortly after work began an employee came by the visitor's waiting room to report that my rear brakes were dangerously in need of new pads. He showed me an estimate for $192.30 to correct this problem and reminded me several times how dangerous this was and how a postponement could ruin the rotors, adding substantial additional costs. He was not aware the car had been in the Honda shop on 10/09 just 800 miles ago for service and received a clean bill of health on the rear brakes with 6MM of pad life remaining. His estimate claimed 1MM and 2MM for the left and right wheel. I told him I could not authorize the work right then. This morning, I took the car to Honda for an explanation and upon a thorough inspection, with documentation to substantiate, that the rear pads each had 6MM of life remaining on both the inside and outside of each wheel rotor. This is most disappointing and has destroyed my trust in this business. I suggest that customers seek second opinions on any work suggested there that exceeds $50 and never send an unescorted lady to seek work there. read more

I just had 4 tires installed by Roland and I'm very pleased. I got a quote on their website which was considerably better than tirerack.com even though the tirerack price did not include installation. I made an appointment and all was done promptly with no attempts to upsell after I asked that they inspect brakes. I went out of my way to do business with Roland because last month they sent a truck out to help my wife who had deflated a tire with a malfunctioning air machine at a gas station. They inflated her tire and did not charge her anything despite traveling 5 miles to assist her. Good people, fair prices, I'll definitely deal with them again. read more

On my way to work this morning my tire started leaking air. I headed over to Roland Tire to see if they could check it out for me. They were packed!! I could hardly find a parking space. I was sure they wouldn't have time. Immediately, one of the gentleman who work there checked my tire pressure and aired me up. I started to walk in to pay and another gentleman stopped me and said he didn't feel comfortable with me driving and they would investigate it as soon as possible. He asked if I could wait or offered to help find me a ride. I said I could wait. It took awhile, but they fixed my tire up. He said they didn't find damage but took it off and cleaned everything up. It was likely leaking from the rim. Didn't charge me a penny even though I asked if I could please pay something. They earned a customer for life today. read more

My sister had been doing business with Roland Tire @ 820 south Main Street location since 12-07-2018. on April 02,2022 I drove her vehicle to have Chuck inspect it for any issues I may encounter before driving it to Knoxvill,TN. My sister was very sick at the time and could not tell me last time oil was change. he did an oil change even though it had only been driven 857 miles prior to April 02, 2022. Well it makes me wonder how many other times he "claimed" he did it or actually did whether it needed it or not. Single ladies beware. read more

I can't tell you how many times they have worked on my wife's car but I can tell you that we have been completely satisfied each and every time. Chuck is always determined to make sure that we are happy with whatever we are paying for whether it is new tires or repair work. Had my oil changed. They didn't reset the oil change light. Rotated tires, hey aren't balanced correctly.

They did get the new tires balanced after a couple of tries. But the rebate never came through. Probably wont go back

We requested wheel balancing and alignment on our 2006 Yukon XL. They balanced the tires but said no alignment was needed. They could have charged us for an alignment and we would never have questioned them. Honesty is the reason we keep coming back. Good people! Also a 2000 van used rarely had a starting problem after sitting several days. Suggested gas repair was too expensive considering the age and value of the van. They suggested a starting procedure that works and thus am still driving the van. Again ... good people! read more

I was in an emergency situation with two horses in the trailer and a screw in one of the trailer tires. Being from out of town I didn't know where to go. I contacted the closest place I could find which was Discount tire only to go there and have them tell me they could not patch my tire today (even though I had just contacted me them and they told me to come by).I called Roland and they told me to come right over. There were a ton of customers there but -as soon as I walked in they told me that they knew I had a bad situation and they immediately helped me. They were quick, high-quality, and a great price. I will always remember what they did for us and hope that the locals know to use Roland anytime they need auto repair. read more

A close friend who doesn't know cars very well got totally ripped off. I would not reccomend them to anybody. There are huge holes in how much work they do, and how much they bill you for. They charged my friend 2.6 hours of labor for a 30 minute job. They were called out and played dumb and wanted us to believe that it actually takes 2.5 hours to change 4 spark plugs. My friend went in for an oil change and got taken advantage of instead. Beware!! read more

Took over an hour and a half for them to change my oil even though they weren't even busy. Then tried to convince me to change my rotors when it didn't need changing. Unfriendly service and the call for unnecessary work will keep me from going back. read more
