I continue to go here for Thomasin. She explained this location had different owners before, and was recently renovated and updated and now renamed with new owners, which were former employees of the previous business in the same location. So the crew here is not necessarily new to the local community. The location has free 2 hour street parking on Greenwood or you can park around the corner on the safe neighborhood side streets. The curb appeal, seating area and displays are fresh and you can tell they've been designed with intention. Clean, brands that hit the perfect price-point while being conscientious and super-high quality work and service. I hate giving away my best-kept secret and I simply can't ignore how exceptional Thomasin is. I love her online booking and personality - not to mention she's great at sugaring! I was brought to R&R for the first time because I'll follow Caroline basically anywhere at this point. She's the kind of stylist everyone needs. Kind, skilled, and always determined to accomplish what I'm thinking about. Plus I know she's thinking about how it will grow out/fade which is nice. From just a cut to balayage and all kinds of color work - she's an artist in and out of the salon. Also, I should let you all know that if you have curly or long hair and struggle to get a good cut from a stylist more than one time or whatever... I went through YEARS of cuts I didn't like until Caroline. My curls behave differently depending on the length and texture of my hair and she's SO SO good at working WITH my hair and not relying on how curly hair usually behaves. Summer is amazing! She's been cutting my hair (crazy thick Asian mane) for 10+ years - from asymmetrical bobs, to shaved sides, and now a natural long wave. Caroline is new to R&R and recently came from Seven Salon. She is AMAZING and has been my dedicated stylist for over 5 years now, and I will follow her wherever she goes. She is incredibly talented and got the best training from both Gary Manuel Aveda Institute and Seven Salon. She is personable, understands what you are wanting to do with your hair and is the one I trust to do my hair right. If you want a modest cut/color, she will do it right the FIRST time. If you're looking for a new look, and want to go bold, she has sooo many ideas that will work well with your skin color, style and hair needs. She does hair at fashion shows, festivals, special occasions and other venues outside of salons, so she has a lot of experience and fun ideas to help you branch out if that's what you're looking to do. I have been going to R&R now for 5 years and I have nothing but RAVE reviews. I had been seeing Anna for years (who nurtured my hair back to life after years of bad dye jobs and over processing). I have been getting great haircuts from Audrey for years but really like it now that she is at the R&R studio in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood. Parking is not hard and there are fun shops to browse going to and from my car. Audrey really understands all kinds of hair and has been great for my short hair.
