Javier called ahead, arrived exactly when he said he would, and delivered absolutely outstanding service. What really impressed me is that Javier originally had only one sewer ticket, but he took the time to rework it into two separate service tickets per HomeServe policy so that both problems could be properly handled and covered. That level of honesty and care is rare. I've lived at this address for over 50 years, and I can honestly say this was one of the best service experiences I've had. Javier was polite, communicative, patient, and extremely thorough. He even let me test all faucets at full blast to make sure everything was flowing properly before he left. The most horrifying nightmare! Homeserve hired RB Travis to replace my water shutoff valve. There were no leak prior to their work. The first guy didn't show up until 5pm, caused me to be without water for 8 hours til 1am. And caused a leak on my water main pipe. The second guy tried to made a repair but caused 2 more leaks. 3rd day they said they will come, I kept waiting for them and prepared to be many hours without water, they never came. 4th day they said they will come to fix but they never came. 5th day they come near end of day and said the parts store closed so they can't do the repair. They told me my water pressure is at 90psi and I need to install a PRV valve for $850, or else I violates building code and my interior plumbing will be damaged. I later found out I only had 60psi and PRV is not needed. He gave me the wrong information and try to sell me unnecessary repair. Everyday I made the appointment for 8am or 12 noon, everyday they either never showed up, or showed up around 5pm ish. Played me like a fool cause I can't shower or wash my cloth or many other things as I may get the water turned off for hours if they do show up. Almost 2 weeks pasted, I still have the leak! Everyday I tried calling them multiple times and request to speak to a manager about the disaster job. They never called me back! Look at the pipe pictures! They made about 15 pipe joint connections just to install a new water valve! How could it not leak? 15 joints! And dropped all these purple, blue, white glues/primer/sealant and silver weddings all over my driveway and garden rocks! read more

On Saturday afternoon we noticed our main water line valve was leaking. We called RB Travis and within 20 minutes Ernesto was at our door. He was knowledgeable when explaining the issue and how he was going to fix it. Ernesto was nice and respectful of the work area and replaced our valve to a much more modern valve. RB Travis was sent to our home through our warranty company. Their communications with us was great prior to the appointment. They sent an email and text to let us know that Bryan would be coming the following morning to service our home. We were experiencing plumbing problems which turned out not as small as we thought it would be, but Brian was professional, answered our questions/concerns (we had a bozo plumbing company come a few days prior and made the situation worse so we were nervous). He arrived on time completed the job faster than expected, used a 75' snake which pushed the roots out that were growing in the outside pipe. I would highly highly highly recommend RB Travis in particular Bryan who was absolutely wonderful. read more

RB Travis was the provider my Home Serve insurance provided. The sewer line kept backing up. They had been to my house several times this year and had still not solved the problem. The line would clear each time but eventually would back up again. They then hydro-flushed the mainline (no camera used). Afterwards we had mud coming up in the bathtub. I was told I didn't have coverage for the pipes under my house. Their dispatcher said they would send a camera down next time but didn't. This time when I called Home Serve on a Saturday morning I had to recall later in the day as I had not heard from RB Travis. By Sunday I called Home Serve for the 3rd time as nobody ever responded. It was then I found out Travis rejected the job. No explanation. I was mad. After charging me $375 to fix the tub after their last visit for the problem they caused from the hydroflush, which they didn't fix. Home Serve assigned a new provider which quickly solved the problem by running a camera and discovering a 3 ft section of collapsed pipe. 10 minutes on the phone and I still don't have a rough estimate of how much they'd charge me to replace a leaky gas valve. I was put on hold multiple times and about to up hang up because I couldn't take their advertisements while on hold anymore. No, I did not know "RB Travis opened their doors in 1993", I do not need a plumber subscription service and it is not trivia when you tell me that you can repipe a house in under four days. Eventually someone got back to me and read me a ridiculously high price out of a price book. $510 to replace a gas flex hose - which is not what I needed. The other licensed plumber I asked for a quote charges half and replaces the gas flex as part of the valve replacement for free. read more

We had a leak at our main valve from the street. We were told we'd have a plumber arrive between 8:30 and 9 on Monday as we were the first customer of the day. It was promised that the repair for the external line would be done while they tried to gather more information about the internal line, which had nothing to do with the repair. Then, they worked with the insurance company to deny the pipe repair, using a hypothesis and excuse with the internal line, which had nothing to do with the external line. After that, they tried to sell the replacement of the entire external water line for a more cost out of pocket, suggesting that the new line would be covered by insurance. However, the new line would actually be covered under the warranty. So, why should I still pay for insurance that refused to cover the original repair? This feels like a scam. read more

They did an excellent job of making emergency repairs to a leak in our main water valve leading into the house. Jacob came out early Monday morning and worked diligently to locate the source of the leak, requiring significant amount of digging. He was able to make the repair in order for us to have water service within a few hours. Since the leak resulted in some pretty wet soil, Jacob determine it would be best to allow the soil to dry a couple of days before back filling. He returned and did a fantastic job of refilling the hole and cleaning up the muddy residue left on the street. In addition, there were a couple of plants removed and he replaced them as well. I have Home Serve insurance and when I have a plumbing problem they always use R.B Travis to send to my home. I am very happy with them and would use them even if I didn't have Home Serve! They go above and beyond to fix and inspect whatever the problem might be. In the office, Mark is so helpful and compassionate about taking care of an issue as soon as possible and making me feel like "someone cares" about my situation. This week I was super impressed with Richie (and helper) and Victor, as they really did everything possible to get my plumbing fixed. (Remember it's illegal in California to smoke marijuana in public or in a car) * * THIS MAN WAS HIGH & CLEARLY NOT ON POINT! * * When I called the office to express my concerns, the owner didn't care nor apologized for the unprofessional demeanor! They ended up breaking up the concrete in the backyard to remedy the problem and did the absolute worst concrete patch job I've ever seen! Literally a joke! I could have done better with a bag of quikcrete! You can still see the saw marks! No attempt to even smooth, mix or fill in the gaps. I've had RB Travis out to my 1940's Gregory Gardens home so many times that I had to start keeping track of it all. From sewer clean outs, to bubbling toilets, to leaks in pipes in the wall, to installing a new water heater, they've done it all professionally and skillfully. They respond very quickly to the calls I place to HomeServe (extra interior plumbing and exterior sewage coverage that I buy from my water company). HomeServe gives multiple local plumbing contractors the information when a covered party calls, but 100% of the time it has been RB Travis that has called me back first (always within the hour, and often so fast that I've barely hung up with HomeServe!). I've had RBT technicians Nico, Carl, Hamsa among others, and all have done this difficult job with great attitudes and great skill. They even put booties on when coming in the house, and they don't complain about dragging 150 lb lines in and out of their trucks (side note, they'd really benefit from a ramp of some kind - I worry about their backs). Today I had a real mess - sewage in both bathtubs, toilets not flushing right, sewer water coming out the trap near the front door. A big, gross blow out.... As always, they came when they said they would. Initially Hamsa cleaned the exterior sewer line all the way out to 80 feet (twice), but it didn't clear. He gave me the choice of taking off the front toilet and snaking through there, or trying a side clean out in the master bedroom. It was after 5 pm and Hamsa had been working since 6 am, but he was still willing to keep at it until the problem was solved. He was very patient with frequent calls coming in from both his company and HomeServe, all the while with me asking him questions. Homeserve was having technical issues, and Eve from RBT was extremely kind when she straight up took care of a situation for me rather than have me on the phone trying to reach HomeServe all night. It was SUPER generous of her, and it confirmed for me why l ALWAYS call RB Travis first when I have any plumbing needs!! Wow Eve, you made my week!! My tenant called and scheduled an appointment with this company. They came out on Monday November 20th. There were multiple clogged drains at my property. They performed a hydro jet cleaning for a min of 3 hours for $1250. Five days later the drains are clogged again. My tenant called to get assistance. The person that answered the phone stated they were away from their desk and would call back. We are still waiting. I understand that it is thanksgiving week. However, we are in need. The person could at least be honest and not leave us hanging. We are reaching out to other businesses for assistance. I am pretty disappointed considering how expensive it was. read more
