We brought a group of 34 for a MLB game (WhiteSox vs Cubs) Sunday 8/29. Outstanding service by our dedicated servers. All food arrived hot, thanks to their great food runner. Drink orders were filled quickly and accurately. Private area for us, a screened porch, had multiple TV's so all could see the game. All thought the food, Sports Bar - type food, was really good. Would highly recommend for a mid-size group outing. And the food's good for a casual dinner too! read more

Absolutely appalling customer service. The bartender with curly hair cuts off my mother on Sunday during a football game, so I kindly and politely ask her not to do it again so I don't have to deal with the drama of my mother causing a scene and refusing to tip her. So she decides to tell me at a later date when I'm taking a coworker out for drinks, that "the next time I tell her how to do her job, will be the last time I'm served there", after being a reliable patron who tips 50% to my server for YEARS- as if she has the authority to even deny me service at ANY establishment. Don't come here if you want good drinks, poured by servers who don't think you owe them your hard earned money. Will not be returning. read more

This is a great place for watching football games. The bar gets packed really quickly though bc those are the best seats when you're watching more than one game. They have TVs and the sound is on so you can actually hear what's happening. Many restaurants around here mute the games and have music playing, thank God this isn't one of those lol. The food here is great for a bar and grill type place and they have good drink specials. Service was great and everyone was really nice. The crowd here is great. First real "bar" we've found since we' moved to Bluffton. Great vibe, lots of TVs, great service. People actually knew each other--rare find in a tourist area. We had French onion soup , wings, and pork bbq sandwich--all very good. We'll be back! read more

Once again our quest for a decent beef sandwich in Beaufort County has been squashed. Our server Brittany was great, but the food was not. The French Onion soup was a salt lick complete with a scary sized layer of cheese. The famous Buffalo NY beef on Weck sandwich can stay in the NE frankly if this is the best they can do. Though the beef was shaved it was dry and completely over seasoned. The au jus was nothing but a bowl of sodium in liquid form. The roll was spongy and not a good partner to the gravy dipped wet protein. The hand cut fries had promise but,sadly, arrived limp and soggy. Take a note from the Italian beef stands in Chicago. Roast the beef until rare. Once cooled and firm, slice or shave as thin as possible. When ready to serve, dip beef in warm au jus (not simmering or boiling). This will slowly cook the meat further without compromising the texture or tenderness of the meat. I guess there is a reason I keep making this at home. read more

I'm not sure if the girls at the bar were having a bad night or they didn't want to come and greet me and see if I needed anything due to my skin color but not ONE came up to see if I needed ANYTHING! mind you I had already paid I was just waiting on the food cause the guy said they were really busy and the kitchen was a little backed up which was 100% understandable but when I came in the ladies looked right at me multiple times and I even tried getting there attention a couple times as they walked by just to ask how much longer but not one stopped and checked on me. R Bar strives to be and I believe has accomplished being a Hometown bar. They are a Buffalo Bill's bar but don't hold that against them.They have an excellent waitstaff and I have never eaten anything here that I did not like. After you go a few times you start to get a feel for the locals who are diehard fans of this local establishment. The owners have a great connection with their customers and the staff appear to really enjoy working here. The R Bar is hands down the best bar in Bluffton. Good bar food, great happy hour, and some of the most genuinely nice owners i've ever had the pleasure of meeting. They have plenty of TVs to watch sports, live entertainment at night, and a great outdoor patio. If you're one of those crazy people who like food challenges, you've gotta try "The Nasty" challenge. Food is pretty boring and staff is horribly rude. Bad service and risky during COVID 19. No social distancing or masks and was packed.

R Bar is quickly turning into my wife and I chill spot. Staff is super friendly, the cook was accommodating with my somewhat complicated order. Food was good and priced well. I took a side salad with my burger to go so I could have it for lunch the next day. The small box was jammed full of fresh mixed greens skinless cucumber and Roma tomatoes. We came specifically to watch the Buffalo Bills game while vacationing in Hilton Head. It's a great atmosphere with many TVs and the crowd was a lot of fun. great sports bar. plenty of TVs with all the NFL games. extensive menu. fresh food prepared without freezing. Burgers are excellent. the one with chicken and blue cheese on top was so tasty I took some fries home so I could finish the half pound burger. the wait staff was super attentive and bussed the table after the appetizer so we didnt have to sit with all the dirty plates. A little hard to find but well worth it, we stopped in off of some of the other yelp reviews, and are glad we did. Had six of their Atomic Samurai wing and regretted not getting more, these were outstanding. Being from the Tampa Bay Area, we had to try their version of a Cuban sandwich. Not a Tampa Cuban and not a Cuban in the traditional sense, but none the less and great sandwich. I can see myself ordering one if these for breakfast And/or a late night food craving. The only thing that was a little disappointing was that our French Fries were not all that crispy and could have been cooked a little longer. The bartender who took care of it's was very nice and the place itself was very open and clean, with lots if tv's to watch. Great place to watch football, Sunday is $2 bud lights and $3 well drinks. Food is pretty damn good and excellent service.

Went Friday night with friends, food was very good and plenty of it. Drinks were a deal (Happy Hour) and several screens around to view sports. Went here today for the first time in 2 years. Bartender Brandon? immeditately yells at me to leave and says I was here just a few days ago. I have not been to this place in over 2 years and tried to explain that to this bartender. He appeared to be high on drugs and paranoid. I wanted to call the cops and report harrasement. I am a veteran of the armed forces and do not even live here. I wanted to demand tape of me being here a few days ago and ask for witnesses.
