First time stopping by this grill/bar. It was around lunchtime on a weekday. It was empty, so we were seated right away. They have a huge U-shaped bar with tables at one end and the kitchen at the other. It was clean, yet it had the look of a dive spot. The bathrooms were spotless. We ordered a mushroom Swiss burger ,$10 nothing came as a side. Fries $4, not a lot of them in the order, but ok for a lunch serving and the cheesesteak sub,around $11. Oh, and a very tastie Irish Coffee $7. Everything was cooked to our desired temp. The burger seemed like it could use more salt and pepper, but it was OK. The shining star was the Coffee. We will go back to try other food but not a stop we would go out of our way to go there. I'd rate it average but OK. read more

What an awesome and chill spot to come to! The people here are so cool, the staff as well as the patrons. Service was good, food was good and not too bad on the price. Best of all they loved my service dog and treated him as just another customer... that got special attention lol. They even provided him with water. An added plus was the night I went on they were doing country music karaoke which was awesome. Yes definitely give this place a try if you're wondering about going there. read more

Nice small dive bar, burger was pretty good and fries were fresh. I would recommend for a quick lunch - mid afternoon place to visit.

We are moving to Delaware from the Baltimore area and have been continuously impressed with the number of dive bars and diners that have great cooks. This is another one we really like. We go for lunch and the specials have been mind blowing: both for quality and price. (Where else have you been able to get a great burger in this century for 5 bucks?) We had one of the best broccoli/cheddar soups there-truly a triumph from a talented cook. The other thing we have noticed in our move is how friendly and welcoming people are here and this was no exception. Service on our visits has been very attentive and one of our waitresses told us all of the places we should try (where else would you get such honesty to recommend other good restaurants?) If you dont mind flys dancing around the tables and just okay food. THIS PLACE IS 4 U ! The corn bread was great, the bathrooms clean. The so called prime rib was like rubber. I went here for my first time to Thursday night karaoke with Tim the Tune Man and he is great as always. I have been to the restaurant one other time previously and everything we ordered was good. I had the fish tacos and they were basic but had good flavor. Our appetizers were good, the fried green beans are definitely a hit with their "dot sauce". But the night we attended karaoke they were on their late night menu which was very limited and the first thing I noticed was that there were really no specials, they had a couple different entrees and the rest were appetizers which I could pretty much expect. The second thing I noticed was the prices. They were $$$$ for what you get. I consider myself a wing aficionado and I will tell you I pretty much will try wings everywhere I go and I have never ever paid $9.00 for (6) wings anywhere I have ever eaten. That is outrageous!!! Further they were some pretty small wings too. They tasted good, their hot sauce was god but not $9.00 good. Between the appetizer I got and the appetizer and shrimp special my wife got were got out of there for around $32 and some change not including tip. My recommendation would to actually have some cheaper specials on the late night menu. I mean people are coming out on a weeknight and it is already minds late when karaoke starts. I don't feel they cater to their customers in that way. I would give this a 5 star rating if it weren't for price and inconsistencies with when the late night menu goes into effect. We had been wanting to try this place for a long time. We've heard good things about their food. We went in and sat down. The woman waiting on us was great. We looked over the specials and decided to get the crab dip appetizer ($16). All it was was a chopped up crab cake served on half a sub roll as garlic bread. My husband ordered the cheesesteak sub with lettuce, tomato, mayo and extra fried onions ($9). The server said it comes with lettuce and tomato. I ordered the 12 ounce New York strip ($17). The server brought our food out along with ONE soda refill for us to split. We couldn't have been more dissatisfied. Half the cheesesteak didn't have steak in it. There were no onions, tomato or lettuce. My steak was so tough I couldn't swallow it. Overall, I recommend that you not patronize this restaurant. read more

Always good food! Prime rib is good. Shrimp appetizer is better then most places main course. Best deal is there burgers. A couple of times had issues but went out of there wAy to fix. read more

This is the definition of a hole in the wall. You would think this is just your typical bar and grill, but they know what they're doing. Menu offers variety with something for everyone. Had a great salmon salad with fresh salmon and greens. Definitely recommend checking this place out! read more

My wife and I live nearby the R&R grill, and hadn't ever been there. One evening we decided we would like to go and listen to some music and decided to go. We were a little unsure what to expect, but went anyway. Boy, were we surprised it was a great place, nothing fancy but the food was delicious. You would not expect that you would get such greatly prepared food from a place that looks like just a little small-town bar. We go back to the grill now at least once a month, and they are very friendly. A must go and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed. read more

My wife and I ate here last Saturday for dinner, i ordered the new york strip and my wife had the fish tacos. Both dishes were a complete letdown. What i got looked like a fatty piece of prime rib and was way overcooked. Both dishes were very bland and the service was terrible as well. If I could rate this zero stars, I would. We walk in at 6:30ish on a Saturday... and the place is empty (with a mild funk). This should have been clue number one, but whatever, sometimes I like to prance through a whole garden of red flags. My family was all going there together... and yet we had to sit at separate tables. I get it, sometimes you don't have the capacity for large groups... but a table of 7 should have been able to be put together. There wasn't even an offer to push a couple tables together. But again... whatever. It's not that big of a deal. The next thing I notice is the plethora of filthy, crumpled dollar bills pinned to the CEILING above the bar. My grandmother asks the waitress WHY!? And she says "That's our curse jar." You know... that's funny, maybe even endearing. If these stripper singles were not pinned to the CEILING above the BAR SURFACE where food and drinks are served. Shudder. Gag. Existential dread sets in. Appetizers come out... and they are wrong. Waitress takes them away... and brings back the right ones that are mediocre at best. Either way, she pretty much set 20$ on fire because she put in the wrong order. I get it, it happens. And I actually wouldn't put it past this hole to just serve them up to someone else after reheating them.. Gross. This place says it is a BAR AND GRILL. So I order a steak. Same thing as my dad. They bring out this 10oz ribeye... and it is easily 6oz of fat. JUST fat. Huge hunks of fat. Didn't even cook down fat. FAT. I expected some fat, some marbling. It's a Ribeye. I'm not a moron. But more of this steak was pure fat than it was meat. I'd have been horrified if a cut like that ever made it to a customer! My dad's steak is fatty, but not as much. My fiance orders a quesadilla... can't mess that up, right? RIGHT!? They brought him 2 mealy chicken tacos (also full of fat!!!) and there was about a nickel sized amount of cheese on ONE of the "quesadillas." The guacamole was slimy and runny, the lettuce was wilted. Gross... He didn't eat it and insisted his stomach was just feeling off. From the one bite he took... I WONDER WHY!? My grandmother's fries were WET. The beers were piss warm... And when any of this was brought to the attention of our inattentive waitress (who made a point to tell us she was 27, despite how young she looks)... she just looked awkwardly and shuffled about. No offer to make it right, nothing. No manager to be found. You know what... at 27, you should know how to handle something like this. This is day one of waitress training. And, just to note, we still tipped her well. You actually couldn't pay me to crawl back into this dingy, mildew riddled hole of a "restaurant." Eating Taco Bell off of the sidewalk probably would have been more satisfying. Actually, I'm pretty sure I have sat on a curb and eating street truck meat with less revolting fat... OH AND DID i MENTION THE FLIES!? FLIES EVERYWHERE! All over the food, all over the table, all over EVERYTHING! The bathroom was apparently FULL OF THEM, but I just held it until I got home for fear of what atrocity existed within the walls of that ladies room. read more

We went to R&R last night for dinner. The waitress was Debbie. She just might be the best in the business. She was pleasant and engaging. She made suggestions for dinner. You can't go wrong with her suggestions. Our dinner arrived fast. It was amazing. We will definitely go back. Don't let the building fool ya. My family likes this place, and wanted to take me there for dinner upon my return home from college. Called up to see if they had any vegan/vegetarian options, and the woman responded to me as if I was offending her by asking. Answer: They do not have any vegetarian/vegan options. Aside from the rough crowd, this place is actually a cool local spot. The food is amazing. The corn pone is free when requested and they have the best steamed shrimp anywhere around. Midday night is half price chicken cheese steak day so for 3.50 you can get a great meal. It's shocking I know but give it a chance. They could use a margarita machine though lol read more
