We had an amazing experience here on a weekday in September 2020, after a short fire evacuation from our new present living paradise in G-ville, from a long haul evacuation from New York City. R3 has wonderfully thought out everything for a great get-a-way experience or staycation holiday - well planed and renovated rooms, entertainment space (when permitting) , amazing pool, great restaurant, Spaghetti Betty's, and did I mention a beautiful pool - the biggest draw, and most of all above all, the most terrific, accommodating staff. Thank you Louis and co for your hospitality, for being there after a long day or week, still with embracing arms to welcome back regular guests, or meeting new friends. We truly appreciate you, and the extent of your protocol on cleanliness, and following local and official c19 prescribed guidelines. We love the little gem we found today ! Well done !

I have never seen a more unprofessional cancellation email. There was no apology, explanation, or mention of a refund. To me, it was joke that this even happened, because even the most inexperienced PR team can put together a better email than this. This is not how any service provider should communicate with its clients. If they don't feel embarrassed and remorseful for sending this kind of email, then that adds insult to injury. And this is not just me! I represent the many people whose trips got turned upside down because of this. Now that this hotel is not available, booking another place for lodging will be quite expensive... Mark my word that this review and the email will appear on other rating websites :) Pay attention, R3 Hotel! :)

We didn't know this place existed till we spent a really fun Fifth of July here, at a very queer-friendly pool party. We'll be back!

Terrible business. Canceled my reservation 4 weeks before and after it was too late to book anywhere else in Guerneville.

Ask the Community - R3 Hotel

Can you use the pool if you are not staying at the hotel? If so, is there a charge and how much?

Yes, you can! There sometimes on weekends are cover charge for special events. Check our website, Facebook or Instagram for details. Please note our property is 21 and over only.… Read more

    Is the pool clothing optional?

It's not because they sell Alcohol. But ones the bar closes at night no one is there and it's all fair game. You can also try the one next door, that Resort does not have a bar so you are able to do what ever you want.

    What are their hours?

It's a hotel so it's open 24hours a day but the bar is open from 11am-11pm weekends during the week not sure

Does anyone know if the bar and restaurant are finally open? It's too bad it's taken so long to reopen after the flooding.

This question is from 2019 and is no longer relevant. However are bar is opened 7 days a week including holidays. Best to check our Instagram @ther3hotel and Facebook posts for more current information on hours as they are changing as season… Read more

If I could, would give this 3.5 stars. Know before you go, you have to order at the bar. I didn't know, so I had to ask, but when I asked the bartender I got the sense he had to make that clear frequently which I get can be annoying, but he wasn't the friendliest when answering my question or taking my order. Meanwhile another bartender on the other end of the bar was audibly nicer. Maybe it was my bartender's demeanor or maybe the price tag, but I ordered and closed out my tab. Made my way over to my table with a cocktail and water (also self serve, don't ask) to await my food. The Paloma was strong but not particularly tasty. Luckily the food came out shortly after. The stars of the show were the curried cauliflower tacos that were much tastier and filling than expected and made me wish they were always on the menu. Runner up was the queso fundido even though it was a bit hard on the edges and required some scraping. Can't remember if the chips came with the queso or the ceviche but as someone that would order chips and salsa as one of my last bites on earth... these chips were very disappointing. Not because they tasted, bad but because they were the hardest chips I've ever had in my life. While this was bad, the ceviche was worse. Again not because of flavor but because of texture. The shrimp was overdone and I had literally just had better seafood minutes before as I was basically restaurant hoping fueling up on appetizers to sample a bit of everything. I'd come back for the ambiance, maybe a drink. Would order other bites but not come here hungry as it seems hit or miss.

Service is good too, attentive, bartender made an excellent drink. However, call me old school but I just shake my head at a drink that comes to $26. It was my friend's birthday so she ordered a cocktail called Undeleted which came with gin, gorgonzola cheese (very subtle), chartreuse and various juices. Yes it was beautiful, yes it was delicious and I wasn't going to deny her a birthday drink. However I wasn't prepared for the automatic 15% gratuity and 5% service fee with every order. If you come by, please check out the restroom. It is indeed worthy of a rest. The music plays in the background, a lit fragrant candle wafts in the air and the decor is more stylish than my living room. The toilet alone is a work of art with its black and white ceramic glamor. Needless to say, I may venture back to see what their happy hour business is all about and goes without saying that if I win the lottery, drinks are on the house.

The perfect setting for a special evening together. The food was outstanding, beautifully prepared, and every dish felt thoughtful and elevated without being pretentious. What truly made the experience memorable, though, was the exceptional service.
