This past weekend my wife and I moved out of our 2nd floor apartment to our first home. James and the other members of RA Movers made this move absolutely effortless and stress free. They were extremely professional, considerate and careful with all of our belongings. All of our larger furniture were wrapped by them and carefully loaded into their truck. They were very reasonable and totally worth it! I would absolutely recommend them to move you and your family anywhere and know they will take care of your belongings like their own. Not one item was broken, no walls were scratched and they went above and beyond to ask us where our items went in the new house and even moved a large dresser already at our new house which was too heavy for us to move prior. I have debated for 2 months to post this review, but after seeing some of the others... I am not alone. James and his team are young, personal and hard working. BUT something happened during our move and they had to "switch trucks". The concern started when they brought in a small table that had broken that they tried to glue together unsuccessfully. With no other comment other then the glue didn't work??? Unfortunately, we had to delay box opening and the full review of our items as we had the interior painted and recarpeted. So 90% stayed in our garage for 4-6 weeks. Once we started to set up the house we became VERY concerned with some damaged items. In addition, I found beds and chairs put together incorrectly causing a support to be broken in the bed which we had to replace (the bed). We kept saying "they are such good kids", but items kept piling up scratched, dented... The final straw was when we realized we were missing 1-2 boxes and I reached out to the office, simply to inquire and to ask if they could see if the next stop had our stuff (even though we were told we were the ONLY stop). Initially ignored, then given "James will be in touch". Guess what... NEVER heard from James. So disappointed as if they had simply gotten back to me apologized, and said they didn't have any extra boxes, this review NEVER would have been written. Hiding in your shell never pays off. So disappointed as this will catch up to them and they seemed like good kids. read more

I would be careful with working with RA Movers- Jim at first seemed like a good guy but seemed to be a little distracted with original phone call. Ee discussed original moving date and took deposit. Called to see if I could change date a day earlier- and said he would send me confirmation and never did. I called again and it seemed like everything was first name and last 4 digits like his entire computer system was on his phone- I canceled move 3 weeks before and he gave me all Kinds of hassles about returning my $50 deposir. He said he would and never did. After seeing other reviews on line- I'm out $50 but glad I did not have him move me. read more

They broke my TV, scratched my furniture and new home walls. The owner is a rude and dis h0nest person who has refused co-operating on compensating or setting up insurance claims. They add 3% fee for paying with CC which is never told to the customer until you take out the credit card to pay them. If something is broken in the move (which is very likely), you will be in trouble. Go for a professional company than this scam. read more

The owner underestimated how much stuff we had. He suggested that we rent a large trailer from U-Haul and he would tow it behind the truck. We were still forced to leave many things behind including my son's rocking chair that we had since he was a baby. They left the trailer on the road at our new house in Florida and didn't unload it. They told our realtor that it was not their responsibility and high tailed it out of there knowing that my husband was on his way. They never told us that they were leaving the trailer on the road full of our belongings! Their response for not unloading it was "garage was full" after the fact. It was not full. There was plenty of room to fit the contents. It was a complete waste of $1000+ to even get the trailer because most of the items inside were damaged... outdoor table cracked, wicker chairs damaged, garage shelf smashed. So many other things in the regular truck were damaged. They stacked heavy bins on top of lighter ones in our garage. Many bins were crushed. I'm still finding damaged and broken items! They charged us an extra $200 for tolls for the trailer. We are now getting bill after bill from states along the way to Florida. They never paid any of them! We have been trying to get a refund back but he only wants to do it through Zelle. He's just being nasty and disrespectful now. It's not about the measly $100 that he now wants to give us now. Great company always answered the phone when I called. Gave me a fair price to unload 2 pods into our 3 level home. Sent 3 guys to unload the 2 pods took them 4 hours and the pods were jam packed. Jim, Jake, and Mitchell were very nice and professional. Hustled very hard and got the job finished a lot faster than I thought it would take. Yesterday my wife and I moved and had the BEST experience we've ever had with moving through RA Movers. They were punctual, respectful, and took very good care of our furniture while moving it. They even went out of their way to break down a desk that seemed impossible to move. But they got it done in no time! This review is very overdue as I got Covid shortly after my move and truly just forgot to write it after that! The three guys from RA that moved me from my 3rd floor walk-up apartment in N. Attleboro to Wrentham in the November 2020 could not have been more professional, accommodating and fun to deal with. I know they were dismayed upon seeing just how many boxes I had packed that they needed to get down the 3 flights of stairs and then back up for more, but they never complained. Great attitudes with a sense of humor from all 3 men! They helped dismantle furniture and build it again upon arrival. Constantly communicating as to where and how I would like everything put. They came in under budget in the end, both monetarily and time wise. I would use them again in a heartbeat. read more

I wouldn't recommend this company. They never showed up to pack up our house belongings due to company complications. The day of the move went on so long I helped the crew unpack the truck. They left our garage full of our stuff to where the next morning I had to get a buddy to help pack up 2 pickup truck loads that belonged to us. I called them that morning to find out why they didn't bring everything with them outside the fridge, paint and lawnmower(as asked) and never got a call back. The communication was extremely poor- had to message multiple times the day before to get a confirmation as they promised me a confirmation call the day before. They ended up showing up 1.5 hours late... and the lady lied to me saying they were on the way just to get a call an hour later that they were just leaving Boston to come to Providence ( at least 45 min drive). The guys complained the entire time about having to help me and overall saying unprofessional stuff. Then they scratched three pieces of my furniture... overall super unpleased and would not recommend this company to anyone. Also they did not wear gloves or masks even though I initially was wearing a mask.. they never even acknowledged it. read more

Make sure your plans won't change because if they do they will not refund your $50 deposit that they insist you give in order to book. RA Movers moved a piano from my home in N Attleboro MA to my brother's home, in southern RI. I was very anxious about this move, since this Wurlitzer piano has been in the family for 4 generations, is a lovely instrument. Finding the window of availability for my brother, RA and myself was tricky, but Lucy, RA's office manager, was very helpful and accommodating. The rate was fair, and research confirmed that no local mover could offer a better one. When, at the last minute, circumstances required rescheduling, Lucy and RA Movers made things right, in all respects. The crew arrived on time, was considerate of my home, courteous and efficient. The piano was delivered...in perfect condition. I would, definitely, use this company, again! read more

So, I have to post an update, and this is something I do not take pleasure in doing, but I feel that people should be aware. Originally, I was so pleased with this company, but my move from their storage facility to my new home was an entirely different experience. They were 5 hours late (things happen, I understand) and they did not have my mattress. The owner was there, we agreed he would bring the mattress the next morning. Next morning came, no contact, long story short he ended up sending someone who worked for him and he didn't show up until almost 9 pm. When my mattress arrived it was ripped, filthy and basically unusable. I immediately contacted the owner and sent pictures. He said he would see what he could do, I sent him the receipt for my new mattress, weeks later he claimed he sent me an insurance claim which I never received and no more communication. I finally contacted the BBB, he said the mattress was wrapped, I had some sort of deductible (?) and he sent me the form he isn't sure why I didn't get it and that's that. I am only looking to get reimbursed for the mattress, not any of the money I paid for the services, I am trying to be reasonable, but this business clearly doesn't stand behind their work or customers and seem overall pretty shady. RA movers was very helpful for our moving needs. We moved from a condo to a 3 bed house. The office staff was super helpful in getting me scheduled for July 1, which was impressive because I know how difficult moving around that time is. Many other companies were telling us mid July or later. The team that showed up toured the condo with me, were thorough in asking questions about what was going/not going. They also disposed of an old couch and love seat that we no longer had use for! Of course with it being July, it was very hot and muggy, but they worked quickly and efficiently to get all of furniture and boxes placed in the truck. Nothing was broken, dented, chipped, or anything during this move. They took great care in our belongings, and I am very thankful to the crew that worked with us for making our move as smooth as possible. read more

We just moved for the second time in less than six months and used RA movers both times. The first time was out of Boston at the end of August to RI, then again into our new house. Both days weather was not ideal but they ensured our things were protected and were extremely efficient. All the crews both times were extremely accommodating, very nice, and helped me rearrange furniture a million times until it was where I wanted it, which they didn't have to do and really appreciated. I also have a lot of really heavy furniture that I was nervous about but they made it look easy (I'm sure it wasn't!) and we're very careful. Im not even going to bother with my "explaination" in detail...just be sure to watch everything they do and double check all your belongings before signing paperwork...they showed up in a Uhaul, left cardboard moving boxes on the wet dirty ground, small chip in corner of glass and they rushed me to sign the papers and pay so I didnt go over another hour, which seemed nice on their part but it was because they damaged my Brand New $1700 bed. I signed the papers without looking at anything and James Pina basically said...oh well you signed everything was ok. Super Disappointed and Angry! read more

Do not get me wrong, RA moving crew did a excellent job. The problem being the owner JAMES In May RA movers moved me from plainville to quakertown pa. During the move i saw them put mt six foot aluminum step ladder into the truck. During the move one of the workers told me they had to unload this truck to a smaller truck because they needed the larger truck for another move. Approximately 2-3 weeks later i needed my step ladder and it was not with my moved articles. I called JAMES and texted him several times. He did respond and said he had the ladder and would see how much it would cost to send the ladder. Over a month went by and no response. I told JAMES, I would like either my six foot aluminum ladder, a insurance form to get reimbursed for the ladder, or a check for $106.25 the cost to replace the ladder. They promised me 3 guys but showed up late with 2 guys. James and Steve were nice and took care to wrap and moved my things. Nothing was damaged. It was tough work for the 2 guys to move up and down staircases. It took a lot longer than their estimated time with only 2 guys so ended up costing much more than their estimate.
