I never received the delivery which was ordered through their website. Apparently they outsource delivery to a service called sauce. The delivery person dropped off someone else's food from the Guac shop. I called the restaurant and they said it wasn't their problem it was a delivery issue but there's nothing but an automated chat bot to submit a claim to for a refund request. So It's 24 hours later and I'm still waiting for some email proof that they are even considering refunding me the $67 order plus tip. The person's order I received of chips and Guac hopefully was pleasantly surprised to receive a whole families Indian dinner instead. I'm super annoyed by "sorry not our fault" attitude by the restaurant and non-existent customer support from The delivery service they partnered with. read more

My niece wanted to try Indian food for the first time and this was a well known restaurant close by. The restaurant is right on Atlantic Avenue and there is parking in front. When you enter, there are two seating areas. We were a party of 4, so we sat in the larger area. We were seated right away. Our server was very nice and kept checking in on us to see if we enjoyed the food or needed anything else. The menu is extensive. There is something for everyone. One of the reasons I chose this place. The food is delicious and they give you ample food. You won't leave hungry and will have enough for leftovers. We ordered the wings, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, shrimp vindaloo, Rogan Josh, and shrimp biryani. The wings could use more seasoning/salt but otherwise everything else was great. The biryani is delicious and had a good amount of large shrimp. If you order it spicy, you won't be disappointed. Goes well with the vindaloo. Super unassuming restaurant from the outside, but the food here was actually pretty good! I came by with my fiance & his parents for dinner since we were hoping to stay local. I wasn't expecting too much from Raagini, but I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered the tandoori mixed grill (which comes with tikka), chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, and the goat vindaloo. We ordered medium spice for all the dishes, but I would say spicy might be better for the tikka masala and butter chicken. I unfortunately don't eat goat, but the consensus was that medium spicy is PLENTY spicy for the vindaloo. I enjoyed the tikka masala more overall, but the chicken in the butter chicken was deliciously smoky and more flavorful. The tandoori mixed grilled was good too; the chicken wasn't dry at all. Garlic naan here is a must must must. Service was really kind, and he even offered us extra rice towards the end! This place has a lot of hype. Winning best of LI multiple time so of course had to try it out. Unfortunately was disappointed. The restaurant itself is very quaint and looks and smells great. The sort of atmosphere I'd expect. Though only dropped in for pickup. Got a few of my usual favorites and maybe they had a bad day but fell very short of expectations. Chicken tikka masala extra spicy - it was as if they ignore the spice level entirely. There was barely a hint of spice. The sauce was very runny, like a loose tomato sauce. Flavor sadly fell short. I think the best part was the chicken itself but with the sauce it missed the mark. Saag paneer - also very runny, seasoning was minimal, spice level utterly absent. Seemed like some paneer cheese was tossed into a blended spinach with minimal cream of seasoning Chili cheese naan - didn't taste any chili or cheese but was a good naan Garlic naan - relatively accurate. Satisfactory naan. I must say having been to a variety of Indian restaurants around Long Island sadly only 1 has hit the mark for me lately. Each order came with only 2 samosas and the garlic naans were 4 triangles. Got the lamb vindaloo (~$18) and also wished the portion for the actual curry was bigger. Came here Sunday evening. The place was empty but it seemed like they had a lot of out going orders. We ordered an appetizer of a chickpea thing and it was so yummy! All 3 of us ordered different types of chicken. All 3 were delicious. Service was fast. I wish we got more of the bread crackers with the oil in the beginning. Visited this establishment today for lunch very nice atmosphere and music to boot. I ordered the tandoori wings spicy which were mild on the spice and well done on the grill. Very juicy and well seasoned with the right amount of yogurt taste added. Next up I had the butter chicken with dark meat and extra spicy down just right. Many places have watered down standards for spice but this place does it just right if you request and ask for what you want exactly don't be shy a closed mouth doesn't get fed. We had the Bombay Crab Cakes and the Gobhi Manchurian for the appetizer. The crab cakes were spiced just enough over the mild side and the cauliflower is always my favorite! Unfortunately I had to work hard here to avoid eating anything carby and the server thought it was weird that I didn't eat any rice, I simply told him rice isn't my thing. I was actually really craving meat but the churascuria I wanted to go to in Bellmore was closed. The service was good here and I managed to find stuff that I didn't think was carby but may have been to eat. My appetizer was all meat and I was very happy about that. Hubby seemed to enjoy his meal picks as well. Just a tip they are BYOB here as far as bringing wine, I'm not sure if they have other drinks available. This is truly great Indian food! Our usual place in RVC has not been open the past few months due to COVID but we were happy to find Raagini open and available to fill our Indian food cravings! We have done pickup each time and its truly a contactless experience. You enter through a separate door, have 0 interaction and your food is sitting there for you. As of the food - its SO SO good. We are creatures of habit so always get the same things: shrimp saag, chicken tikka and cauliflowers app (we've tried all of them and they do not disappoint). All of the food has great flavor that make you want to drink the sauce or soak it up with the rice that comes with the entrees. I must say, we've become so obsessed with this place that we have started ordering from here on at least a weekly basis. After reading some of the reviews here I decided to try Raagini. There was 6 of us in the group. Everyone got something different. The food was so delicious. I love the fact that they offered so many different options. Our waiter Ras was very patient, attentive and helpful. He took beautiful pictures for us and of us. We got the appetizer plate which we gobbled down before our Guest of Honor arrived. So we ordered another appetizer plate when she came.
