I've been dealing with hormonal imbalance for the past four months. I'm currently with Kaiser and have seen nine different doctors, most of whom suggested anti-anxiety or antidepressant medication. However, I knew something deeper was going on. What I initially thought were panic attacks at night turned out to be hot flashes. I often felt dismissed and unheard, which was incredibly frustrating. My wife helped me research other options, and that's when we found Thrive. After reading so many positive reviews, I felt hopeful that I had finally found a place where I would be seen and heard. My first visit with the doctor was positive. She listened to my concerns and ordered bloodwork. However, after completing my labs, I had difficulty getting a follow-up appointment. My calls were not returned, and I eventually had to use the emergency text number just to get a response. I was told I had a phone appointment scheduled at 11 AM, but I never received a call. When I followed up, they offered me an in-person appointment later that day, which I accepted. During that visit, the doctor reviewed my labs and told me a pharmacist would contact me the next day to start testosterone treatment. Unfortunately, I never received that call. I want to be clear that I'm not trying to be difficult, but dealing with hormonal issues has significantly impacted my quality of life. I've been experiencing sleepless nights, restlessness, irritability, bladder issues, and an overall sense that I'm not functioning at my best. Given that this is an out-of-pocket service, the lack of communication has been extremely frustrating. I've since called and emailed multiple times without any response. Additionally, when you call their office, it goes straight to a generic voicemail that doesn't clearly identify the business, and messages are not returned. It feels like you have to constantly follow up just to get basic communication and even then, responses are inconsistent. I also want to add that I typically don't write reviews like this. However, if you are struggling the way I have been, I wouldn't want another woman to go through what I've experienced. I truly believe women should support one another and take each other's concerns seriously, and unfortunately, that has not been my experience here.

I arrived already 10 cm dilated, and the doctor came in while things were pretty chaotic but handled everything very calmly. I wasn't able to get an epidural in time, but she still advocated for me and supported my request to try, which meant a lot. She also guided me through different positions to help me push more effectively, which made a big difference. I especially appreciated her communication when our daughter's heart rate was dipping during contractions. Being told "there's nothing else you can do," "it's all in your head," and "you'll just have to learn to live with the pain." We've been through multiple surgeries, diets, medicines (daily shots included), BiPAP machines, therapists, neurologists, psychologists, and the list goes on. Dr. Aliabadi gave our daughter something she hadn't had in years: HOPE. Hope that she'll have less pain, closer-to-normal body functions, fewer stares from strangers with her skin issues, and hope of a chance to live a life without being in constant pain. My wife and I were in tears at her excitement and optimism and at the prospect of a treatment program that could change her life despite nearly being convinced that no such thing existed. Dr. Aliabadi took the time to get to know her on a level no other doctor or physician has ever taken the time to do. She handled all the testing in-house rather than being referred out to other testing facilities and back and forth with labs that often lose our records. She also referred her to someone who may be able to assist with her neurological challenges, literally texting the other doctor during the consultation. She's made an incredible difference in our daughter's life and in our family's. We are beyond grateful for Dr. Aliabadi's expertise and for giving us hope.

Most doctors offices these days send out reminders via email or text at least a week in advance of your appointment. When I did not receive a confirmation or reminder I reached out to the office by phone and email multiple times and no one responded to my emails or voicemails. I did not want to take time off of work for an appointment that wasn't confirmed and when I finally got someone on the phone I could practically feel her rolling her eyes at me as she told me they only confirm the day before. Okay, fine, but they could have emailed me back or called me back to answer my question instead of ignoring it for a week. Then I was billed three times for the same amount over the course of three months after I had already paid the bill. When I called the office to ask why my check hadn't been cashed and I was still being billed, the staff answering the phones was incredibly rude and told me to "take a breath" after I calmly explained my issue. I had already left a voicemail about the issue a few days before and no one called me back. Save yourself the headache and find a practice that employs responsive staff that can schedule effectively and bill effectively.

She made sure I got all my appointments set up with Dr Roger's and that everything ran smoothly. When my delivery came a little earlier than expected, Dr. Rogers didn't just stick to the standard 6 week checkup , she created a 2-4-6 week followup plan to make sure I was recovering well and feeling good. She also gave me great recommendations for classes, therapists, and other resources, and referrals which really showed how much she cares about her patients beyond just the medical side. In fact, they texted is to arrange to talk to coordinator. While their texting was inconsistent - at least it seemed we would be able to sign up. But when called to sign up we were told (surprise) no classes at all were available. In fact, no new class cohorts were even on the horizon. I have zero clue why they dragged out our expectations. No clue why they told us multiple times - even as of last week - that we could join no problem. Yet really they didn't even have classes to sign up for! Overall, this place seems very disorganized. And the people you talk to on the phone do not actually even seem to know what is going on with their own classes. They just sort of tell you "sure" and then let you down.

I got charged the cost of an MRI for that 30 second procedure. I pulled out my insurance card and they quickly check to see if they accepted it. They said "YES" I remember feeling relief and extremely happy. I was finally here figuring out what was wrong. Dr. Hill walked in & quickly introduced herself. She seem very nice but I felt she was rushing though it, asking all the basic questions. Then jumping into the COVID vaccine. After a really quick examination she said everything looked OK and there was nothing to worry about. She advised me go to see my primary physician that it might be a hormonal imbalance. I walked out confused on how quickly I was seen. The reception in the front office said ok your insurance will cover the office visits you just have a copayment. Later that month I got a billed. The following week at my Primary Physician he order some blood works & asked if I had already see a gynecologist. I explained that Dr.Hill didn't see anything out of the norm so he sent me to get a pelvic ultrasound. They found a fibroid in my uterus he's was extremely surprised Dr.Hill didn't see it because it's pretty large. I decided to come back to Dr. Hill so she would guide me through the process of removing it. She rechecked me, little did I know she will be charging me for a completely new office visit. Dr Hill completely missed it the first time and NOW I HAVE TO PAY FOR HER MISTAKE. Seriously don't waste your time or money coming here. This nightmare didn't end here. She mentioned Dr. Dennis Idowu was a specialist in this department so she referred me to him. Again another appointment with a different doctor he walked in and introduced himself. Dr. Dennis Idowu exam me and explained and drew what the fibroid looked like. He reassure me it was an easy procedure & took the time to explain the process of the surgery date then he said go head & schedule your surgical appointment with the front desk.. Finally surgery date which I thought. I got dropped off only to have another consultation with Dr. Dennis I was shocked I was having the same conversation we had on our last visit. Now dealing w/ the front office trying to make them understand how is it possible I got stuck with a six hundred dollar bill. All she said was there's been a miscommunication since day one. I never received a call or bill that I owed any payment until today over a year and a half. I would stay away from this office if possible seems like they are running some type of scam.
