The best part about these cupcakes is that the people who make them do not short change the amount of frosting on top! I will definitely keep this business in mind if I need a custom cake in the future, as they advertise this service in the shop. One thing I really miss is the banana chocolate chip cupcake. That cupcake was incredible, and I wish they would bring it back. It was one of the best flavors they ever had. I do think the menu leans too heavily into chocolate. There are two or three very similar chocolate cupcakes, which feels redundant. I would love to see more fruit flavors like strawberry, raspberry, other berry options, or a banana cupcake again. Variety would make an already great menu even better. That said, this is still my go-to cupcake place and one of the few true cupcake shops in Portland. I will always keep coming back.

The popover was light and airy, but it was the sweet, delicate Bavarian - or maybe French - creme that took it over the top! They need to be eaten there, not saved for another day. Today in particular I had a great interaction with Ana one of the employees. She welcomed me in, made sure I knew about the seasonal flavors and helped me quickly and kindly. Even in the middle of a transaction she welcomed other customers in a warm way. The store is more inviting now with less items and more cake oriented things. Just love coming here.
