Freddie is an awesome guy and helped me get my service scheduled and kept me informed throughout the process. Both break-in service and some additional accessory install that I requested were done, and I'm happy with the work. I'll definitely be back here for my future motorcycle needs! Edit 7/11: rental #3 done! Honda Rebel 500 this time around, really great machine to ride! I love that this one came equipped with a wind deflector which helped with comfort riding on the freeway. Definitely nicer having the parallel twin over the single, really enjoyed my ride! As always, it's a pleasure to interact with my favorite people at the store. Nini at the front desk was absolutely perfect for the job imo: compassionate, reassuring, and exactly what a first-timer needs before throwing a leg over a bike for the first time for real. Freddie and Henry were great too, really easy dudes to talk to and very helpful with sharing tips and other pointers for me. I'll be honest, I dropped the bike an equal number of times on both sides over the weekend, all at zero mph (embarassing af). Symmetrically bruised ego, perfectly balanced. Returning it felt intimidating, but the whole team handled it with zero judgment and genuine professionalism. I didn't try to hide anything and they made the whole process painless, albeit with some monetary penalties caused by my inexperience (I own up to this though). I'm leaving with my wallet lighter but with my heart genuinely fuller for the experience. The environment this shop creates for nervous beginners like me is genuinely rare, and it made me feel supported and motivated to come back and do better next time. Will absolutely be back for my next rental and keep getting ride time in, because real experience gained like I did is priceless. He took the time to listen to my concerns and scheduled an appointment for me to drop off my bike. About a week later, Alfie reached out with some honest recommendations, including changing my tires which I happily agreed to. His honesty and kindness are truly refreshing in today's world. Where finding folks who take pride in what they do a bit tough. Alfie also shared with me additional advice about my bike once I came to pick it up, which was great. He wrote me up…read morea contract for a good slightly used engine, but what he neglected to tell me was it comes with poor compression, an intake valve leak from front cylinder, completely seized beyond repair oil pressure release valve so pressure was through the roof, and oh I can't forget about the terrible crank shaft end play issue! End play was so bad that the compensating sprocket was kissing the inside of the outer primary and grinding away the outer primary from the inside out. Also it is forcing me to remove the engine myself (which I've never done) and split the crankcase (also never done) in order to figure out what exactly he did wrong, if it's fixable how much it'll cost but if not how much it's gonna cost to replace what needs replacing! Oh and due to the end play problems the clutch basket and hub are now being worn down by the primary chain bc they are no longer in alignment with the compensating sprocket! I will never trust him with anything mechanical as long as he lives!! I strongly suggest you stay clear of his place of shady business dealings! If you're unlucky enough to have your bike there now, I'd rush and get it moved somewhere else!

So I need the ECU to be upgraded with the Ducati Official Akrapovic Full System Exhaust Up-Map which only can be performed by official Ducati Dealer. I also want to add the DTC EVO2 software to further optimized the traction during track use. I start my research by emailing several Ducati Dealership in the Bay Area, Becki Moreno, The Service Business Development Manager from Ducati Concord was the first to respond back to me and quickly provide me with a quote by email. Not only Becki provide me with the fastest response, she also was very friendly, provide all the information that I asked in details and also provide the best quote (both software and service cost) compare to other dealership. Not to mention Ducati Concord is the only dealership that offer pick up from your home by their Mercedes Sprinter Van service. This is perfect because my bike is a "Display Only bike" with only 4 miles on the odometer, so I don't have to arrange transport myself. Then Becki introduce me to Mario Lopez, the Service Dept. Director at Ducati Concord. Mario further provide me with more information, on how the Software upgrading procedure will be and take notes of all my extra requests due to customization level of my bike. Mario basically provide me with the feeling that my bike is in great professional hand. At the agreed date, Marco their Van Transporter Driver called me in the morning, giving me real time update on when he will arrive at my house to pick up my bike. Marco arrived on time, have great friendly personality, and also a motorcycle enthusiast. Please note that Marco is a young person but have the great personality and attitude that is usually not found with a person at his age. He took great care of my bike when he secure it on his van and off my bike go. Later, Renee from their head office called me to confirm that my bike arrived and also ask me for final confirmation to all the service that I agreed. The following day, Renee again called me to let me know all service had been done and to get my payment information. Renee is also very pleasant to talk too and super nice. A day later, Josh is the Van Transporter Driver for delivering the bike back to my home. Like Marco, he called in the morning and also have some great personality as Marco. It's feel like Josh is the Twin Great Personality of Marco. In summary, I never felt treated as good as this with every service dept. Car or Motorcycle I had been to. Ducati Concord Service Dept. level of customer service is even better than at Porsche/Lexus/BMW/Mercedes/Infiniti dealerships that I deal in the past. I greatly recommend anyone in the Bay Area to give Ducati Concord a chance to service your Ducati. Thank You Becki, Mario, Marco, Renee and Josh. I really appreciate and so happy to see my dashboard now shows Racing EVO and Race EVO each time I started my bike :-)

Mario took the time to listen to my concern, throughly investigated the issue, showed me what they did, and made sure I was happy with the work. I also spent some time talking with some of the people on the sales team while I was waiting for my bike to be serviced and they were all very knowledgeable and helpful. They were putting the finishing touches on their new showroom while I was there and it looks really nice. There were plenty of bikes for me to check out while they were looking over my bike. I cannot say enough good things about the service department at Ducati of Concord after my first experience there. Even though I live quite far from them, I intend to continue having my Ducati serviced there.

My Bello Moto experience has been a mixed bag of ups and downs. Please take into account that my…read moreexperience at Bello Moto is strictly online, email, and phone calls. Also, I am new to the Vespa world in general and didn't know much about anything. However, I am a quick study and have been educating myself since my interest to purchase arise. The staff has been good for the most part. Dean is a professional that will go over the models, pricing, service, and any questions about the product. Dean has been extremely helpful and patient when answering my questions. Scott is a good guy, that doesn't always respond to emails, which bothers me as a paying customer. Pros: This location will provides a great selection of vintage Vespas on this side of the Mississippi! They acquire Vespas locally or have them shipped from Italy. You will get a quality product from Bello Moto. Cons: The prices are top tier. In a market where finding a vintage Vespa of your choosing is few and far in between, perhaps this is a good problem. There were many little problems Bello Moto should share with customers that are not local since they ship the products nationwide. The clutch did not have the gear numbers stamped in. This made guessing the gears hard for this new rider. The kick stand leaned to one side. The throttle did not snap back, making that a very dangerous to ride! Truth be told, I still would have purchased it, but I would have appreciated a heads up especially if I am paying top dollar. The description said it was a 1974 Vespa with "factory holes for turn signals". When I got the title, I learned it was actually a 1976 model. The factory holes for turn signals led me to believe that I could have someone install the turn signals at some point. I was told I couldn't add the turn signals because the aftermarket compression brake took up all the conduit space, making it impossible as it is. Here is one of my biggest problems, It was more than that. The whole wiring harness, including the switchers, have been ripped out. I didn't learn that until I had the product shipped to me. These items are not found on the market! Luckily I found a competent mechanic in Orange County that made a customer electrical harness and was able to get my front and rear turn signals operational in tandem with the aftermarket brake. I had Bello Moto install a right hand side mirror because I am blind in my right eye. This was a crucial must for me. They said that a handlebar mount (to match the left one) was impossible due to the aftermarket front brake so they installed an overcharged mirror onto the shield. Turns out that a matching mirror could be ordered and installed despite Bello Moto saying it was impossible to. Bello Moto needs to be transparent with their clientele. Vintage Vespas sell themselves! Inform your potential cliental of any and all issues. Setting the proper expectations to someone that can't walk up in person is crucial for a great customer experience. I wish I knew about the electrical system being compromised for turn signals. Also, all the little problems should be discussed. Your mechanics gave bad advice for mirror solutions.

The classic scooter scene in SF can be a hard one to break into. You basically have to "know…read moresomeone" to ever acquire one. As a new classic enthusiast, Bello Moto helped me navigate that barrier. Their shop is one of the few in the Bay that you can go to and have a selection of amazing classics to choose from. I can't think of another place that you can walk in and choose a vintage Lambretta or Vespa and ride away with it that day. They have up to date stock on their website. And the turn around time for getting it on the road is lightning quick. Granted, these scooters are not cheap. But the Lamby 1967 Li150 series 3 I chose is pristine. The few little issues it had were taken care of immediately. Tim was fantastic. I flooded the engine in my garage and was having shifting issues after I got it home. He came to my place and got me on the road again. It had to go back in for some clutch adjustments and Tim made sure everything was running great even weeks after the purchase. The day I drove off the lot I got about 5 min away and ran out of gas..Tim came through again with the save and I was so grateful. He taught me so much about my new scoot..how to unflood the engine, change the spark plug, adjust my clutch cables etc. he was very patient and really wanted me to ride away happy. All the men I know in the scene said I'd never get my hands on a Lambretta..and now because of Bello I'm a proud owner. I did some light mods on it today and am so happy to have a new wrenching project. Thank you so much to Tim and Jeff for all your help and my new baby :)
