Avoid Raceway Kia at all costs. This was one of the worst car-buying/leasing experiences I have ever had. The salesperson explained almost nothing about the vehicle and rushed the entire process. I didn't even truly see or go over the car until I was already driving off the lot. Once I got home, I realized the vehicle was missing features I specifically thought I was getting. The finance/lease process was even worse. I was told the ONLY way I could get approved was with a much higher payment, yet somehow I am not even listed as the primary lessee while the co-signer is. That was never properly explained. The entire deal felt misleading and incredibly shady. After only TWO DAYS, I returned to the dealership upset and asked to exchange the vehicle because I was so unhappy. Their "solution" was to increase my payment another $150 per month. Completely unrealistic and honestly insulting considering how unhappy I already was. Their advertising and customer service motto mean absolutely nothing once the papers are signed. They care about making the deal, not making sure the customer understands what they are driving home in. Do yourself a favor: slow down, read EVERYTHING carefully, and do not let them rush you. Fast forward to many horror car service experiences, I returned my car three years later for the dealer to tell me I owe them a spare key. I explained I only received one key. Now Kia Finance is charging me $375 for something I never received. I tried contacting the finance company, Kia Customer care and the dealership and still no one has been able to help me. I wish I could give 0 stars. Im shopping around for a top-trim 3 row suv and have multiple quotes from around East coast. Came here to test drive Telluride SX Prestige. Carlos was very efficient and we got to drive the car enough to understand that I will make offer. We came back; and after the usual mambo-jumbo; its their turn to make first ask. Nothing. They just keep pointing at the car which has 8k "market adjustment" sticker. After I show them that their own website has a promo for this exact car (matched VIN) at 1k under MSRP - manager got involved. They refused to prepare out-the-door quote at this level. So, I showed them 5 cheapest cars of the same trim on autotrader on various dealers. The difference between the cheapest and most expensive of 5 was just about 2000; so I made an offer at that level (I think its about 5500 under msrp). Carlos finally went into the "do not enter" room. Messed around with their PC and came out with a comp that is 2 years old and already had some major services done, and offered that car for my price. I was trying to explain that my offer stands for the car that we test drove. He could not believe, so the front desk guy (who claims he is a manager, yet refused to make my ANY offer) showed up again. I once again explained why I believe that my price is fair and accurate, that I do not care about their internal pricing model. There was no shake and I left, without ANY offer by the dealer to come back to. Do not come here unless you're ok with paying 8-10k over sticker. Use autotrader and I will show you how to get discounts up to 20k (yes those are real). If anyone from Kia wants to discuss this experience and actually sell me a car - I will gladly talk to them. Brought my Sorento in for recalls, which should've been simple. Instead, it turned into a hassle. First, getting a loaner was like pulling teeth. When they finally gave me one, it was a tiny, bright-blue subcompact that felt more like a punishment than a courtesy. Still, I was glad not to be stranded. The real issue was the service receptionist. From the start, her attitude was condescending and rude as if I was asking for a personal favor rather than addressing Kia's recalls. I've got perfect credit, never missed a payment, and even referred co-workers here, yet I was treated like I was trying to scam free services. Worse, when returning the loaner, she immediately tried to claim I hadn't filled the gas properly. Thankfully, I had taken pictures of the gauge and mileage before leaving, which proved I was right. Only then did her attitude suddenly change. It makes me wonder how many other customers fall for this. Telling me i was making a big deal over nothing juding on how she was handling this, you can tell this isnt a one off. and having worked in car sales myself, I recognize the game, or her inexperience As for their "white glove service" -- the promised car wash was nothing more than a quick rinseon the outside, and both the salesman and manager ignored my request for a call to discuss these issues. I have been going back and forth with the salesman and managers for months in reference to a problem I had when trading in my lease and financing a vehicle. My daughter purchased a 2022 Sportage from them brand new. She drives a lot and was putting about 20,000 miles per year on the car. She called Raceway Kia to reschedule a service appointment she had. A little while later, she gets a call from a salesman there who "guarantees he can get her in a 2026 Sportage for $100 less per month than what she pays now with zero money down". When we get there, they tried everything they could to get her to lease a plug in hybrid Sportage. It was all a complete scam and a waste of time. In the course of all the b/s and back & forth, I ask about various fees they charge. First are the insane addendums that they add to pad their prices. Like fabric protection for $450...yeah right. The doc fees are $895 and dealer prep fees are $895. After you get hosed by paying way over the window sticker price, then they stick it to you again with over the top fees. They are the most dishonest dealership I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. If you're smart and want the best deal you can get on a new Kia, this is not the dealership for you. read more

I had the most pleasant experience working with Justice Hodges at this dealership. I was at the end of my lease term, and I needed to purchase my vehicle outright. Without getting into specifics, obtaining a "good" loan was nearly impossible. Justice was so empathetic, and he truly listened to what my needs were. Without hesitation, he reached out to his finance manager who at the time, was extremely busy. He and I spoke in the meantime, not just about the car loan, but honestly, life in general. No, he wasn't just making small talk, he is truly a caring person. When we realized that Dan, the finance mgr. was still tied up, Justice promised to call me with any updates. While it took several days to research lenders, Justice would reach out almost daily to keep me updated. Mind you, he really didn't stand to make much money on the deal, if anything. Dan also reached out while he and Justice were sitting together, and he gave me options that I wasn't willing to live with. No fault of Dan's. Ultimately, I decided to pay cash for the buyout. Justice, being the honest person that he is, advised that I just contact Kia directly to do the deal without the middleman. I will remain friends with this lovely man, and I highly recommend anyone looking to purchase a Kia, or anything else on the lot in Freehold, to ask for Justice. This is now the 2nd negative review I've had to do. Hands don't the worst service center I have ever dealt with. My first car 2 years ago the transmission went after a month. They swapped me one where the engine also went. I got a flat tire yesterday and they sold me a car without a spare so I had to have it towed there. I called every half hour all day and no one answered. They wouldn't even answer me or the tow when the salesperson went over and asked them to. I've had to pay out of pocket for Ubers bc they're too lazy to answer the phone and too incompetent to sell a car with a spare. The salesman was very nice and so was his manager, the problem I encountered was they couldn't get together as to price to lease the vehicle . They weren't consistent in what they were telling me, immediately I was suspicious of the possible transaction . I was given the term of 48 months at 365 or I could take the lease for 365 at 36 months , nothing added up . I was very uncomfortable about the whole deal it just didn't seem right for me . I do not recommend buying a used car here. I cannot speak to the new experience, but highly recommend avoiding this place for anything used. I bought a 2022 Sorrento - when I went to look at it the windshield was cracked, the sales guy told me to not let it deter me from buying it and that they'd take care of it and fix it. After waiting a month for an appointment, all they did was put some glue in to seal the crack - not actually replace or fix anything. So now I have to pay over $1,200 for a new windshield due to being misled there (I asked multiple times if the crack would be FIXED, not just glued shut). I would NOT have purchased a car (yes it is used, but new to me) with a cracked windshield. They continued to tell me there was a second set of keys they just had to get from the owner.. that was not true, there was not another set and now I have to pay $650 for new keys. There are 2 head rests missing - they said those would be replaced -- after going back in person they said I would have to wait until they could find a way to replace them (AKA that will never happen). The "new" tires were also bad on the car and one has already had to be replaced (they did replace it free of charge, so I will give them one star for that). There are also multiple mechanical problems inside the car (windows don't go down, can't lock it from the inside- which they should be repairing, but I will believe it when I see it). Overall - make sure to get EVERYTHING in writing, and do not buy something with any small issues because you likely will never get them fixed. I spent $28,000 and now have to spend another $2,000 for a new windshield & keys. Oh and on top of that, they gave me the wrong license plates - so they do not match my registration etc so I now have to deal with that. I would steer clear from this place and purchase somewhere else. read more

I attempted to connect with a sales representative at Raceway first thing in the morning. Was told that they were too busy at that time and then I would hear back. After about five hours I reconnected and then ended up waiting another hour and a half before someone was able to call me and discuss a car that I was interested in. The car I was looking at had been on the lot for almost 90 days. Danny did a FaceTime walk around and was very helpful throughout (to be fair). By early evening we were by phone negotiating the price. A sales person named Danny was the go-between myself and a manager named Dave. As of 6:32 PM I had my offer to Danny and I waited for a response back. My offer did not include the stated dealer prep fee of $895 which seemed unreasonable for a car that only had 16,000 miles on it and still had its original tires. Although the dealership closes at 8 o'clock, I never received a phone call. The next morning I reached out and was told that the car had been sold to someone who came in at 7:15 at night. No call was given to me to keep me in the loop. I was not asked at any point if I would pay the full asking considering a new person had come into the picture after 88 days of sitting on the lot. Raceway Kia finishes strong! Jake Lebowitz and his staff went above and beyond to ensure that we got the vehicle of our dreams! The experience was fast and easy! First we took our Kia Sorento on a test drive with Glenn King. He did his best to make us comfortable and gave us all the information on the vehicle's features. Once we came back we decided to move forward on to paperwork. We met with Vlad Frenkel, the General Sales Manager, and he handled all our questions and concerns with grace (and a smile!). The total price and payments were exactly what we wanted. As an added surprise, the head of Service, Chris Miros, came out to greet us and offered to answer any questions about the vehicle, he even gave us some background on the matnience that had be done on the vehicle! He was a great help in learning how our remote start functions! Lastly we met with Danny Santos, the Finance Manager. I've never had a worse service experience before, brought our 2012 Kia in for a recall and they give my mother a list of things that need to be done. While there were things I was aware of that needed to be fixed on the vehicle, they tried tacking on ridiculous fees like "Oil and Transmission service". Rather than let these scam artist fix her car, I take it to a trustworthy shop where they promptly found shop rags stuck under the motor between the exhaust and the turbo, which very easily could have caused an engine fire. When confronted over the phone, the man on the other line had a piss poor, lackadaisical attitude and wouldn't accept responsibility.
