Rack Room Shoes is at the far end of the mall close to Le'Host Wigs and Five Below. When walking in I was greeted and asked if I was looking for anything specific . They had a sale going on certain shoes but one get second pair half off. What I noticed while shopping was that on the shoes that were on sale with the promotion, they seemed that the price was a bit higher than normal. So not so much a sale . Reviews vary, but I've had good experiences here. There's a fairly good variety of styles and prices are reasonable. When there's a BOGO sale (and with other savings through email/online offers), it's even better - especially on a budget. The salespeople have been very helpful and they'll even order and ship size shoes to you if you can't find the right size in the store. Purchased $61 sneakers online because I cannot afford transportation to get to the store (19 miles from me). Received them today... they're the wrong shoe. I looked online to see their exchange policy - I have to exchange in store... So I just want my money back at this point... but they say I need to pay for insurance and a tracking method. So let me get this straight... I purchased cheap shoes (because I cannot afford better) through their online platform (because I cannot afford transportation) and since their warehouse could not pay attention to labels or... colors, I have to either pay for an uber to get me to their store 19 miles away or I have to pay for insurance so they can get their shoes back. Came by today looking for shoes for an interview and an associate told me they were having a BOGO 50% off deal, sweet! The sales associate were friendly and knowledgable of their products location and also what sizes they carry. I ended up buying heels and some Nikes for ~$105. First time ordering from this company. I tried to order shoes online and the coupon wouldn't work so I called customer service to help. He was nice, but after being on the phone for 30 min, the code still didn't work and charged me for the full amount. He said he would refund for the coupon amount. After that, I never received a confirmation email from the company but screenshotted my information after I ordered. I called the store for pick up information, and a woman named Neesha answered. I explained to her that I never received an email and wanted to see if my shoes were ready for pick up. She asked my information and said yes. I again explained that I never got an email and I didn't know what the status of my shoes were. I got off early from work to make it before they closed; when I walked in, I wasn't greeted and I walked up to the counter and noticed a woman wiping down the register. I said I had a pick up and she didn't even acknowledge me and continued to clean the register. I walked away and after a few minutes she asked what I needed. I repeated and she got my shoes. I showed her my screenshots and my ID and she said she wouldn't take that and I couldn't have my shoes. I explained again that I talked to her on the phone and said I didn't have an email. She said she wouldn't help and that I needed to call the manager in the morning. I then explained that I got off early and she should have said that on the phone when I talked to her the she wouldn't help. I asked for another manager and she said she was the only ASM there. I noticed another worker and asked who that was. She went and got him and his name was Sam. He said he was the other ASM and was there to help. He was so kind and friendly. I explained and showed him my screenshots and ID and he was able to override it in the system and was very helpful. If Neesha could do everything Sam could, she could have easily helped me with my shoes. She refused to help and give any sort of customer service at all; extremely rude. She lied on several different occasions and had horrible customer service. She even refused to give her name when I asked for it. What ASM behaves this way? I always make sure to stop by stateline and go into the rack room to stock up with those good sales. The service is beyond good. The associates are always so helpful, willing to take the extra step and share the knowledge to be able to receive the best deals. I dont know what it is about the people working out in Primm but I guarantee you they are 100% always better than buying in the city. I always leave with no less than 4 pairs of shoes or sandals. The only reason I knocked a star off was because I called (so I could ask where exactly they're located instead of walking all around the mall in a time crunch) and no one answered. Otherwise, my experience ordering online was easy and the instore pick up was easy, too. Upon arrival, I was greeting by assistant manager Sheldon who was so friendly it made me forget I walked all the way across the mall LOL I made a mistake on the shoe size and when he and the staff were filling my order, they set aside the size they thought I may have meant to order based on the other sizes, which I truly appreciated. He did a quick exchange for me and I was on my way. That was the first time I'd been to the store and it looks like they have a really wide variety of products. I would not have given a star at all but I had to. I went to rackroom shoes on 4/03/2019. I had the most uncomfortable experience ever. I am a 55 year old brown woman and I was followed around the store by one of the employees. I wasnt sure at first until I decided to move around a bit. He came to me 3 times asking me was I ready to check out. I had been in the store for about 5 mins. I told him no, why? He walked away but he never approached the 20 other customers in the store. I came to the conclusion it was because I was the only black person there. I started watching him to c if he was following me, and he was. Im more than sure I make more money in a day then he make in a week. All blacks dont steal. I stopped and looked at things I knew I didnt want just to see if he was going to surface, and he did. I made my purchase but I've been feeling very uneasy about the purchase and the employees behavior. 12 days later and it's still bothering me so I'm going to take my items back and never shop at their stores again.
